《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 830 - A Physician with the Surname Wang

As cicadas cried out on the tree by the doors, it was already autumn, and time passed quickly.
Sitting beneath the tree, Su Tao held onto a purple teapot as he was absent-minded. He had just gotten the news of Wang Guofeng’s death a moment ago.
Chu Huilin was mentioning how several large pharmacies closed down beside Su Tao, but Su Tao couldn’t get any of that in his head.
Wang Guofeng already knew that he was at the end of his road, and he left a death note. Aside from his family, he also mentioned Su Tao. Hence, everyone in the Wang Family were filled with hatred for Su Tao as all of them felt that Su Tao was the one who forced Wang Guofeng to his death.
In Wang Guofeng’s death note, he mentioned that if it wasn’t for Su Tao, he would’ve definitely become the pride of TCM, becoming an outstanding physician within the country. And it was Su Tao who slowly took it away from him.
Su Tao’s heart rippled as Wang Guofeng had taken up the role of a whetstone in his journey so far, and truth be told, Su Tao had to thank Wang Guofeng for making things difficult for him. After all, Wang Guofeng had forced the potential out of Su Tao.
How should he evaluate Wang Guofeng? An opponent that wasn’t exactly one?
Then again, Su Tao was disappointed in Wang Guofeng. If Wang Guofeng had the courage to persevere in his TCM path and not fall from grace, Su Tao might be able to become friends with Wang Guofeng.
“I’m going back to Hanzhou City tomorrow.” Su Tao placed the teapot on the desk as he stood up and waved his hand, “Old Chu, you have to keep working hard. It’s our opportunity now that the Medicine Deity Corporation has crumbled. We will aim to set up two more branches in He City, and they will all be under your charge.”
Chu Huilin was still stunned when Su Tao had already left.
The young talent in TCM was overflowing with talent, but he took a wrong step in his path and that changed his entire destiny. In the end, a physician with the surname Wang had disappeared from the world.
Looking at Su Tao, Chu Huilin sighed. Why did he feel that Su Tao wasn’t in a good mood?
When Su Tao returned to the Hanzhou City, he started becoming busy in his work.
The development of the Three Flavour Hall was an unstoppable iron chariot, and no one could stop it. The Three Flavour International’s plan of being listed had also gone up on schedule. As the Chairman, Su Tao naturally had to be present for this ceremony.
Two months from now, Su Tao even had to participate in a promotional tour. Although there was a professional team guiding them, it was still a challenge for Su Tao.
As for the Three Flavour Medicine, the production line was immediately put into use after the factory was finished, which Jia Xing had sent the materials all to the factory right on time, and Su Tao had arranged people to check the supplies before moving them into the storage.

And as the machine operated, the first batch of medicine was successfully produced, completing the first order from the eastern warzone.
“Hello, Physician Su!” A female employee came up and greeted Su Tao.
Seeing how young and beautiful she was, Su Tao joked with Yu Omuri, “I never expect that you would have such a high quality employee around you.
“It’s all arranged according to your standards. Although packing work doesn’t require much qualification, I still hired personnel in professional training college.” Yu Omuri smiled.
Nodding his head, Su Tao replied, “Although it might not require much still, we still need to have a strict requirement on hygiene and the manufacturing procedures. So if we’re careless in hiring employees, it might cause hidden problems.”
Su Tao wasn’t concerned with qualifications, but he knew that it was a measurement to differentiate out the employees.
Yu Omuri’s office was simple with blueprints placed messily on the table. With an awkward smile as he sorted out the things on the table, Yu Omuri went over to the bookcase and took out a document, “This is the data for applying European certificates.”
The reason why Su Tao put Yu Omuri responsible for the Three Flavour Hall’s technical work was mainly due to the fact that he was familiar with the European standards.
It wouldn’t be a problem for the Three Flavour Hall to develop in China’s market with two to three years, but Su Tao had his own ambitions. He wanted his products to go international and form a competition with Japan and South Korea.
He wanted to set things right, and make a stance for China’s Chinese medicine.
Since they did not have to worry about money, they did not have any concern to apply for European standards, so they’re taking a huge step.
Yu Omuri might seem sloppy in his personal life, but he wasn’t sloppy at all when it comes to work, and there were over thirty products to be sent for audit.
After going through some details with Yu Omuri, Su Tao also gave some of his suggestions for some products.
When Yu Omuri heard Su Tao’s suggestions, he was shocked by Su Tao’s understanding in prescriptions, and Su Tao could easily give out a replacement for herbs that were banned by Europe, resolving Yu Omuri’s concern.
After Yu Omuri made the changes on the document, he declared with confidence, “Out products will definitely be more popular that those out in the market now.”
Nodding his head, Su Tao gave out his encouragement, “Then I’ll be handing the Three Flavour Medicine over to you.”
After he was done with his matters in Hanzhou City, Su Tao headed to Beijing to participate in the National Healer Conference.
Aside from that, Su Tao also had some matters to resolve, such as meeting with Wang Xuan and making plans on facing Qin Jingyu’s retaliation.
When Su Tao came out of the airport, he took his luggage and greeted a young woman, who was holding a name card. When the young woman saw Su Tao, she was briefly taken aback before she greeted, “Physician Su, I’m sent here to pick you up by Ms. Ni, and my name Su Mu.”

