《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 748 - Not Reassuring

The sales assistants in the shop started to get busy and started introducing the jades in Mandarin with a heavy local accent.
A couple that came from Xiangbei Province stood before the counter and the sales assistant had spent a lot of effort before she finally managed to convince them to devote ¥20,000 for a piece of jade. However, the sales assistant knew the spending power of this couple well. Although they were a dual-income family, their only daughter was already married, so they had some leisure money. For a family like them, they would usually have a spending power of roughly ¥40,000.
Pointing at a pair of jade bowls, the sales assistant started to work her magic, “This pair of yellow dragon jade bowls are now available at a discounted price in the shop. Several jade appraisers have already authenticated it, and it was awarded a gold medal. The appraiser is a national treasure of our Yundian Province, Master Ye Qin. He’s currently eighty-nine years old, and he seldom does any appraisal nowadays. Ten years down the road, this pair of jade bowls can even be considered as a family treasure.”
“Since it’s so expensive, then why are you guys selling it so cheaply?” The husband was baffled.
“It’s mainly due to the terrible economy right now. We’ve just experienced an epidemic crisis, and our boss was affected by it. Hence, he requires some cash flow to circulate, and this is the reason why he took out this prized collection.” The sales assistant purposely lowered her voice.
Hence, the couple started to discuss amongst each other. They could only afford ¥40,000, and they’ve already spent ¥20,000 in the shop. So spending another ¥40,000 would definitely exceed their budget, but they also wanted to buy some collections to be kept at home.
“I suggest that you guys shouldn’t buy it.” Su Tao suggested, he couldn’t watch anymore.
Listening to those words, the face of the sales assistant changed. If she managed to get this deal done, she would be able to reach her KPI for the next two months.
“Why?” The wife curiously asked.
“Yellow dragon jades are also graded, and a superior piece is more transparent with a mild gloss. Yellow dragon jades emphasise on yellow, and it’s beauty relies on the density of its colors. This pair of bowls is clearly an inferior product, and the sculpture work is terrible. It’s definitely not done by a master. If you guys make a purchase, you guys will definitely suffer a great loss.” Su Tao reminded the couple from the side.
“You!” The sales assistant was furious as she glared at Su Tao. “Mister, you can’t simply make things up. All the products in our shop are meticulously crafted, and we don’t have a single inferior product. If you’re not interested in it, then please don’t make things up to affect others.”
After placing one of the jade bowls in his hand and observing it, Su Tao bitterly smiled, shaking his head. “I might not be a professional when it comes to appraisal, but I can still determine the grade of yellow dragon jades. This yellow dragon jade has undergone hot dying, and the colors aren't pure; it has been optimised. If you place this on the market, I’m afraid that it’ll only cost roughly ¥1,000, yet you’re selling it for ¥40,000? Aren’t you a little too black-hearted?”

When the couple heard Su Tao’s words, they started to hesitate. As for the sales assistant, she could only glare at Su Tao before she said out in a low voice, “You’re looking for trouble!”
“True gold fears no fire. If you guys aren’t cheating others, it’d be impossible for me to cause trouble!” Su Tao sighed, shaking his head.
Stomping her foot, the sales assistant went to the reception corner, complaining to the tour guide. Listening to those words, the face of the tour guide changed since she never expected that someone would actually dare to create trouble after her previous warning.
It was mainly due to that ¥20,000 deal, or the sales assistant also wouldn’t be so furious.
The tour guide locked her brows together. Su Tao had spent quite a bit over the last few days, so she had some favorable impression of him. Although she found him familiar, she couldn’t recall where she had seen him.
However, she never expected that Su Tao would do something like this, infuriating her.
Thus, she immediately gave a call and the two men from before came over and looked around. “Who’s looking for trouble here?”
Pointing at Su Tao, the tour guide said, “That young man over there. Get him out so that he won’t affect the rest from buying.”
Seeing that the ruffians came into the store, the rest of the tourists had a change in their expressions since the experience back on the mountain was still fresh in their minds.
“Come with us!” The bald man pointed at Su Tao as he locked his brows together. Although Su Tao did not have a robust figure, he was tall.
“Let’s go!” Su Tao shrugged and casually placed the yellow dragon jade bowl on the counter then turned to Yan Sha. “I’ll be back shortly!”
Yan Sha naturally knew how capable Su Tao was and chuckled, “Don’t hold back!”
“I’m a cultured person, so how will I be so crude?” Su Tao bitterly smiled.
“Bullies like them should be taught a lesson.” Yan Sha replied in disdain.
After leaving the store with the bald man, they forced Su Tao into a remote corner.
Grabbing onto Su Tao’s collar, the bald man pointed his finger at Su Tao’s nose and furiously asked, “Brat, aren’t you cocky? Do you know where you are right now?”
“Of course! I’m in China!” Su Tao answered as he pretended to be afraid.
“Screw you; this is my territory. My words are the law here. Since you actually dare to ruin my pleasure, do you believe that I can’t make you die here?” The bald man’s saliva flew from his mouth.
Wiping his face with his hand, Su Tao felt a little disgusted as he trembled. “I-I’m sorry, boss. I won’t dare to utter a word anymore.”
The bald man initially expected that Su Tao would be difficult, but he never expected that Su Tao was such a coward, so he took two steps back and instructed, “At least he’s still well-behaved. Give him a few trashings and call it an end.”

