《Dragon Prince Yuan》Chapter 1401 Endless Sacred Blood Reservoir

The Cangxuan Alliance’s attacks grew increasingly fierce and happened at a much quicker rate, destroying the territories that belonged to the Sacred Palace one after another. Around half a month later, the Cangxuan Alliance Army stopped three hundred miles away from the Sacred Palace headquarters with overwhelming momentum.
The army surrounded the entire Sacred Palace tightly in rows, and multiple Genesis Rune Boundaries emerged from the ground, shining rays of Genesis Qi in all directions. That side of the world was completely covered up to the extent that not even a fly could escape.
On a ten-thousand-feet mountain summit.
Zhou Yuan, the four sect masters, Chi Jing and other top experts from the Cangxuan Alliance stood atop the summit. They were all surveying a distant place, where it was white as snow between the mountains. On that snow-capped mountain stood several grand and magnificent buildings.
That was the Sacred Palace’s headquarters.
Experts were standing guard on several Sacred Palace towers and vigilantly scanning the surroundings.
Zhou Yuan and the others could detect countless overbearing waves of Genesis Qi within the Sacred Palace headquarters, which was protected by a powerful defense boundary.
All powers of the Sacred Palace were gathered there.
Everyone knew that more than 90% of experts in Cangxuan Heaven had gathered in that area, and all living beings in Cangxuan Heaven were perhaps paying close attention to that area.
The final result in that area would determine Cangxuan Heaven’s fate.
“What do you plan to do next? Are we going to launch an attack?”
Standing atop the mountain, sect master Qing Yang wore a serious and solemn expression because even someone like him, who was used to seeing strong winds and high waves, felt a little nervous.
After all, even the world would no doubt pale when the great battle breaks out.
“What is Sheng Yuan planning? Is he just sitting there waiting for us to form an encirclement?” asked venerable lord Gu Jing in a low voice. The Cangxuan Alliance had been advancing forward but the Sacred Palace hadn’t countered back with any large-scale attack. Even now, the Sacred Palace Army was still only watching them construct one Genesis Rune Boundary after another and did nothing to obstruct. It was understandable why such abnormal behavior made many people feel uneasy.

No one would be that stupid to think the Sacred Palace had no strength to counterattack. After all, Sheng Yuan still hadn’t made a move and hadn’t appeared yet.
Wu Yao suddenly said, “I don't know why but there’s a very uncomfortable feeling.”
Su Youwei, Zhao Mushen and Chi Jing nodded. They felt the same way; however, they didn’t notice any strangeness along the way.
Zhou Yuan pondered, staring fixedly at the snow-capped mountain as the Decoder Saint Rune roamed out from his eyes.
The scenery before him rapidly changed and his pupils shrank because he saw blood-red currents constantly rising into the air from the Sacred Palace and entered a void of nothingness.
Those blood-red currents gave him a chilling feeling.
“Huh?” A surprised voice sounded from the Sacred Palace’s depths.
“The strongest below the Saint stage is nowhere near as good as everyone says.” As a chuckle rang out, the space above the Sacred Palace rippled and a white-haired figure emerged.
That person’s appearance sparked a commotion within the Cangxuan Alliance Army and everyone’s eyes were filled with terror.
Even people like sect master Qing Yang couldn’t stop his expression from changing and stared at the figure with extreme fear.
Without doing anything, palace master Sheng Yuan’s appearance had already made many Cangxuan Alliance experts pale and their eyes filled with terror.
After all, no one present could deny that palace master Sheng Yuan was undoubtedly the strongest in Cangxuan Heaven.
Palace master Sheng Yuan paid no attention to the many terrified gazes. His ruminative gaze didn’t move away from Zhou Yuan.
Zhou Yuan’s eyes, fierce and cold, were similarly fixed on palace master Sheng Yuan.
When their gazes met, there seemed to be an indescribable oppressive feeling pervading the air, and even the Law Domain experts on both sides slightly paled when they felt the invisible pressure.
“Sheng Yuan, what are you planning?” Sect master Qing Yang said aloud.
Palace master Sheng Yuan swept a glance over sect master Qing Yang, saying, “Qing Yang, there is indeed a huge gap between you and your master Cang Xuan. I thought you would be my final opponent. But in the end, even a kid has surpassed all four great sect masters and everything is under his command.”

