《Everlasting》Chapter 883 Returning to the Northern Plains

“Chen Feng, I knew you would come, but I didn’t think you’d bring so many people with you.” Jian Xiaotian, Wen Shaoxiu and the others who had good relationships with Chen Feng started coming over.
Chen Feng had sent them a massage the moment he arrived. Thus, they quickly made their way over.
“Ha ha ha! Brother Chen, it’s been a long time. Your rate of cultivation is simply too fast!” Wen Shaoxiu laughed.
Wen Shaoxiu and the others were still at the starter-level Human Immortal stage while Chen Feng was already at the high-level Human Immortal stage. He had left them all behind.
“A quick rise in cultivation level is not necessarily a good thing. You fellows have stable cultivation bases. Advancing to the next level is just a matter of time,” Chen Feng responded smilingly.
“Everyone, you should already know why I am here, no?” Chen Feng then asked.
“Naturally. Although the Northern Plains is far away, it is still part of the world of cultivation. How can we not know about it? Brother Chen, don’t worry about it! It doesn’t matter what the sect’s decision may be. As long as you say the word, we brothers and sisters will instantly follow you to slaughter a path into the Northern Plains. No questions asked,” Wen Shaoxiu said.
“All I can say is, thank you!” Chen Feng said solemnly.
“Brother Chen sure is putting a lot into this. However, given your current level of strength, status and identity, I believe that the higher-ups of our sect will make a reasonable decision,” Jian Xiaotian said.
Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!
Something flashed before their eyes and four Earthen Immortals appeared simultaneously before Chen Feng.
They were the cultivators sent by Heavenly Sword Faction to receive Chen Feng. Chen Feng was already a lord of his own territory, spanning a radius of a million kilometres in the ocean region. He also had a high number of subordinates. Such a person held quite the influence in the world of cultivation, someone that the various great sects and forces would like to recruit or have a good relationship with.
More, Heavenly Sword Faction had always been on good terms with Chen Feng, who also happened to be an honorary elder of the sect. This time, Chen Feng had brought so many cultivators with him over. If they were to send out low-level cultivators to receive him, they would be laughed at by others.
“Elder Chen, our Sect Master would like to meet you,” one of them stepped forward and said.
Looking at the high number of cultivators crowding the teleportation square, the four Earthen Immortals revealed an entangled expression on their faces. When Chen Feng first arrived, he was not even a Human Immortal. Back then, he was just a minor Sky Human stage cultivator. After such a short time, he had actually reached the high-level Human Immortal stage. Him entering Absolute Academy aside, he even managed to establish his own force in the ocean region, gaining himself a considerably large territory.
The four Earthen Immortals had sharp eyes and they were able to quickly notice that over 100 of the cultivators Chen Feng brought over were very talented individuals. They were none other than the students from Absolute Academy. For Chen Feng to be able to mobilize so many people from Absolute Academy, the four of them knew that Chen Feng must have done very well for himself in the academy.

Naturally, they were still unaware of the fact that Chen Feng had fought against the elders of Absolute Academy. If they were to find out about it, they would become even more shocked.
The Sect Master of Heavenly Sword Faction possessed a highly formidable cultivation base. He was in the midst of assailing the Earthen Immortal stage. However, it meant that he – the leader of Heavenly Sword Faction – was only at the Human Immortal stage.
It was to be expected. Those at the Earthen Immortal stage were characters who would usually ignore the affairs of the world. They would only emerge if there was something serious going on. Generally speaking though, upon breaking through to the Earthen Immortal stage, they would either enter cultivation retreat or explore outer space, working hard for the sake of ascending to the Immortal Plane.
As Chen Feng headed over to meet the Sect Master, Jian Xiaotian and the others went forth on their own to recruit some other friends and disciples who were on good terms with them.
By the time Chen Feng returned, Jian Xiaotian and the others had managed to gather up over 100 men. Most of them were Human Immortals.
“Brother Chen, how did it go?” Jian Xiaotian quickly moved forward to ask.
“The Sect Master promised to send out a batch of cultivators.” Chen Feng smiled.
“20 Human Immortals and 1,000 Sky Human stage cultivators. Two Earthen Immortals will also secretly come with us.”
“Tch, so stingy of him.” Jian Xiaotian pursed his lips to the side.
“That’s right. Even we managed to gather more than that,” Wen Shaoxiu chipped in.
“Ha ha ha, you jest. I am already happy at the fact that I am able to get some reinforcements from here. In order to show my thanks, I must not be stingy as well.” After saying that, Chen Feng waved his hand and a mountain appeared in the square. No, it was actually a mountainous pile of spirit stones.
20 million Immortal crystals!
Every single one of the spirit stones Chen Feng brought out was an Immortal crystal. The image of 20 million Immortal crystals piled up high was simply too impactful. It was a sight that none of the cultivators there had ever seen before. Even the two Earthen Immortals who were secretly tagging along stumbled at the sight. It was so shocking that they nearly exposed themselves.
“This kid sure is generous! Where did he get so many Immortal crystals from? Does our Eternal World have Immortal crystal mines?”
“He must have found some treasure hoard. Still, he really is generous. Given how many Immortal crystals there are, even Earthen Immortals would want to come snatch them. And yet, he does not look fazed at all.”
“Everyone, you are all helping me out this time. So, I will not waste time with pointless words. Divide these spirit stones amongst yourselves!” Chen Feng’s voice rang out.
Woah!
An uproar broke out.
There were over 20,000 cultivators following Chen Feng back to the Northern Plains. Amongst them, the cultivators from East Dragon Island made up the majority. The Immortal crystals were divided in quite the impartial manner.

