《I Am Overlord》Chapter 729: We Obey The Overlord

Speaking of speed, Xiang Shaoyun was probably the fastest disciple in the Dragon Phoenix Academy.
Why so?
Because he had comprehended the profundity of wind, and his footwork intent had reached the shrinking space stage. He was as fast as Sovereigns. How could Situ Qingfeng compare with him in terms of speed?
That was why, after Xiang Shaoyun decided to attack, he killed Situ Qingfeng before Situ Qingfeng could even react. Only afterward did the Squall members react and immediately attack.
However, Xiang Shaoyun moved like the wind, and they were not his match. The storm he created started moving toward them. It blew away even the surrounding flying rocks and horned shell monsters. The Squall members were greatly frightened, and they quickly retreated, afraid of being dragged into the storm as well.
Xiang Shaoyun's attack was too destructive, comparable to the attack of a late-stage Emperor. It was understandable they would not dare to take it on. After the storm reached a certain distance, it spat out a corpse. It was none other than Situ Qingfeng, and not a single spot on its skin was without damage.
"Get lost and tell Feng Xiaosha that I will come for his life one day as well," said Xiang Shaoyun coldly.
The two shivered in fear and fled without bothering to collect Situ Qingfeng's corpse. Xiang Shaoyun's strength was too scary. They did not dare to stay even one second longer for fear of losing their lives as well.
Killing fellow disciples was prohibited in the academy, but since they were outside the academy, the rule was much less restrictive. They were afraid Xiang Shaoyun would really wipe them out.
In truth, although Xiang Shaoyun proclaimed himself the overlord, he had a feeling he still wasn't overbearing enough. He wouldn't have bothered killing Situ Qingfeng if it wasn't for the repeated provocations.

Looking at the two who were fleeing, he sighed inwardly, The gleamstar water is too alluring. So many have died for it. I suppose the academy has long foreseen this. Is this their way of filtering out the useless disciples?
Xiang Shaoyun did not spend too much time thinking. He quickly rushed toward the other Overlord Legion members. Of the Overlord Legion members, only one of them had obtained a drop of gleamstar water by fluke. The rest were still empty handed.
As for Aikai, he had managed to obtain two drops. However, the gleamstar water wasn't too useful for him, so he gave both drops to Xiang Shaoyun. Xiang Shaoyun did not stand on ceremony and accepted them.
Soon after, he left with the Overlord Legion members in search of more gleamstar water. Each drop was only enough to expand the capacity of a single star. Someone like Xiang Shaoyun, who had nine stars, would require nine drops.
In other words, the gleamstar water he had collected so far was not even enough for him, let alone for sharing.
"From now on, those who disobey a command can immediately leave the Overlord Legion. I won't make things difficult for those who leave," Xiang Shaoyun declared, radiating sternness.
He had initially assumed his strength was enough to deter his subordinates and that he would be able to lead them and gather more gleamstar water. But after the previous incident, he felt that his deterrence was not enough. There were still a lot of overconfident subordinates who refused to obey, resulting in deaths.
If he let this continue, he would be an unqualified leader. Now, he was forced to make things clear and warn them sufficiently. Otherwise, it would be his fault if the same occurrence repeated.
"We obey the overlord!" Everyone answered.

Of those remaining, some were initial members and some were late members. However, after they had witnessed Xiang Shaoyun's ability to seemingly detect danger, they were filled with reverence.
That was even more so after seeing Xiang Shaoyun easily killing Situ Qingfeng. If not even a leader like this was worth their devotion, what sort of leader would be worthy of them?
There were about 30 of them left, and with renewed unity, they headed off in search of more gleamstar water.
Alas, in the coming days, they were unlucky. Instead of finding more gleamstar, they were battered and exhausted by the numerous sudden force field eruptions. The following several days, a few of them suffered grave injuries. The rest did not have it easy either.
In fact, nobody who had entered was having an easy time. Casualties were high, and many more would probably die within the month. Some finally couldn't take it anymore and left, giving up on the gleamstar water. Even so, they weren't considered cowards. In fact, it was also a form of bravery to let go in the face of impossibility.
Of course, not everyone was without any gains. This restricted space was worthy of being a place with the remnants of a star. The rich amount of preserved astral energy had condensed into gleamstar water that could be found abundant in some seemingly stable areas within the space.
It was a pity that this restricted space was near destruction. Thus, those stable areas were turning unstable, carrying the risk of exploding at any time. Xiang Shaoyun's group had subsequently found two other stable areas, but both had exploded before they could get near, resulting in zero gains.
After half a month, Xiang Shaoyun's group finally met up with Tang Longfei's group. Only half were left of Tang Longfei's group, and not one was without injury. They all cut sorry figures.
"Any gains, Big Brother Tang?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.
"Sigh. Don't mention it. We found some, but we ended up losing everything," said Tang Longfei gloomily. From how disheartened he was, it was clear he had received a huge blow.
"What happened?" Xiang Shaoyun asked.
Someone unhappily said, "It's those Crushing Sky people. They are too domineering. We found the gleamstar water first, but when we were about to start collecting, the Crushing Sky snatched the spot from us by relying on their numbers. If it wasn't for the deputy commander covering our retreat, we would have lost even our lives."
"Crushing Sky?" Xiang Shaoyun's face turned solemn.
The Crushing Sky was the most domineering faction in the academy. They had both strength and numbers, a gathering of geniuses. They had always been the one to bully others, and nobody had dared find trouble with them. Tang Longfei was already doing well to be able to retreat with his subordinates.
"We have neither the number nor strength to fight them, so there is nothing we can say about it. Let's just continue our search," said Tang Longfei with a bitter smile.
"You're right, Big Brother Tang. But you can't remain so disheartened," said Xiang Shaoyun.
They continued their search. But when the group finally found some gleamstar water, they encountered the Crushing Sky people again.
