《Dragon Prince Yuan》Chapter 969 Can’t Hide Any Longer

Bzz!
Twelve flashes of gold rapidly grew in Zhou Yuan’s eyes. The savage aura that assaulted his senses made it feel as if real beasts were pouncing straight toward him. A storm of devastating Genesis Qi unfurled, causing Zhou Yuan’s skin to tighten abruptly. He felt a faint prickling pain all over his body.
He had no intention of underestimating his opponent. With a deep breath, he clenched his hands, and 58 million Genesis Qi stars twinkled and surged out behind him, rippling the surrounding space.
Rumble!
One of the golden beasts arrived, its sharp claws slicing through the air, tearing tiny cracks in the fabric of space. The claw descended like a cannonball and blasted away the air.
With a solemn expression, Zhou Yuan gasped the sword light in his hand and ruthlessly slashed.
Clang!
The sword light and the sharp golden claw collided in a flurry of sparks, the surrounding air shuddering.
At the moment of impact, Zhou Yuan clearly felt a terrifying power flood towards him. The force violently jerked his entire body.
Clang! Clang!
Before Zhou Yuan could return to his senses, the attacks of the other eleven golden beasts arrived. Claws seemingly filled the sky as they descended, heading for Zhou Yuan’s vitals.
Even Zhou Yuan did not dare to face the onslaught of attacks. His figure moved away in a flash, turning into a blur as he hurriedly retreated.
However, the twelve golden beasts followed like shadows. Wave after wave of attacks left Zhou Yuan no chance to even catch his breath.
Clang clang clang!
Sparks flew in every direction as Zhou Yuan’s figure was beaten back with each blow. The twelve golden beasts’ excellent teamwork nearly suffocated him.
In the starry sky, the members from the various regions secretly wet their lips at this scene. The Yaogui Region’s puppets were truly terrifying. Even Yuan Kun, Jiu Gong and other similar veteran practitioners would be hard-pressed in the face of such an onslaught.
Yuan Kun wore a rather grave expression on his fatty face. How could he not tell that Xu Ming’s attacks were filled with killing intent? He clearly planned on heavily injuring Zhou Yuan. If Zhou Yuan had nothing else up his sleeve, it would be very unlikely for him to make a comeback.

Since Yuan Kun could arrive at such a conclusion, the heaven prides from the other regions were naturally able to do so as well.
Jiu Gong inwardly shook her head. Although Zhou Yuan’s Genesis Qi had reached 58 million through the four spirit runes, he seemed to be somewhat lacking in terms of technique.
“What a pity. Zhou Yuan has extraordinary potential and will likely stomp Xu Ming once he unlocks his ninth Divine Dwelling…” Jiu Gong felt rather regretful. Perhaps Xu Ming also understood this and thus repeatedly provoked Zhou Yuan in hopes of eliminating him before he could unlock his ninth Divine Dwelling.
With regards to Zhou Yuan, there was a deep sense of dread and envy in Xu Ming’s heart. After all, Zhou Yuan could already compete with a ninth heaven Divine Dwelling stage expert like him at the eighth heaven Divine Dwelling stage. This point alone was enough to prove that Zhou Yuan’s talent far surpassed his own.
Wu Yao calmly observed the fight on the giant stone statue’s head. Behind her, Zhao Yunxiao was closely watching with wide-open eyes and gritted teeth, as if unable to wait for the moment when Zhou Yuan would be destroyed.
On the Zixiao Region side, Xue Jingtao was secretly excited as he watched Xu Ming completely suppress Zhou Yuan. He looked towards Su Youwei and said in a serious voice, “Junior sister Youwei, you’ve already offended Zhao Mushen. You cannot interfere later if Xu Ming eliminates Zhou Yuan!
“Even our Zixiao Region won’t be able to handle offending both the Wanzu Region and the Yaogui Region together.” He tried his best to persuade her.
Su Youwei silently looked at Xue Jingtao with her clear eyes. He somewhat unnaturally looked away as he said, “I’m trying to think of our Zixiao Region.”
A sliver of disdain flitted past the depths of her eyes. She indifferently said, “Don’t worry. He won’t lose to Xu Ming.”
Strange anger rose in Xue Jingtao’s heart when he heard Su Youwei’s confidence in Zhou Yuan. He sneered and said, “Oh? He’s currently being one-sidedly beaten. I don’t see any chance of him turning things around.”