“A few trashings? This fellow ruined a ¥40,000 business, and those two customers even requested a refund.” A goon unhappily said from the side.
“What else do you want? You want to heavily injure him?” The bald man smacked the goon on the forehead since this fellow was too stupid.
Twisting his neck, the goon looked at Su Tao. “Stinking brat, consider yourself lucky today. If you came here a few years ago, I’d definitely skin you alive!”
After that, he threw a punch out. In the end, he only managed to stretch his arm halfway before he felt an intense pain coming from his abdomen and was sent flying from the ground before he fell onto the ground three meters away.
Before the bald man could react, he suffered a blow to his chin and was struck to the ground. The other goons who were chatting nearby instantly ran over upon seeing this scene. However, they were all struck down with Su Tao taking each of them down with a single punch.
The bald man had already fainted and was lifted by his collar then dragged to the jade shop. When Su Tao threw a kick at the door, the door was burst open before the bald man was thrown beside the tour guide.
Looking at this scene, the tour guide’s face changed since she never expected that the situation would develop in this manner. Weren’t they supposed to teach Su Tao a lesson? But they were all dropped to the ground instead?
“Quick, call the cops!” The tour guide gave a signal to the sales assistant.
“Right, the cops!” The sales assistant immediately gave a call to the cops. Since this place was Jade City, it’s an essential location so the cops swiftly arrived. When they saw the bald man lying on the ground, they knitted their brows. Wasn’t that bald man a famous local ruffian, Old Rabbit? Why was he in this state?
“I’m sorry, but you have to make a trip with us!” A police officer said.
“Let me make a call first!” Su Tao replied.
“Sure! It’s your freedom.” The police officer locked his brows together. He was unhappy with Su Tao’s attitude. Old Rabbit might be a ruffian, but he’s still a local. So generally, they would side with the locals instead.
After a brief pondering, Su Tao gave a call to Rui Lei since it was more appropriate. Rui Lei might not be in the tourism or public security department, but he definitely had some connections.
Rui Lei was currently on leave. When he saw that Su Tao was giving him a call, he immediately picked it up and smiled. “Hello, President Su!”
“Mr. Rui, I’m sorry, but there’s something I would like to trouble you with. I encountered some trouble in a jade store, and I need your attention over here.” Su Tao smiled.
“Jade store?” Rui Lei immediately focused as he inquired, “What’s the matter?”
“I’m currently touring in Yundian Province with some friends, and I signed up for a tour group. They wanted us to buy some specialties, but there was an issue with one of their products, so I warned one of the tourists that came together with me. In the end, I became a target of hatred. So it turns out that what’s reported on the news is true. You really have to be careful when touring in Yundian Province.” Su Tao honestly explained.
Rui Lei knew that Su Tao was currently touring in Yundian Province. When he heard those words, he immediately felt embarrassed as he replied, “Please wait briefly. I’ll get someone to resolve it for you immediately.”
After ending his call with Su Tao, Rui Lei immediately gave a call to his superior, Han Yi, and swiftly explained the situation, “Something happened to Su Tao. He’s currently touring in our province, and he encountered a problem. He’s currently being detained by the police.”
When Han Yi received the news, he was instantly dumbfounded. Su Tao was someone who had just been interviewed, and he also found out that Su Tao was the personal healthcare specialist of many huge figures. If this matter gets in the ears of those people, wouldn’t that spell a great problem?
“Calm down, I will immediately use all my resources and get them to investigate the matter. Immediately give a call back to Su Tao and tell him not to engage in any more disputes with the locals.” Han Yi immediately instructed.
Rui Lei naturally knew what Han Yi was worried about. If the dispute grows, Su Tao would definitely suffer more. In the end, it would be more troublesome to resolve this matter.
Rui Lei bitterly smiled since Su Tao was indeed not reassuring. In their first meeting, he gave both him and Han Yi a great fright, and that’s the same today. He knew that this matter would probably cause some local departments to sweat.
“President Su, I have already sorted this matter out, and it will be fine in a while. Furthermore, I would like to apologise for your encounter.” Rui Lei bitterly smiled.
“Thank you, Mr. Rui!” Su Tao casually smiled and went on, “I’m already at the police station, and the other party looks ferocious. A few officers are interrogating me right now.”
“Did they touch you? How about this, pass the phone to them and let me talk with them.” Rui Lei immediately became anxious.
