The powers that be have long since come to regret and fear the nulls of society. For what use is living life with magical supremacy when one can from birth forever be unaffected by your prowess. How can a ruler force their will upon the land to one who is by their very nature immune to their gods given superiority.

Even when a bad path is given, there is still a chance. One can, if their deeds are deemed to be exemplary by the gods, change their fates.
