An arcane medical team came into the field and lifted Moss on a stretcher.
The second fight between Divine Shield Academy and Holy Dawn Academy ended with Charlotte's victory, but, awed by Moss' final desperate attack, the Divine Shield students in the stands didn't cheer very loudly for a little while.
“Teacher Carter!” Ayrin suddenly said, watching Moss being lifted on the stretcher.
“What?” Carter turned around and looked at him.
“Can we let him stay in the field?”
Ayrin looked at Carter and said with a serious face, “What I mean is... If Moss isn't too heavily injured and can stay behind, then can we let him stay here with us? I think he'd very much like to watch with his own eyes our final victory in this match.”
Carter blinked, then immediately smiled.
A fire that he couldn't hold inside, a fire that hadn't appeared in a long time, ignited in his heart.
“Alright!”
He nodded with a smile. “He has a serious injury in his foot at most, but it shouldn't matter too much. He should wake up in a little bit. Let's just have him stay here and watch this match to the end!”

Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World." It is basically the same story, just a thousand times better and with decent length chapters!

Now his story begins... This story is pretty grim and depressing with vivid violence (gore on the later part). Sexual content is included but I don't plan on making this an ero-novel so it will just involve rape and (not-so)normal intercourse. MC starts normal and simple then turns anti-hero but... well, let's just say he won't stay that way but he also won't be a "good guy". Just a HEADS UP, I am not into satanism or cults or anti-christ but some themes and dialogues here are related to demons and stuff like that so to those who will read this, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. This story is a fictional novel by which is created by the author's own words and thoughts. Any person, circumstances or happenings that are written here is purely fictional and does not relate to anything that might coincide with the plot settings and characters of this story. This story is the manifestation of the author's (my) own understanding of pain, deceit, struggles, betrayal and suffering but it does not represent the author's (my) own experiences in life.