Heaven Sword Sovereign raised his brows and said in an old voice, “Sheng Yuan, such ridiculous remarks are useless. Although we might stubbornly stick to old rules and ideas, we still understand the principle that the capable will rise to the top.”
“Could it be that you’re afraid so you are trying to create arguments between us,” sneered palace master Shan Qingzi.
Sheng Yuan smiled. “Have you guys got too carried away because you swept away everyone before you on your way here?”
He wore a smile on his face but the expression in his eyes was cold with a glint of mockery. “You managed to make it here not because you’re strong but because I let you.”
Sheng Yuan turned to look at Zhou Yuan and said indifferently, “Speaking of which, I should thank you for bringing so many sacrifices here. You saved me a lot of trouble.”
His words caused a commotion within the Cangxuan Alliance Army and a look of unease came to many people’s faces.
Not only them, even sect master Qing Yang and the others felt their heart sank.
Hovering in the air, palace master Sheng Yuan peered into somewhere in the Sacred Palace’s depths and smiled. “It’s almost ready. Qing Yang, do you really think that we have been recuperating from our injuries in the Sacred Palace all this time? No, I have healed long again and I only did all that for today.
“I have been waiting for this feast for a long time.”
He slowly lifted his hands, folding his fingertips and palms together in a seal.
Boom!
A low growl rang out from the Sacred Palace’s depths and a blood-red torrent roared out, shocking everyone. Within seconds, it transformed into ten-thousand-feet waves and gushed in all directions.
Everything was obliterated where the blood-red torrent passed, including universe Genesis Qi!
Having to bear the brunt, the Sacred Palace people in the mountains instantly vanished while the blood-red torrent expanded like an evil demon.
It consumed all living beings and all objects as it passed.
Terrified, someone in the Cangxuan Alliance Army erupted with a mighty attack, attempting to break the sticky sea of blood.
But that attack didn’t create a slightest ripple. Instead, the sea of blood swallowed the Genesis Qi contained in it and grew even larger.
That sea of blood stretched across a radius of hundreds of miles in just ten breaths!
A foul smell filled the air!
The pupils of sect master Qing Yang and the others rapidly shrank because they could distinctly feel that the sea of blood resembled a living object and was indescribably bizarre and terrifying.
Even if they only felt that bizarreness, they were unknowingly drenched in cold sweats.
Palace master Sheng Yuan looked at the sea of blood that was rapidly expanding with blazing eyes. His white hair fluttered in the air and the smile on his face appeared distorted.
“Everyone, let me introduce to you…
“The thing in front of you is called the Endless Sacred Blood Reservoir and it can dissolve any existence that it touches, including Genesis Qi, mountains, rivers and seas. It will consume them and turn them into its own power.
“It will eventually feed the powers it absorbed back to me. At that time…I can truly ascend to the Saint stage. But don’t worry, it won’t last forever. I estimate that it will reach its limit once it swallowed one-tenth of Cangxuan Heaven.”
Palace master Sheng Yuan grinned when he saw the eyes of sect master Qing Yang and the others almost cracking.
“It’s a very good deal to be able to use one-tenth of an area to exchange for the birth of a Saint, isn’t that right?”

Valor and Violence
Valor and Violence is a series of short stories following different, yet all equally colourful, characters set in the same world. Birth of a Legend, the first short, follows Captain Erskine Erwell, a newly promoted Captain in the Calandorian Royal Navy, charged with protecting his people from all who would do them harm. Great news for the Calandorian citizens, bad news for the Skjar reavers that ravage the shores in search of slaves. But when a small reaver fleet slips the net and escapes to the southern jungles of Marduk, Erwell must fight a war on two fronts; one against the raiders, and a far more difficult war against the hostile landscape. If he can't find allies in this strange land, he may end up being the one in need of saving. The first part of the second short story will be uploaded on Saturday, the 11th of June, following Ferez Ahud, an aspiring young battlemage charged with the unsavoury job of 'terminating' a rogue member of his college. But how this nobody of a mage became a fugitive remains a mystery, and when the answer is discovered, the tables are turned and the hunter becomes the prey. I'll be uploading chapters of more in-universe short stories each week or as close to, work permitting. Content Guidelines: course language and violence

Changement : Version Pile [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got tails.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
