Alana has always felt there was something about the dreams she had that were different from normal. That's why she tried so hard to paint them...maybe getting them out there will keep these nightmarish monsters and eerily fairy tale like beings from plaguing her peaceful sleep.
How could she have known that these very paintings would be the binding of her ultimate fate and love. In the form of a six-foot-something-glory of a man whose every expression was to glare at everyone and everything that crossed his path.
Now thrown in his world, Alana must figure out what happened to make this man so unfeeling and immune to happiness. The devastating look hidden deep in his eyes couldn't just be because he is cold hearted.
It's during this process of unravelling pieces of his past that Alana finds out that she has something he needs, something he has been looking for.
Alana becomes suddenly determined to give it to him. If it meant relieving him from his pain, she was determined to give him everything. Even if it meant losing her life in the process.
All because, she hadn't planned for it, as instantaneous as it was, falling in love with with this man who also happened to be her best friend's boss. Lylas Fury.
