《Physician’s Odyssey》Chapter 888 - The Crucial Step

Tao Qiuping arranged a vehicle to send Su Tao off.
When Su Tao came down from the vehicle, he gave a call to Yan Peng. He analyzed that the bidding plans must be sent by Yan Peng to Huaqing Hospital. Fred hadn’t been in China for long, so he did not believe that Fred had that sort of ability.
Receiving Su Tao’s call, Yan Peng smiled, “Mr. Su, what can I do for you?”
“Did you send a bidding plan to Huaqing Hospital a while ago?” Su Tao smiled.
“Yeah. Huaqing Hospital is a first-class hospital in Beijing. The President, Tao Qiuping, is a competent person who hired many top-notched doctors. The hospital is also gradually garnering fame in the capital. If this deal can be done, it will be Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate’s first step into China’s market.” Yan Peng frowned.
He was feeling unhappy. He guessed that Fred must’ve disclosed this to Su Tao. Su Tao might be a director of Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate, but he shouldn’t be involved in these actual operations.
It was considered a business secret, so it was best for lesser people to know about it.
Su Tao was smart and he immediately guessed what was going on when he heard Yan Peng’s tone. He replied, “I was in Huaqing Hospital for a lecture today, which I talked to Tao Qiuping after that. It just so happens that I told him that I’m one of Tosca’s directors, so he showed me the bidding plans. They have a good relationship with Ferry Pharmaceutical Conglomerate, but they’re interested in working with Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate now. You will have to follow up on this matter.”
Yan Peng was slightly started. He immediately realized that he had misunderstood Su Tao. He thought that Fred must’ve disclosed this matter to Su Tao. So it turned out that Tao Qiuping was the one who told Su Tao about this matter. From Su Tao’s words, Yan Peng could tell that Su Tao had helped out in this matter.
Yan Peng immediately felt ashamed and smiled, “That’s great! It’s difficult to get in contact with Huaqing Hospital. Our marketing staff spent days to run through a lot of connections but we got stuck when it reached their President. I already had no hope for it but I never expected that you came out to resolve it.”
“I don’t dare to take the credit for that. I just chatted with him about it and the reason why he picked Tosca is because of your marketing and Tosca’s products.” Su Tao smiled modestly.
Su Tao was really polite, which made Yan Peng feel even more ashamed. As he coughed, he smiled, “I have already arranged someone to contact the Three Flavour Medicine. Although we have not signed the contract, we’re already making preparations for it. The orders will be starting next week. Since you’re responsible for the first order’s funds, the profits will go entirely to you.”

“How can you do that?” Su Tao was surprised by Yan Peng’s generosity.
Waving his hand, Yan Peng laughed, “I have already gotten someone to do a market investigation and the Three Flavour Medicine’s products are truly good. Putting it bluntly, I’m afraid that it will be handed to someone else in the future. If that’s the case, I will have a lesser way to make money.”
Su Tao did not expect Yan Peng to be so optimistic about the Three Flavour Medicine and smiled, “I promise you that we will not find another partner. In addition, the profits for the first order will be separated into 7:3. You’ll take 70% and I’ll have the remaining 30%. You have more channels, and I will be relying on you in this manner. As for the future profits distribution, we’ll talk about it again half a year from now. What do you think?’
Yan Peng never expected that Su Tao would be so determined. He replied, “I’m embarrassed by your generosity.”
Su Tao waved his hand, “To be honest, I don’t care how much profit I can make. Even if I don’t have other sources of income, I can still support myself with my medical skills. It’s more meaningful for those medicines to be distributed abroad.”
“Mr. Su is truly a person with a sense of social responsibility.” Yan Peng sighed.
“Don’t you think that I’m a hypocrite instead?” Su Tao laughed.
“Of course not! I can tell that you’re speaking the truth. But a merchant like me likes to care about the details.” Yan Peng laughed, shaking his head.
“If there’s no merchant, how can the world prosper. If merchants aren’t down to details, how will everyone have the motivation to make money?” Su Tao smiled. “Merchants value profits. It’s not a shortcoming in my opinion, but an advantage.”
Yan Peng realized that he couldn’t really consider Su Tao to be a young man in his early twenties. Su Tao was mature, which made others feel admirable. Yan Peng smiled, “Since you say that, then I’m not in the position to bargain with you. The contract will go according to your current requirement and will not be revised. However, the content must be adjusted half a year from now.”
According to the current contract negotiated between Xia Yu and Yan Peng, the Three Flavour Medicine has the authority to set the price. Yan Peng can have 55% of the profits. However, Yan Peng still felt that 55% was too little and wanted 65%.
The Three Flavour Medicine did not have a market, and the marketing channel was important. Yan Peng wanted 65% because he was confident in his marketing team. It was on a completely different level compared to Zhen Wei in Cambell Pharmaceutical Company.

