Chen Feng was secretly shocked. However, he swiftly forced himself to calm down. The massive hand that appeared in the void earlier had been created by an Ascendant Immortal. It was able to instantly bring the Longevity Tower back out from the void.

Given how arrogant Nine Firmaments Palace is, it comes as no surprise that they would have Ascendant Immortals. Still, I have met my fair share of Ascendant Immortals, even fought against them. Heh! I do want to see them.

Still, sending an Ascendant Immortal into this war is a violation of the rules.

Looks like Nine Firmaments Palace is going to completely bare its fangs.

After the Longevity Tower was pulled back out, it rotated a few times and Chen Feng appeared. He hovered up in the sky, holding the Longevity Tower in his hand.

“Who is it? Just come out. You are an Ascendant Immortal, after all. Sneakily attacking like this, aren’t you ashamed of yourself?” Chen Feng sneered.

When the cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace saw Chen Feng flee earlier, they had grown shocked and apprehensive. Seeing him re-appear, however, they stopped attacking. They knew then that someone else had taken action.

“If I didn’t do anything, you would have been able to escape.” A thick voice rang out and a middle-aged cultivator appeared before Chen Feng.

The two of them regarded one another and a look of surprise appeared on their faces.

“Longevity Tower! You are a member of the Longevity Clan!”

“Ha ha ha! So, you are a cultivator from the Lightning Plane. Since you’ve found out my identity, you will have to die now.”

The surrounding cultivators from Nine Firmaments Palace noticed something strange. A trace of fear could be seen within the eyes of the Ascendant Immortal on their side.

However, the Ascendant Immortal was quick to bring his emotions in check.

“Is the Longevity Clan also interested in this little life-bearing world?”

“How should I address you?” Chen Feng avoided the question.

“Heavenly Premier Primebolt.”

“You possess quite the set of skills. To think that you would be able to enter this world. No matter how you cut it, this is one of the earliest life-bearing places in the universe. And yet, you dare to recklessly come all the way here? Are you not afraid that you might die here?” Chen Feng said smilingly.

“Though, which side do you represent? The Lightning Plane? Or the Immortal Plane? Or yourself?”

“Since our Lightning Plane has merged with the Immortal Plane, there will no longer be any Lightning Plane, only the Immortal Plane. But what of you? A mere Human Immortal who possesses the Longevity Tower. Are you not aware of the danger you are in?” Heavenly Premier Primebolt suddenly attacked.

As expected of an Ascendant Immortal, he was not someone that Chen Feng could handle. Instantly, Chen Feng felt space shifting and everything else disappeared. All that was left was a lightning palm, which moved forward to grasp him.

He’d chosen to attack in the end. Looks like the name Longevity Clan can no longer deter them. Chen Feng scoffed and made ready to retaliate.

Suddenly, a cyan-coloured beam of sword light made its way into the space that the Ascendant Immortal had created. This sword beam was transparent and it shone with a gem-like lustre. Striking the lightning palm, it created a tearing sound and the palm was cleaved into two.

Bi Qing, clad in cyan-coloured clothes and with a sword slung across his back, appeared before Chen Feng.

“Senior Bi Qing!” Chen Feng smiled. He did not appear surprised. This was within his expectations.

“Looks like the hand of the Immortal Plane is getting a little long,” Bi Qing said coolly.

“It is possible that he is acting alone.”

“Unexpectedly, after leaving the Northern Plains for just a short time, such a big change would happen. Looks like Nine Firmaments Palace really wants to unify the entire Northern Plains.”

“More, they want to unify the entire Eternal World.”

“With the support of the Immortal Plane, it is not an impossibility.”

“It feels strange, though. Although Eternal World is an ancient world, it is still just a life-bearing cultivation world in the end. For the Immortal Plane to be setting its sights on it, looks like there is something good here.”

“Even Immortal artefacts would appear here from time to time. Those things are fiercely fought for even in the Immortal Plane.”

Chen Feng and Bi Qing discussed, seemingly ignoring Heavenly Premier Primebolt’s existence.

“Sir, how should I address you and where are you from?” Heavenly Premier Primebolt stared at Bi Qing, light flashing within his eyes. Lightning powers flashed across his body and his hand grasped to bring out a great lightning halberd.

The might of an Immortal artefact emanated from it.

“Bi Qing, from the Celestial Clearblue Plane,” Bi Qing answered coolly.

“Celestial Clearblue Plane.” The expression on Heavenly Premier Primebolt’s face flickered non-stop and he seemingly pondered something.

“How unexpected, the name of our Celestial Clearblue Plane is no longer capable of subduing these little fellows anymore.” Bi Qing sighed.

“It’s the same for our Celestial Longevity Plane.” Chen Feng shook his head.

“Have our Celestial Planes been staying silent for too long?”

“That is one reason. Another reason, however, is the previous war. Every one of our Celestial Planes exhausted too much of our strength in the war while the Immortal Plane had been growing at a rapid pace recently. Heh! Looks like the Immortal Plane is getting somewhat ambitious.”

“In that case, I should kill off this junior first!” After saying that, Bi Qing beckoned and the sword slung across his back transformed into a stream of light before flying into his grasp.

Bi Qing had only just reached the Ascendant Immortal stage himself. He was practically on the same cultivation level as Heavenly Premier Primebolt. However, that was all. Bi Qing’s action of simply swinging his sword a few times caused a feeling to rise up from Heavenly Premier Primebolt’s heart. He felt as though he could not defeat this opponent.

Bi Qing was a Heavenly Immortal in his previous life, after all. Although he had yet to fully recover his full strength, the mental pressure that he could exert on others was strong enough to break the minds of cultivators on the same level as him.

“You want to kill me? You don’t have what it takes! Come out!” Heavenly Premier Primebolt suddenly laughed.

