A cataclysm. A new world with many fundimental changes, or perhaps an old world with a new face. New entities that have never before been seen.

A young man named Gareth awakens unusual powers in the form of a symbiotic transdimensional entity. These powers can change the world, prevent the extinction of humanity, and perhaps even pave the way for a whole new world. However, where there is power, there will always be those who seek to abuse it. They aren't content with sharing, and will do absolutely anything to stop Gareth from becoming who he was destinied to be.

Caveat: While the novel does contain the LitRPG tag, this is not the primary focus of the story. Instead, the LitRPG structure is used as a plot device within this story.
