Soon, Ji Ning met with Immortal Diancai.
Within a quiet, secluded courtyard. There was a gourd of Immortal wine, two wine cups, a master, and a disciple. The two were drinking wine and chatting with each other.
“Master, I didn’t disturb your meditations, did I?” Ning asked.
“I was just engaging in ordinary meditation; I wasn’t in a prajna-state of sudden enlightenment. What’s there to disturb?” Immortal Diancai looked at Ning, then nodded with satisfaction. “Ji Ning, you are far more powerful than you were in the past. When you first entered my tutelage, you were a piece of unpolished jade; you were quite young. But now, your divine sense is a bit more powerful than even mine; you truly are the peerless genius who became the champion of the Conclave after having trained for merely thirty or so years.”
“If you keep praising me this much, Master, I’m going to start wiggling with delight,” Ning joked with a laugh.
“You little punk…” Immortal Diancai laughed, then shook his head.
Ning said seriously, “Master, are you truly planning to take on your Celestial Tribulation soon? This is something that you need to be extremely cautious about; you can’t be the slightest bit over-confident in handling it.”
“I know that. Of course I know that. There are countless Earth Immortals and Loose Immortals, but it’s rare for the entire Grand Xia world to produce a single Celestial Immortal in a million years.” Immortal...

Spiko has Plot Armor as thick as any MC that you can't really kill off for good. But no Demon Lord will trip over a pebble, onto a peel of any fruit of choice and then die in a comedic way. When she needs saving. She's a tough cookie, which will find ways to get out of trouble (or into it). -Yes, the picture shows Spiko in her true glory. Before a lot of other stuff happened to her. And yes, Spiko is a weird Name for a cat. I'm weird. -Thoughts of Spiko are in Cursive = Why is that flower blue? -Descriptions and passive observational stuff that is coming from 3rd person view is in normal = There stood a blue flower, as Spiko shifted her wary gaze. -Distinct sounds are in bold = Swish (goes the cat paw on that blue flower!) -Talking is as always in "Hey, stop that!" -System stuff will be in tables = [Stat gain Stuff and so on] -There will be light GameLit stuff. I won't overdo it and if i do anything GameLit, it will have a reason and explanation. Do excuse the table formatting. I'm not great with word processor programs. -I'm crazy. Updates: Saturdays + whenever I feel like it (atm about 2~4 chapters a weekend + maybe weekdays. I guess?).

Chapters are released every Sunday, around 6:00 Central Time.

The once-prominent Taihelong dynasty of Li continent has fallen. A great cultivation sect that ruled over countless cultivation schools that taught aspiring immortals disappeared after a long and arduous siege that cost thousands. People blamed the foreign woman the Emperor took as a wife. She was of the Huayi after all -- they were always associated with disasters and couldn't be trusted. As far as everyone was concerned, the Taihelong dynasty had to fall or else the world ended. Years later, the second Emperor of the new Xiafeng dynasty of Li continent accepts a Huayi woman into the palace. People are aghast but don't say anything, as the Emperor is rather peculiar, known to have a monstrous temper capable of making the strongest men wet their pants. It seems that the ghosts of the past are catching up to the Xiafeng dynasty, for what good will come from having a Huayi woman help run state affairs? Especially when remnants of the previous Taihelong dynasty are waiting for the perfect time to take back what's theirs.
