《Dragon Prince Yuan》Chapter 1249 Show of Might

The enormous crack on the ground was akin to a deep abyss, causing the eyelids of several onlookers to jump. Reverence flooded their eyes when they looked back at the giant creature in the sky.
An Alpha sacred beast’s pressure was exceptionally effective against Genesis Beasts like them.
Even experts of the same cultivation level would be slightly suppressed by the pressure.
Although Jiang Ba had always maintained a low-profile, everyone knew that he was the Mystic Dragon Clan team’s strongest expert, stronger than even Jiang Hongying. After all, he was a pseudo Law Domain expert.
However, Jiang Ba had clearly lost out in the earlier exchange with Tuntun. Evidently, lord Ancestral Taotie’s battle power was even greater than his own.
On the ground, Jiang Ba’s expression was somewhat gloomy, but his eyes were clearly dominated by a look of fear and wariness. Although he had not dared to underestimate Tuntun, he had felt that he should not lose to it. However, the earlier clash taught him that he had still underestimated an Alpha sacred beast’s power.
Although Tutun had yet to fully awaken, it was still powerful without equal.
The Mystic Dragon Clan experts finally returned to their senses and hurriedly landed, crowding around behind Jian Ba as they cautiously stared at Tuntun.
Jin Zhong and the others also swiftly moved forward to stand behind Tuntun and glare at their enemies.
Zhou Yuan had defeated Jiang Hongying, and now Tuntun had forced Jiang Ba back. These events were undoubtedly a tremendous boost to their morale.
Below, Zhou Yuan raised his brows at this scene. That was likely Tuntun’s true power earlier. It was indeed rather terrifying and according to his estimates, Tuntun should be at the apex level even among these pseudo Law Domain experts.
“Not bad.” He gave a thumbs up to Tuntun.
However, Tuntun merely snorted white mist from its nostrils and proudly raised its head.
Although Jiang Hongying had repeatedly provoked Zhou Yuan earlier, Tuntun felt that Zhou Yuan could deal with her. Moreover, it would naturally not interfere in a fair fight. However, Jiang Ba had attacked in anger due to Jiang Hongying’s defeat, an act which obviously went against the rules. Did they think that lord Tuntun was a pushover?
Zhou Yuan’s gaze shifted towards the somewhat miserable figure of Jiang Ba as he grinned, “It seems that the Mystic Dragon Clan do not understand the meaning of rules.”

Although he was smiling, his eyes were rather cold. If Tuntun had not moved in time earlier, he most likely would have been caught off guard by the attack.
Jian Ba’s expression turned stormy. “You were too brutal!”
Zhou Yuan smiled faintly. “Do you guys not spill blood in Wanshou Heaven? What touching mercy and camaraderie.”
His words were filled with mockery.
The gazes of the other experts present flashed as they cast odds looks at Jiang Ba. Wanshou Heaven was the most bloody and savage among the heavens. After all, Genesis Beasts loved to fight. In a situation like this, let alone seeing some blood, even being killed was common.
Although Jiang Hongying had been hacked a few times by Zhou Yuan and sustained substantial injuries, the Mystic Dragon Clan’s bodies were strong and should recover after some time. Hence, Jiang Ba’s reason was honestly rather laughable.
It would perhaps be more truthful to say Jiang Ba felt that Zhou Yuan’s victory over Jiang Hongying had sullied the Mystic Dragon Clan’s dignity. Hence, he intended to swiftly subdue Zhou Yuan as punishment.
Jiang Ba likewise sensed the amused gazes looking at him, causing his face to twitch. He knew that he could no longer cleanly settle this matter. He could only maintain his silence as he forced down the anger in his heart.
He instructed, “Bring Hongying back.”
Several Mystic Dragon Clan experts flew towards the mountain range. They shivered when they saw the four sinister wounds on the dragon lying in a pool of its own blood, before hurriedly pouring their Genesis Qi into its body.
Genesis Qi light erupted as Jiang Hongying returned to human form.
However, her complexion was deathly pale and blood continuously dripped from her body.
The Mystic Dragon Clan experts supported her as they returned to Jiang Ba.
The corners of Jiang Ba’s eyes twitched a little at Jiang Hongying’s appearance, anger rising within them.
He worriedly asked, “How do you feel?”
Jiang Hongying gritted her teeth and shook her head. Her condition was very bad. The four sword lights had not only slashed her but sharp sword qi was still wreaking havoc in her body, causing her intense pain.
“Friends of the Mystic Dragon Clan, shouldn’t we discuss what’s next?” Zhou Yuan’s chuckle suddenly rang out.
Jiang Ba’s expression turned rigid. He of course knew what Zhou Yuan was referring to: the Ancestral Spirit Fruit wager.