“Hmm? So we’re a distant relative with the same family name!” Su Tao laughed as he knew that Ni Jingqiu probably sent Su Mu over because they shared the same family name.
Su Mu might not be exceptionally gorgeous, but she was still within the average standards. She was about 5’2”, and she had a skinny frame, so she had a good image.
When they met, Su Mu offered to take Su Tao’s luggage, but it was rejected by Su Tao politely.
As the two of them chatted, they came to the carpark as Su Tao sat on the rear seat, while Su Mu drove Su Tao over to the district of Gu Rushan’s residence.
When he previously parted with Gu Rushan, she gave him a copy of her house keys, so Su Tao did not have to stay in the hotel.
After Su Mu entered and saw Gu Rushan’s sexy poster hanging on the wall, she was shocked.
“Gu Rushan is a friend of mine, and she lent me this house temporarily.” Su Tao explained with a smile.
“I’ll clean up for you immediately!” Su Mu replied.
Su Tao did not reject her offer as Gu Rushan rarely comes home, so the house was filled with dust despite looking tidy. In the end, Su Tao and Su Mu spent more than an hour cleaning up. When Su Tao saw that Su Mu was covered in sweat, he felt bad and went down to buy drinks before chatting with Su Mu on the balcony.
All of a sudden, Su Mu recalled something as she wore an embarrassed smile, “It’s already so late before I know it. Ms. Ni initially wanted me to send you to the restaurant after you put your luggage down.”
“It’s fine, she’s still busy!” Su Tao smiled as he glanced at his phone.
After a brief moment later when Ni Jingqiu sent a message over, Su Tao and Su Mu left as they headed for the restaurant.
After Su Mu completed her task by sending Su Tao to the restaurant, she left.
Ni Jingqiu had arrived earlier, and she was already making orders. After Su Tao sat down, he teased, “You’re pretty interesting. You don’t have the time to accompany me and send a replacement over. Aren’t you a little too considerate?”
Rolling her eyes at Su Tao, Ni Jingqiu replied, “What replacement? Su Mu has a good attitude when it comes to work, and I’m expecting great things out of her. In the future, she will be responsible for contacting you on anything related to the TCM Cultural Project. It looks like she performed pretty well seeing how satisfied you are with her.”
“I never expect that there’s a deeper meaning.” Su Tao smiled bitterly.
As the two of them chatted, the dishes were served and they were all exquisite Chinese dishes. Judging from the clothing of those in the surrounding, those who visited this place were all in the upper circle of Beijing, and all of them have a high social status.
This restaurant was using the model of a private clubhouse as they only serve members.
“I’m meeting Wang Xuan tomorrow, so do you have any suggestions?” Su Tao asked as he drank the chicken soup.
“Wang Xuan? I’m not personally familiar with him, but his evaluation in the circle isn’t high.” Ni Jingqiu shook his head.
“Why is that?” Su Tao was surprised as he met with Wang Xuan several times, and he had a good impression about the latter.
“It’s rude to be talking behind someone.” Ni Jingqiu shook her head as she continued, “With your keen eyes, I believe that you will be able to see his true character.”
“Consider the question unasked.” Su Tao smiled.
However, Ni Jingqiu’s words had also given Su Tao a reminder.
After all, anyone who could gain a footing in Beijing’s circle wouldn’t be a pushover. Although Wang Xuan had been friendly to him before, it was also possible that Wang Xuan was putting up an act. And if it was anything that concerned his interest, he might even turn his back against Su Tao.
As the nightscape enveloped Beijing, the city was filled with a brightly lit skyline.
Private pools were rare in Beijing, where land was expensive.
Topless, Wang Xuan laid on the chair beside the pool as he smoked a cigar, seeming extremely relaxed. Not long later, a tall and skinny youth came out of the pool and sat beside him, “Su Tao has come to Beijing?”
“Yeah, we’re meeting tomorrow!” Wang Xuan blew out the smoke and continued, “Do you have any arrangements?”
“No arrangements. We’re all intelligent people, and since we have a common enemy, we naturally have to cooperate together.” The youth smiled.
“But from the data we gathered, he’s not someone that can be easily controlled.” Wang Xuan sounded his concern.
Shaking his head, the youth warned, “Don’t ever try to control someone like Su Tao. If you try to control him, you will only increase the distance between the two of you. You just have to keep showing him goodwill and close up your relationship. At that time, you will naturally become his friend, and he’s someone who treats friendship with great importance.”
At this moment, two women came out from the pool, and one of the women was Wang Xuan’s elder cousin, Wang Jiajia, and she’s now Huo Kun’s fiancee.
Right after Huo Kun and Ni Jingqiu’s wedding was canceled, Huo Kun made use of Wang Jiajia’s feelings for him to bring a change in his family.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above.
