Wang Jiajia sat beside the window, smoking in a luxury room. When Huo Kun saw that Wang Jiajia was smiling, he couldn’t help asking, “Jiajia, why did you bring me here so early in the morning?”

“To give you a surprise!” Wang Jiajia shook her legs, revealing her underwear.

Huo Kun shrugged and began to undress, “You want it so early in the morning? Alright, I’ll satisfy you then.”

Covering her mouth, Wang Jiajia chuckled, “That’s not it. I’m bringing you to meet a few people.”

“Who?” Huo Kun was baffled as he wore his clothes back.

Before wang Jiajia had the time to explain, the doorbell rang. She got up and opened the door to see Gu Yang and Ning Yi outside.

“That person is on the way over. I will send him the room number, and he will be here in about ten minutes.” Ning Yi smiled.

Huo Kun looked blank. He still had no idea what was going on.

Seeing the perplexion on Huo Kun’s face, Wang Jiajia laughed, “Alright. I’ll not hide it from you anymore. I spent ¥8,000,000 to buy Newlight Media’s trade secrets. If those documents go public, Newlight Media will be finished. Ni Jingqiu treated you the way before, ruining your career and reputation. So I am doing this to take revenge for you. Are you surprised?”

Huo Kun widened his eyes. He never expected that Wang Jiajia would go this far. With a wry smile, he replied, “I have already broken up with her. So why are you doing this?”

“What’s the matter? Did you feel bad? Do you still have her in your heart?” Wang Jiajia furiously questioned.

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Huo Kun replied, “What are you thinking? Ni Jingqiu isn’t as easy as you think. The incident in the squash court is a lesson. Why are you still not letting it go?”

“I, Wang Jiajia, am not someone to like losing. She took ¥3,000,000 from me previously, so I will make her spit it all out!” Wang Jiajia said with a grim expression.

Huo Kun started to feel a headache. He was also furious about Ni Jingqiu, but he knew that she wasn’t someone so easy to deal with.

The room fell into silence before Ning Yi’s ringtone finally broke it. He smiled bitterly at Wang Jiajia, “It’s a call from Old Zhong. He must’ve arrived. Should I still get him to come up?”

“Of course!” Wang Jiajia gnashed her teeth. “Huo Kun still has feelings for Ni Jingqiu, and I must cut it off completely!”

Ning Yi sighed inwardly. Women’s jealousy was terrifying. Gu Yang cheated to take revenge on her fiance, and Wang Jiajia even went as far as spending millions to take revenge against Ni Jingqiu. Ning Yi gave a call back to Old Zhong and told him the room number, which Old Zhong chuckled through the phone, “I’ll be there shortly!”

But just when Old Zhong was about to get out of the vehicle, his phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Qu Wanwan. Picking up the phone, he frowned, “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”

“Nothing. It has been smoothly resolved. Where are you right now? I’ll come to you.” Qu Wanwan lowered her voice.

“Why are you coming to find me?” Old Zhong pulled the keys and came out of the vehicle. He knitted his brows, “Let’s meet when we’re done.”

“If it’s not for me, will you be able to get the money? I have to be there!” Qu Wanwan replied in a firm tone.”

“What’s the matter? Do you think that I will lie?” Old Zhong responded in an unhappy tone.

“I have to be there, or I’ll call the cops!” Qu Wanwan threatened.

Old Zhong’s face paled upon hearing that. He never expected that Qu Wanwan would be so serious about it. If she really called the cops about it, things would blow out of proportion. Unhappily, he replied, “I’ll be waiting for you at the underground parking lot in Golden Shield Hotel for fifteen minutes. If you’re not here by then, then I won’t wait for you anymore.”

Hanging up the phone, Old Zhong returned to his vehicle with his face paled. He began to ponder if Qu Wanwan had taken it a little too far. After this matter, even if she didn’t quit, she had to be kicked out of the team.

Just when Old Zhong wanted to leave fifteen minutes later, a vehicle drove into the parking lot. Qu Wanwan came down from the backseat with a pair of sunglasses. Knitting his brows, Old Zhong asked, “Why are you wearing sunglasses all of a sudden?”

“You’re not afraid of being captured in surveillance cameras, but I am!” Qu Wanwan propped her sunglasses up.

Old Zhong smiled. He had done these things many times, so he became gutsy. When he suddenly recalled that he was doing something illegal, he immediately took his sunglasses from the car and put them on.

Qu Wanwan sighed inwardly when she saw his reaction. She was only wearing it to cover her face. Su Tao applied ointment on her face earlier, which made the swelling disappear. After she put her makeup on, it was almost invisible. But if she wasn’t careful enough, it could still be seen around her eyes because more capillary pores were around the eyes. So it was more difficult to recover upon being injured.

Qu Wanwan didn’t have a choice but to follow Su Tao’s instructions. Su Tao and Lu Yunchuan were sitting in the sedan, staring at them.

When the elevator stopped at the sixteenth floor, Old Zhong suddenly felt that something was amiss and asked, “How did you come here earlier?”

Qu Wanwan never expected that Old Zhong would suddenly ask such a question. But she maintained her composure and replied, “I booked a cab through my phone.”

“Where is it? Open your phone and show it to me!” Old Zhong suddenly snatched Qu Wanwan’s phone. He had a keen sense, and he could sense that something was amiss when the vehicle did not leave after sending Qu Wanwan over. Logically speaking, that vehicle should’ve left after dropping of Qu Wanwan. So he tried probing her, which she gave it away.

Nervously, Qu Wanwan replied, “Give my phone back!” She charged over and snatched her phone with Old Zhong.

“You bitch! Come clean with me! What are you trying to do here!” Old Zhong might be in his fifties, but he was ultimately still a man. He grabbed onto Qu Wanwan’s throat and pressed the elevator button, closing the elevator door that was opening.

“Let me go!” Qu Wanwan started gasping for her breath with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Old Zhong had no intention of killing Qu Wanwan. He was just trying to use this method to force the truth out of her. He questioned in a solemn voice, “Tell me what’s going on, and I’ll spare your life!”

Qu Wanwan tried to break free from Old Zhong’s grasp, but it was only a futile effort. But when the lift opened. Su Tao was on the lift beside heading to the 16th floor. So he opened the door when he heard the commotion.

When he saw Qu Wanwan’s face turning purple, he lashed out a kick at Old Zhong’s abdomen.

Old Zhong wasn’t Su Tao’s opponent. He dropped to the ground on his knees, covering his abdomen. His eyes protruded out with a cooing sound coming from his throat. Su Tao did not give him any time to recover. On the way here, Qu Wanwan came clean under his interrogation. It was basically confident that Old Zhong was the head of this sham marriage team. Although Qu Wanwan was bad, the person controlling Qu Wanwan from behind the scenes was unforgivable.

Lifting Old Zhong from the ground, Su Tao placed Old Zhong’s head by the stainless steel door and asked coldly, “If I close the door now, do you think your head will be squashed?”

Su Tao naturally knew what Old Zhong was trying to do and applied pressure on the Yamen Acupoint. In the next second, Old Zhong could no longer speak.

Su Tao did not knock Old Zhong out directly and gave an order to Qu Wanwan, who was shivering beside him, “Close the door!”

Qu Wanwan was still at a loss. When she heard Su Tao’s bark, she immediately went over and pressed the closing button.

The door began to close and heavily clamped on Old Zhong’s head. But the door opened up a moment later due to the obstruction.

“Continue!” Su Tao ordered.
