In an unremarkable forest in the world of Stillera, there lies a laboratory that houses various experiments, and genetically modified lifeforms. A team of researchers look up from their observation room, studying the domed arena. One of them leans forward, speaking into a microphone.

"X1, move to testing grounds."

A dark shadow emerges from one side, tentacles covered in eyes waving through the air as it inspects the arena.

The shadow notices them staring at it.

So it stares back.

(The premise of this novel is heavily inspired by Super Minion. Everything else, not so much.)
