Nathaniel has used what money he had to buy a VR cocoon and to pay off the next few months' worth of bills. He has two ways to move forward in life- to find a new job, or to hope that he can make enough money playing Final Escape to feed his meager, human body.

He has rolled randomly, as only a fool would do, and finds himself playing a Kobold magus who wields the power of life itself. Hopefully, his role-playing is entertaining enough to generate revenue, because the game is changing his real self... or else, his real self is changing the human-shaped shell he used to wear.