Naturally, the Immortal crystals were not split equally amongst everyone there. Rather, it was based on their cultivation levels.
Even so, after receiving their share of the Immortal crystals, practically every single one of the Sky Human stage cultivators were highly delighted. For Sky Human stage cultivators, Sacred crystals could already be considered as top-grade spirit stones. Rather, some had never even gotten the chance to use Sacred crystals before.
The 20 million Immortal crystals were swiftly divided up, but Chen Feng remained impassive to it. Seeing that secretly shocked some of the cultivators there yet again.
In truth, there were hundreds of millions of Immortal crystals stored within the Longevity Tower. Moreover, there were also some spirit stones that were of a better grade than Immortal crystals inside.
One such example was the Profound Origin Jade crystal. Although the Longevity Tower had devoured most of it, Tower did leave a portion behind for Chen Feng.
“Brother Chen, after just a few years, you have become a figure of respect for us,” Wen Shaoxiu said, a hint of envy in his voice.
“I got lucky. It is something I obtained in outer space, but I nearly died on that trip.” Chen Feng shook his head, smiling as he did.
After finishing up assembling the cultivators, Chen Feng directed them to utilize Heavenly Sword Faction’s large-scale teleportation array.
Their destination: The Northern Plains.
As Chen Feng was leading the cultivators to the Northern Plains, Extreme Celestial Sect was already in a precarious situation.
The lords of the Northern Plains were unquestionably Nine Firmaments Palace, Transcendent Firmaments Palace and Purple Firmaments Palace; the Three Palaces. At that very moment the three had joined forces against Extreme Celestial Sect while other sects took advantage of the situation to plunder the burning house. Some other sects with good relationships with Extreme Celestial Sect and even those that were allied with them dared not take part as well. Rather, they had decisively severed their relationship for fear of bringing a calamity down on themselves.
The moment the war began, everyone knew. Barring any accidents, Extreme Celestial Sect, with a heritage lasting who knows how many tens of thousands of years, would be destroyed.
Some of the other sects gloated at Extreme Celestial Sect’s misery while others secretly felt worried. There were also those who were indifferent towards the war. Even Sword Hall, who would usually put on a tough front and look down on even Nine Firmaments Palace, had gone silent.
This was a large-scale war, after all. Sword Hall dared not join such a battle on a whim.
Still, this large-scale war between first-rate sects was not something that could end quickly. Although Extreme Celestial Sect had suffered from serious casualties and lost a high number of territories, they were able to hold on, albeit barely. They had yet to utterly fall.
Naturally, defeat was not an option for them. Defeat in this war would only end with their deaths.
During this life and death situation, Extreme Celestial Sect unleashed an unprecedented level of power and some seniors who had been secluding themselves for cultivation and even those Earthen Immortals who were exploring outer space returned. The appearance of these powerhouses managed to slow down the rate at which Extreme Celestial Sect was falling.
However, they were only able to slow it down. Extreme Celestial Sect’s fall was just a matter of time.
The Northern Plains…
Carefree City…
This was a large city managed by several forces.
As a large city, it was only natural for it to boast of a large-scale teleportation array and a vast teleportation square.
Row after row of soldiers stood guard around the place and cultivators kept emerging from the teleportation array. There was also a high number of cultivators lining up to enter the teleportation array.
It was always a lively place.
Weng!
Suddenly, the large-scale teleportation array there activated. With a flash of bright light, over 100 cultivators appeared on the teleportation array.
Even before the 100 cultivators walked out from the teleportation array, the aura that each of them was subconsciously exuding had enveloped the entire city.
“What?! Such a powerful aura!”
“So many Human Immortals! There are actually over 100 Human Immortals! What is going on here?”
“Where did this force come from? They look unfamiliar.”
“Heavens! Over 100 Human Immortals are gathered together! Is the world about to change?”
Although Carefree City was a large city, Human Immortals were still a very rare existence there. The fact that they had the word ‘immortal’ in their names meant that they were lofty existences.
Thus, the influence exerted by the appearance of the hundred plus Human Immortals there was simply too overpowering.
The other cultivators there felt puzzled and they began discussing the situation when the teleportation array beside them began shining with light. Next, another hundred plus cultivators appeared within that teleportation array as well.
After these newcomers walked out of the teleportation array, some of the cultivators in the city began fainting.
“Are my eyes playing tricks on me? They are all Human Immortals! Heavens! There are more than 200 Human Immortals!”
“200 Human Immortals! Just what is going on here? Do they want to occupy this city?”
“Ptui! Although Carefree City is a large city, it is not worth mobilizing so many Human Immortals for it. This is 200 Human Immortals we’re talking about! Just one breath from them is enough to tear down this city.”
“Hurry, report this to the City Lord.”
“I don’t think the City Lord would have the guts to come out.”
“Eh, what are they doing?”
Something even more surprising happened. The 200 plus Human Immortals who appeared earlier quickly spread out to encircle the teleportation array.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Several of them took action, firing out seals and arrays. It did not take long before space began twisting and an even greater spatial passageway was formed.
“What are they doing?”
“Are you an idiot? They are clearly opening a spatial passageway.”
“Didn’t they just teleport over? Why open a spatial passageway? Could it be-” After saying that, the onlookers covered their mouths in shock.
