《Dragon Prince Yuan》Chapter 1477 Cangxuan Heaven 's Crisis

The Sacred Race had to adjust its attack strategy on Cangxuan Heaven due to Cang Yuan’s sudden appearance. Therefore, as Cang Yuan predicted, the battle situation in Cangxuan Heaven was strangely calm for the next half a year.
But that unusual calmness instead made Cang Yuan, Zhou Yuan and other Saints be on constant guard for all possible dangers because it indicated the Sacred Race’s mobilization of forces was so huge that it led to them being quiet and still for half a year.
Once the Sacred Race completed its mobilization of forces, Cangxuan Heaven would inevitably be faced with a storm-like attack that made them gasp for breath.
However, even if Zhou Yuan and the others knew that the Sacred Race was mobilizing their troops, they couldn’t do anything because they knew their enemies were much stronger and therefore they had to be in a passive defense stance.
The only thing they could do was set up Genesis Rune Boundaries and make the last line of defense as secure as a city protected by a wall of metal.
Cang Yuan also asked the Omega Shrine for more support, and the Omega Shrine also understood that they mustn’t lose the Cangxuan Heaven and so they sent out an army of troops that they could deploy to provide support.
In that support army were three familiar people.
They were Wu Yao, Zhao Mushen and Su Youwei, who were said to have entered the Omega Mountain.
The three had successfully made it through the mountain, completed their breakthrough during life and death situations and reached the Saint stage.
The three’s breakthrough didn’t surprise Zhou Yuan because their talent and potential weren’t inferior to Chu Qing or Li Chunjun, and perhaps were even greater.
After all, if Zhou Yuan hadn’t mended Chu Qing’s and Li Chunjun’s flaws with the Blessings Tower, it would have been incredibly difficult for them to reach the Saint stage. On the other hand, Su Youwei and the other two, who spent the majority of their time in Hunyuan Heaven and had obtained more training resources, didn’t have such worry and trouble.
However, about half a year after the last support army from the Omega Shrine arrived, the frontier defenders reported that the Sacred Race army was rushing over like a tide.

A fierce and cruel war would no doubt break out again.
Blood and fire would be ignited at the same time.
...
Prime saint Zhang Lei was still the leader of the great Sacred Race Army, but their offensives were much fiercer and ruthless than before.
The Sacred Race’s elite troops flooded the last line of defense outside Cangxuan Heaven like the tide. The super boundary that was built under Zhou Yuan’s supervision in the past half a year suddenly had to take on a tremendous impact.
Taking the super boundary’s geographical advantage into account, the Cangxuan Heaven defenders delivered a frontal assault on the Sacred Race army right away.
However, the Sacred Race quickly stabilized themselves and began to push forward. As a result, the several super boundaries became meat grinders.
Every inch of land was stained with blood.
Both sides’ elites fought with all their might, and the foul smell of blood saturated the air.
Due to the super boundaries’ geographical advantages, the Cangxuan Heaven defenders had the upper hand in combat. At the very least, they could advance and retreat freely. Therefore, in terms of casualties, the number on the Sacred Race’s side was much higher.
But the Sacred Race didn’t seem to care. They were overall stronger and so they could easily accept the huge difference in the number of casualties.
The Cangxuan Heaven troops would still be exhausted first!
This was an advantage of the Sacred Race. They didn't need to do any planning or strategy, they just needed to gather their strength and continue to push through with absolute strength.
Only the all-heaven needed to rack their brains to think about how to reduce the damage in battle.
Indeed, just as the Sacred Race predicted, Zhou Yuan, who had temporarily became commander in chief due to Cang Yuan being occupied with dealing with prime saint Zhang Lei, was under tremendous pressure as the Sacred Race constantly advanced closer.
Although it was incredibly difficult for the Sacred Race to push through, the damage to the Cangxuan Heaven defenders was still huge. Even Saints showed signs of collapsing, let alone Law Domain experts.
Although the death of a Saint from the all-heaven would be accompanied by similar damage on the Sacred Race’s side, reinforcements constantly joined the Sacred Race’s side. However, no other reinforcements could come to support Cangxuan Heaven anymore.