Su Youwei nonchalantly replied, “That’s because the gap between him and you is too big.”
Veins popped up on Xue Jingtao’s forehead. He almost couldn’t hold back his anger. He sarcastically said, “Is that so? Well, I’ll be happily waiting to see how he will turn things around, then.”
...
Clang!
Sword light swept forth and smashed into five golden beasts. The dazzling sword light was forcefully shattered, bursting into countless specks of light.
Zhou Yuan’s figure was thrown backward, his feet leaving long marks on the ground.
The Genesis Qi in his body was somewhat unstable. The battle power of these twelve golden beasts had surpassed his expectations. Furthermore, they had perfect coordination, and it was very difficult for Zhou Yuan to put up a fight, given his 58 million Genesis Qi foundation.
Zhou Yuan frowned a little. It seemed he could not underestimate any of the veteran heaven prides of the other eight regions. Such power, technique and tactics were truly a pain to deal with.
Looks like he had no choice but to get serious. He could no longer conceal all of his cards.
Roar!
The twelve golden beasts suddenly roared during Zhou Yuan’s brief distraction. Gold flashed, and they appeared around Zhou Yuan, taking up twelve different positions and sealing off any path of escape.
Golden light surged from their bodies and chased away the shadows, greatly weakening Zhou Yuan’s Celestial Shadow Art.
Dark golden light frantically converged towards their mouths, undulating with terrifying pulses. The surrounding space began to warp a little.
Nearby, Xu Ming smiled smugly as he looked at Zhou Yuan and sighed. “Zhou Yuan, I can’t believe you let yourself be distracted. Since you made such a silly mistake, don’t blame me for showing no mercy.
“Scram with all of your people.”
He abruptly clapped his hands together, a low voice ringing out, “Twelve Golden Armaments!”
Roar!
Boundless golden light burst from the golden beasts’ mouths. It frantically converged, turning into twelve different glowing golden weapons.
Sword, spear, axe...
Every weapon flickered with utmost sharpness. They shot forward, piercing through the air like an unstoppable army.
The twelve golden weapons were as swift as lightning, and many onlookers were only able to make out flashes of gold. However, this did not stop them from feeling a sharp aura that made their scalps turn numb.
Everyone knew that Xu Ming had brought out his killing move. His attack was enough to seriously injure, or even kill, Zhou Yuan!
Swish!
As the golden light zipped towards him, it seemed impossible for Zhou Yuan to dodge. In the end, he could do nothing as the twelve golden weapons struck his body with devastating force.
Boom!
Golden light exploded, and a golden shockwave unfurled.
Lu Xiao, Ye Bingling, Yi Qiushui and the others shuddered and paled substantially.
If Zhou Yuan took such an astonishing attack, he would most certainly sustain grave injuries!
The corners of Xu Ming’s mouth rose at an angle. He lazily stretched his body and mumbled to himself, “Trash that can only rely on words…”
He raised his head, looked towards Su Youwei and grinned as he wordlessly transmitted, “Su Youwei, I already told you that you couldn’t protect this trash!”
This stone statue was his!
While Xu Ming was grinning from ear to ear, he suddenly heard several gasps.
The tips of his eyebrows trembled as he violently jerked his head in Zhou Yuan’s direction. The golden light gradually faded, revealing a silhouette.
His pupils abruptly shrank. A figure in silver armor was silently standing amidst the fading gold, slowly exuding an indescribably terrifying aura.
His twelve golden weapons fell around Zhou Yuan, broken and shattered, turning into specks of light that soon dissipated into the air.
All of this was reflected in Xu Ming’s eyes as he stared at the silver-armored figure giving off a chilling aura. The corners of Xu Ming’s mouth twitched slightly. An unexplainable chill stealthily rose in his heart.
What in the world is that?