However, Yan Peng understands that with the competitiveness of Three Flavour MEdicine’s products, it could be recognized nationwide in half a year. At that time, they would have the marketing channels that they would no longer require any help.
So after thinking about it, Yan Peng chose to make concessions to the Three Flavour Medicine.
Every successful businessman had the foresight, and he found Su Tao worth investing in.
The best investment wasn’t on a product or enterprise, but the person.
Su Tao was young and he was already a National Healer. In a few decades from now when Su Tao had the same level of connection as Yue Zun, he wouldn’t have to rely on anyone. He could open a market by himself by using the National Healer Team.
Yan Peng could see that from how Su Tao handled Tao Qiuping.
Tao Qiuping was an academic figure. He was famed for being a difficult person. Even when Cambell Pharmaceutical Company accounted for 60% of the domestic market, Tao Qiuping did not allow their products in the hospital. He chose Ferry Pharmaceutical Conglomerate because he trusted the quality of their products. Although their prices might be higher, he was willing to pay for the best.
Now that Su Tao could make Tao Qiuping choose Tosca over Ferry, it was enough to prove Su Tao’s ability.
Yan Peng sighed inwardly. He suddenly realized that it might be his opportunity to get acquainted with Su Tao. Yan Peng was already the largest pharmaceutical distributor in China, but no one knew about him in the world. He also had an ambition in his heart to make a name for himself in the global platform.
Perhaps with the help of the Three Flavour Medicine, he might really have that opportunity.
Because the Three Flavour Medicine had a solid goal in the future, the global market.
Just by thinking about it, Yan Peng couldn’t help his blood from boiling.
After chatting with Su Tao a little more Yan Peng hung the phone and gave a call to Fred.
Fred had been in China for some time, when he realized that China’s market was totally different. The pharmaceutical industry had its own rules. As an outsider, money and the products weren’t of concern. If you want to integrate into society, you will need someone to lead you into the market.
So after Fred talked to Yan Peng, he was certain that Yan Peng was the key to Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate in China.
“Mr. Yan, what’s the matter?” Fred asked while smoking a cigar.
“I have a piece of good news for you. With the help of Mr. Su, our bidding plan for Huaqing Hospital has been approved. They’re now preparing to bring in equipment from Tosca.” Yan Peng smiled.
“Is that true? That’s great!” Fred tried his best to contain himself. His hand was trembling as he held onto the cigar. He was feeling too excited.
He might have a post, but only he knew how difficult it was for him to maintain it. If he succeeded in opening a new market for Tosca, he would be the hero and his future would be unlimited. But if he couldn’t deliver any results, then he would only face dismissal.
Yan Peng knew that Fred had the same feelings as him. With a serious tone, he replied, “Winning the bid is only the first step. You have to ensure quality. If Huaqing Hospital approves of them, there will be a steady stream of orders next.”
That was only the first march, but it was also the most crucial one.
Yan Peng did not give any assurance to Fred, but he gave his confidence.
Nodding his head, Fred promised, “You don’t have to worry about that. The reason why Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate is able to gain a foothold in the global market is due to the quality of our products and after-sales service. We will provide a team to conduct training for the doctors. And if there are any problems, we will also perform maintenance as soon as possible.”
Yan Peng knew how professional Tosca Pharmaceutical was and smiled, “I heard that Ms. Joanna will be coming to China soon? You must notify me in advance if that happens.”
“Thank you for your invitation. I will let Ms. Joanna know about that.” Fred smiled.
After experiencing the Seven Mountain Virus incident, Joanna had now gained the recognition of all directors.
Tosca Pharmaceutical Conglomerate’s foundation laid in medical equipment. But in recent years, their investments branched out, resulting in having too much on the plate. Many subsidiary companies had suffered losses and they also gradually lost their competitiveness in the medical equipment industry. This was the reason why Joanna had placed so much effort into China’s market trying to change Tosca’s plight.

Now for the synopsis of the story: your standard reincarnation seventh hero type deal but there is a little..... Slip up: parts of the person fractals creating several people;; A great-hearted hero, a savvy traveling merchant, and a sadist curious dungeon Lord.