However, were they really going to hand over the seven hardfought Ancestral Spirit Fruit? Or should they run?
Jiang Ba’s eyes flickered in thought.
“Forget it, acknowledge the wager.” Jiang Hongying gritted her teeth, her voice somewhat hoarse.
So many people had observed the wager. Even if they managed to escape, word would spread and it would undoubtedly make them a huge joke. It was just not worth it.
Jiang Hongying raised her pale face and looked towards Zhou Yuan. Although her expression was still quite icy, there was not much hatred to be seen.
“Dare to gamble, dare to lose. Take it!”
With a jerk of her hand, seven streaks of light shot forth.
Zhou Yuan’s Spirit power moved to catch the seven objects. His brows involuntarily raised when he saw the seven Ancestral Spirit Fruits within, clearly surprised that the other party’s straightforward response. He had already asked Tuntun to get ready to stop Jiang Ba and the others from running.
At the sight of his surprised expression, Jiang Hongying coldly said, “I, Jiang Hongying, am not a sore loser.”
Zhou Yuan nodded and said in a deep moved voice, “As expected of a hero among women, the great lady who gifts wealth.”
The first part was fine, but the latter part made Jiang Hongying’s expression turn steely-green with rage. She gnashed her teeth, fire practically spoutin from her eyes. However, she did not say anything in the end and only turned away so she didn’t have to look at Zhou Yuan.
Zhou Yuan was surprised again. From Jiang Hongying’s earlier attitude, she should have exploded like a firecracker. He had not expected her to control her emotions. There seemed to be no longer any trace of her earlier haughtiness.
He seemed to understand something...this woman had been beaten into submission by him?
As expected, only the hard approach worked on her.
He shook his head inwardly. His earlier courtesy had only made this woman want to stomp his face in, but after being beaten, she was now so cooperative...
After Jiang Hongying handed over the fruits, the Mystic Dragon Clan group were clearly quite dejected and did not want to stay here any longer. Hence, they immediately turned around and left.
The other factions sighed inwardly. No one had expected the usually domineering and aggressive Mystic Dragon Clan to suffer at Zhou Yuan’s hands.
Since the show was over, they also began to scatter.
The Divine Tiger Clan’s Meng Chong paused on Zhou Yuan. When Zhou Yuan looked over, Meng Chong cupped his fists together with a smile, displaying his friendliness.
Zhou Yuan returned the gesture by cupping his own fists together. The Divine Tiger Clan was also a great clan with as many powerful experts as the clouds in the sky. It was naturally better to make more friends. After all, this was Wanshou Heaven and he did not wish to have enemies everywhere.
After displaying his good will, Meng Chong did not rush forward to deepen their relationship but instead left with his men.
Tuntun’s body rapidly shrank, landing on Zhou Yuan’s head and giving him a light pat.
Zhou Yuan understood its intention and quickly retrieved the seven Ancestral Spirit Fruits. After adding in the remaining three they had, he now had a total of ten.
Zhou Yuan looked towards Jin Zhong and the others and cautioned, “You guys should go ahead and leave first.”
Jin Zhong and the others nodded. Although they did not know what Zhou Yuan and Tuntun were going to do, they could guess that it was something special. They felt rather envious, but also understood they did not have the fortune to partake.
Ten Ancestral Spirit Fruits hovered in front of Tuntun. It swung its paw, shattering all the fruits into strange, mysterious light.
Tuntun’s paw reached into the light, seemingly mixing in something special.
In the next instant, the lights surged forth, enveloping Zhou Yuan and Tuntun like a membrane.
Zhou Yuan understood what he had to do. He moved with the membrane, turning into a blur that soon crashed into the Ancestral Spirit Tree’s giant trunk.
Plop!
There was no impact. The trunk rippled as man and beast strangely disappeared into it.
In the outside word, the yet to scatter experts could not help but gasp at this scene.
Some experts seemed to understand something as envy flooded their eyes. They knew from ancient texts about the Alpha sacred beasts’ bloodlines numerous wonders. Evidently, Tuntun had opened some kind of special area.
They could only sigh in envy. Zhou Yuan was really lucky!
After sighing, the rest of the crowd finally scattered. The Dragon Spirit Utopia had just opened and since there was nothing for them here, they could only go somewhere else to try their luck.

Discord Community: https://discord.gg/3tHKHAx7Ye The Vitaean Chronicles are a debut LitRPG High Fantasy series written with the intent of filling a niche I've yet to see filled anywhere else. This is my first novel of this kind, so please be patient with me. Throughout this story, I will endeavour to create an evolving and expansive narrative anchored around believable characters, compelling plotlines, and a consistent and sensible magic system. The purpose of this work is to create what I believe to be a relatively unique piece of fiction, drawing inspiration from many great stories that have come before from the likes of Tolkien, Jordan, Hertbert, Goodkind, Pratchett, Martin, and several others. My goal is not to create a masterpiece, but simply to create a story that someone can read and re-read with the same joy, same frustration, and same investment each time. This story will contain violence, politics, Shakespearian drama, tongue-in-cheek references, adult content, and well-crafted relationships of both platonic and romantic natures. I will not promise you will like every choice I make. I can only guarantee that I will do my best to create a story I, and you, can be proud of. As I progress, I will have room to incorporate fan-made characters for those interested in making their mark within the tapestry of this tale (with the customary disclaimer that they do so while waiving any rights to future profit, lol). Thank you to Royal Road for giving me the platform to do that, and thank you dear readers past, present, and future for choosing to come on this journey with me. Finally, just to cover myself: This work is Copyrighted to the Author herein known as 'Hannibal Forge', and recreation, distribution, or re-release of any material herein in a commercial or public capacity absent permission from the Author can and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law.
