Annelotte accompanied Leguna to his new quarters quietly. Whether intentional or not, he chose to live close to Galestorm Manor.
Annelotte knew she no longer had a reason to walk with him when they arrived. It was a habit she had developed even before she'd lost her memory. If there was something that spurred internal contradiction, she would find a reason to justify something she was usually too embarrassed to do.

"Bastard, surrender yourself!" "You think you can escape our encirclement?!" "An omnicidal fiend like you can only atone in death!" Despite his precarious situation, a young man ignored the union's provocations. His violet robe was in tatters, showing the incredible number of attacks he received, yet there was no sign of injury. Noticing the light smile tugging at his lips, the pursuing heroes warily watched him, cautious of a final attack. It was only by working together that they could corner a monster like him. An arrow pierced the air, beelining towards the young man. A malicious gleam revealed itself in his eyes; he unsheathed his sword, a long, curved blade, and deflected the projectile, spiking it into the ground. The archer's eyes widened before being split in two. He died suddenly and indignantly. The group backed away; their former confidence diminished greatly by the invisible counter. It was then that the young man sighed, his voice full of lament and self-pity. "Being a saint truly is difficult, even the world cannot understand my righteous actions." Enter the harbinger Dubhan—cheerful, determined, and not terribly skilled at thinking ahead—and warlock Allouet— intelligent and resourceful, but desperately in over his head. Together, the two of them have half an idea of what they're doing at best, but that's not going to stop them from aiming for the labyrinth's unknown depths. MeiQ is, at its core, a fanfiction inspired by the Etrian Odyssey franchise, alternatively known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu in Japan. Despite that, it is written with the intent to be enjoyable by those unfamiliar with the series as well. The characters and the city of Omaros are original, while the story draws upon lore and recurring concepts from the game series. However, Etrian Odyssey is known for its lore being sparse and open to speculation, so much of the details provided in this story are exactly that—a fan’s speculation and personal expansion of the lore. This story was also inspired by and written as part of HereBeTreasure's Fast Food Frontpage Competition, enjoy some simple dungeon exploration plot and whatever else pops up from this.

For Leo, coffee isn't just a morning sip - it's his business. When the stress of grad school got to him, Leo packed his bags and moved northwest, buying a cramped espresso drive-thru to make a living. It's not much, but it's peaceful. Everything changes when a competitor threatens him out of business. The solution comes down like a lightning strike, literally. An injured woman storms down in front of him, claiming to be a sacked ruler from another dimension. Malquea, the Lord of Lords, minces no words: she's there to recover her powers and gain control of both dimensions.
