Within the pure land, multicolored light danced about in the air, and the spiritual lake shone with a brilliance like that of jade. However, currently, a great battle was destroying the peace here, because a group of heaven warping geniuses were causing havoc within the divine monkey’s nest.

A divine monkey howled. It leapt into the air, latching itself onto the body of a bright horned dragon. Opening its ferocious mouth, it revealed a mouthful of snow white fierce teeth before grabbing the dragon’s tail and immediately biting down.
“Get lost!”
The Horned Dragon snarled and used all of its might to shake its body. As a pure-blooded creature, his body was incomparably powerful. With the support of symbols on top of its natural strength, it could easily make a mountain collapse.

The divine monkey’s fierce teeth were broken, making it cry out miserably. However, even though it suffered this injury, it was still incomparably savage. Its claws were extremely sharp, and with a flicker of cold light and dense mysterious symbols circling about, they landed on the Horned Dragon’s tail.
The Horned Dragon released a muffled grunt. Its tail was bleeding, but this wasn’t because it was weak. Two days ago, it was attacked by the divine monkey king. After the monkey threw out its battle spear, the spear pinned the dragon by its tail onto the ground. Even though the Horned Dragon already used precious medicine to reattach the broken tail, because it had already broken off before, it was still not as strong as before.
The divine monkey was sinister. Using its sharp claws, it tore off a chunk of the dragon’s flesh before bringing it to its mouth. Divine blood splashed out, arousing the vicious natures of the surrounding golden monkeys....

Daiko was not your average salaryman he Hated humanity. Now, you're probably asking why he hates humanity well It's quite simple really. He was abused by his parents and all of his so-called friends just used him and the only ones that card were his pets so he loved them with his entire heart until his dad shot them anyway. So as far as the world was concerned everything that humans touched was destroyed and he wanted nothing to do with them. Andorra was another chance, another life that wasn't absolute shit. Well, as it turns out that heteromorphic characters aren't looked at positively and well he didn't want to play as a human so he persevered until he rose through the ranks and reached the upper echelons of the game. Now I know you're wondering what was his character well his character was a...well I guess to find out the rest you'll just have to read the story, won't you?

In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