This was because not only Cangxuan Heaven was being attacked. The other four heavens were also caught in the flames of war.
Zhou Yuan understood that this was the Sacred Race’s battle strategy — They intended to exchange lives for lives until the all-heaven completely collapsed.
This was a completely transparent strategy.
No plan can stop them. It was a strategy that makes anyone powerless and despair.
Even Zhou Yuan could only suppress his urge to count the casualties on his side and bravely fought on the front line.
Under that cruel situation, the war continued for a year.
Zhou Yuan didn’t block the news about the battle situation from spreading in the past year. Instead, he often reported it back to Cangxuan Heaven so that everyone on the front line was aware of the situation.
Therefore, everyone in Cangxuan Heaven understood the poor conditions on the front line and knew that the Law Domain experts and Saints of all-heaven were fighting bloody battles to stop the Sacred Race from invading Cangxuan Heaven.
However, the Sacred Race’s footsteps were very steady and heavy.
They tread on the blood-soaked land and drew closer and closer to Cangxuan Heaven.
Countless people were unable to participate in that battle and so they could only pray day and night to dispel their fears.
Under such earthshaking changes, Law Domain experts constantly emerged in the Blessings Tower. Once they made a breakthrough, they charged straight to the forefront of the war.
How would they not know that Law Domain experts were only considered as cannon fodder in a war of that level? However, they knew they had no place to retreat regardless of how vast Cangxuan Heaven was.
They had enjoyed what Cangxuan Heaven provided in the Blessings Tower and now they needed to pay the price.
And they were willing to do so.
This was because their sect, clan and family were in Cangxuan Heaven.
They didn’t want the Sacred Race to invade and treat their clan and family like pigs, enslaving and slaughtering them as they wished.
However, even though the entire Cangxuan Heaven had united to block the Sacred Race from invading, it had little effect on the overall situation.
A year later, as waves upon waves of Sacred Race elite troops continued to advance, the Sacred Race eventually broke through the super boundary, which the Cangxuan Heaven defenders relied on.
From that moment, the Cangxuan Heaven troops had lost their geographical advantage.
...
On the line of defense.
Dripping with blood, Zhou Yuan peered at the collapsed super boundary and the Sacred Race army rushed out like the tide. He rubbed his face in exhaustion and turned around to look at the many people behind him.
At the front of them were some familiar faces, including supreme sovereign Wan Zu, supreme sovereign Zi Xiao, Su Youwei, Wu Yao, Zhao Mushen, Li Chunjun, and Chu Qing.
They fortunately were still standing after more than a year of bloody battles. However, they were riddled with wounds and even their Saint bodies couldn't repair those injuries easily.
Sweeping a glance over everyone, Zhou Yuan smiled and then he drew a deep breath.
His roar echoed like thunder. “May the all-heaven live in peace.”
“May everyone return safely.”
“May we wipe out the Sacred Race!”
Before Zhou Yuan’s roar died away, he had already transformed into a stream of light and charged towards the Sacred Race army.
“Wipe out the Sacred Race!”
Countless voices boomed out from behind him. Torrents rushed forth and the last line of defense crumbled apart.
The stench of blood filled the sky.
…
Blood stained the last line of defense.
The Great Zhou Empire’s palace.
In the palace’s depths protected by a boundary.
Red lanterns were still hung around the hall, but the celebratory and joyous atmosphere was long gone. Instead, the place felt bleak and desolate.
In a hall that had been tightly closed for years.
In the flower garden in front of the hall, all flowers were cold, dim and completely withered.
The door, adorned with the red symbol of happiness and had been closed for years, suddenly shook a little and dust swept up and danced in the sunlight.
Creak.
As dust swirled in the air, the door slowly creaked open.
The huge happiness symbol on the door that had dimmed for years was suddenly erased by an invisible force and silently vanished, as if it never existed in the world.
A graceful and beautiful figure strode out the room.