Sou! Sou! Sou!

Following Heavenly Premier Primebolt’s shout, three more cultivators broke through space to appear before them all.

In addition to Heavenly Premier Primebolt, they now had four people standing on their side. Lightning currents kept emerging from their bodies to form a canopy, entrapping Chen Feng and Bi Qing inside it.

Four Ascendant Immortals!

The four formidable auras were so provocative that it caused Eternal World’s essence to roar in response.

“A Lightning Element Barrier. They were prepared.” Bi Qing sighed. However, he showed no concern at having to face four Ascendant Immortals.

Chen Feng’s face, however, turned somewhat grim. They had been hiding this force from the beginning. They wanted to lure out the cultivators behind me. Truth is, these fellows have been looking down on my identity as a member of the Longevity Clan.

“Four against two. They have the upper hand here,” Bi Qing said smilingly.

“Four Ascendant Immortals and the magic arrays of Nine Firmaments Palace. Be it in terms of numbers or terrain, we are in a disadvantageous position.”

“Not necessarily. They have reinforcements, so do we.” Bi Qing revealed a cryptic smile.

“Well then, attack! It’s been quite some time since I last fought cultivators from the Lightning Plane,” Bi Qing said, swinging the sword in his hand, which roared towards Heavenly Premier Primebolt.

Bi Qing’s swordsmanship was clear and simple. And yet, it also contained profound, grand dao laws. Due to that, those who saw his sword moves would find it near impossible to block. This was a realm where the grand dao powers have been simplified to the point of returning to their primary state.

Even though their cultivation levels were equal, there was a great gap between their abilities to utilize the power of laws. Under such circumstances, it was possible for a cultivator with a higher comprehension of the power of laws to instantly kill off his or her opponents, even when outnumbered one to three.

In Bi Qing’s case, his comprehension towards the power of laws – despite his cultivation level of the Ascendant Immortal stage – was at the Heavenly Immortal stage.

And so, Bi Qing did not fall into a disadvantageous position when facing the four Ascendant Immortals. By relying on his godlike swordsmanship, he was able to face them. Seeing that, Chen Feng felt his blood boiling.

“Chen Feng, no need to worry about me. Just go ahead and do what you need to do.” Just as Chen Feng was considering whether or not he should step forward to help Bi Qing, he received a secret vocal transmission from Bi Qing.

Sigh! Do what I need to do. That’s not easy either. Chen Feng waved and the Longevity Tower flew out before abruptly shaking, smashing a large hole through the Lightning Element Barrier.

Swiftly, Chen Feng flew out. The Longevity Tower hovered above his head, rotating continuously while emanating a power which encased Chen Feng’s body.

Next, wielding the Netherbone Lance, Chen Feng charged. With the Longevity Tower protecting him, he was practically invincible.

Boom!

Chen Feng’s objective had been to inflict destruction upon Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters. Judging by the current situation, however, it would appear to be quite the difficult task.

Firstly, Nine Firmaments Palace possessed a high number of formidable Earthen Immortals. They even possessed Immortal artefacts and defensive-type great arrays. These great arrays could even obstruct Ascendant Immortals.

Despite having pushed the Netherbone Lance to the best of his abilities, Chen Feng was still incapable of inflicting serious damage to Nine Firmaments Palace. On the contrary, he ended up facing the suppression of the great arrays and the attacks from the Earthen Immortals, which wounded him in the end.

Sigh! I wonder how the Extreme Celestial Mountains is faring right now. Chen Feng then utilized a secret technique to contact Jian Xiaotian and the others before breathing a sigh of relief.

Thankfully, the Extreme Celestial Mountains will be able to endure for a while longer.

Glancing at Bi Qing, Chen Feng saw that he was still fighting against the four Ascendant Immortals and there was no way to tell who was winning. Thankfully, there was a Lightning Element Barrier around them, otherwise the resulting shockwaves from their fight would have obliterated Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters.

Only, Bi Qing was no longer having as easy of a time as he did in the beginning. At any rate, the four Ascendant Immortals from the Lightning Plane were no average cultivators themselves. Thus, Bi Qing was unable to gain much of an advantage over them.

This won’t do. Chen Feng frowned.

He had planned on attacking Nine Firmaments Palace’s headquarters to affect the current state of the war. However, he was now stuck here instead.

Should Nine Firmaments Palace’s side break their way through to the Extreme Celestial Mountains, there would be nothing else he could do about it.

Going all out? Don’t joke around. That was exactly what Chen Feng was doing right now. Rather, he had already over exhausted his vitality earlier. If he were to further exhaust his vitality anytime soon, it would cause irreversible damage to himself.

How problematic. Chen Feng shook his head, a bitter smile on his face.

Senior Bi Qing should not be the only one who had come, right? Since they have come, shouldn’t they all step forward?

As Chen Feng was considering that, a massive seal suddenly descended from above to heavily smash against the Lightning Element Barrier, causing it to shake while the four Ascendant Immortals who set up the barrier trembled. Blood began flowing out from their seven orifices.

Following that, a wooden staff flew down to furiously strike Heavenly Premier Primebolt. It was a formidable attack and Heavenly Premier Primebolt failed to even cry out as his body, that of an Ascendant Immortal, began breaking down. If it weren’t for the other three, who gave it their all to stop the second attack from the wooden staff, Heavenly Premier Primebolt would have been smashed to bits.

Due to that, however, the situation was instantly changed. Bi Qing took advantage of the opening to swiftly rush forward. With a swing of his sword, he cleaved all four enemy Ascendant Immortals from the waist down.

“Argh!”

All four Ascendant Immortals cried out wretchedly as energy streams surged and the cleaved body parts rapidly reconnected. In just the blink of an eye, their bodies had completely recovered.
