As Chen Feng’s cultivation base rose to a point where he was nearly incapable of suppressing it any further, the Planar War began. To Chen Feng’s relief, no more cultivators from the various Celestial Planes came after him.

Given my cultivation base, participating in the Planar War is something of a bullying act. That said, if over 1,000 Earthen Immortals or 100,000 Human Immortals were to join forces, they could still blast me to bits. Considering the scale of this war, even some experts could end up getting killed if they find themselves besieged. I must not be careless. Hopefully, the cultivators I brought along for this will be able to survive.

Although there were no real leaders for this Planar War, the first-rate forces continued holding considerable powers there. They became a gathering point for the loose cultivators who had chosen to participate in this Planar War.

Truth be told, the number of loose cultivators in Eternal World was quite high. In terms of quality, however, they were far inferior when compared to those who hailed from first-rate sects. The number of geniuses and experts amongst the loose cultivators was very small.

Chen Feng held several positions. He was a student of Absolute Academy, an elder of Heavenly Sword Faction and a Supreme Elder of Extreme Celestial Sect. Even so, as he was also the leader of his own forces, the lord of East Dragon Island, he received the position of leader as well. He was to lead the cultivators of East Dragon Island to participate in the Planar War.

Naturally, it meant that some loose cultivators and small forces would join East Dragon Island’s army. Only, their number was small. It was true that East Dragon Island had been making waves in the world of cultivation recently. However, when compared to the sects with deep foundations and legacies lasting over a million years, East Dragon Island was still the inferior.

Due to that, most of the loose cultivators would choose to join those first-rate forces instead. Naturally, there were also some who feared being relegated to cannon fodder duty. These people banded together to form an alliance. It was quite the formidable alliance.

When the participants entered the Planar Battlefield, they were greeted with a skyful of bloody and malevolent energy streams. Even though the war had yet to begin, the space there had undergone a world-shaking change. Due to this change, the quality of carnage in the atmosphere grew hundreds of times thicker than usual.

That was despite the fact that the war had yet to officially start. Once it did, the quality of carnage in the atmosphere would grow even stronger.

Although it is practically identical, this is not the same Planar Battlefield that I went to back then. Looks like Domain World’s Planar Battlefield is not the main battlefield for this. That’s good. Only, I wonder where the first battle will start? Chen Feng led his men forward, setting up camp within a flat and spacious area. They even set up magic arrays around them.

Truth be told, for those who had reached their level of cultivation, concepts like advantage in terrain were not that helpful anymore. The only exception would be the large-scale, naturally-occurring terrain.

Not long after entering the battlefield, Chen Feng made contact with the forces from Heavenly Sword Faction and Absolute Academy. However, there were millions of millions of li between their forces. Meeting up with them without using a large-scale teleportation array would be very difficult. Additionally, Chen Feng did not have any intentions to group up with them for the time being.

In addition to the 100 Human Immortals and 10,000 Sky Human cultivators that Chen Feng brought with him from East Dragon Island, there were also close to 10,000 others from the various smaller sects and loose cultivators. Amongst them were 30 Human Immortals. Only, their combat power was not as good as the cultivators from East Dragon Island.

The ocean region was a place brimming with resources, after all. Additionally, Chen Feng had spent recent years pouring in his own resources into them, nurturing and honing them to the max. Moreover, they were also embroiled in constant war with the other ocean region forces. Due to that, the cultivators from East Dragon Island were more ferocious when compared to the members of the other large sects.

Most of the 10,000 cultivators came from places near East Dragon Island. They were those who knew of East Dragon Island’s reputation. As for the others, they came just because.

Even now, some loose cultivators would continue to appear, requesting permission to join East Dragon Island’s army. Quite a lot of loose cultivators had chosen to enter the Planar Battlefield on their own. Characters like these would need to have a formidable cultivation base or be part of a force to survive in this battlefield.

20,000 cultivators. This number is too small. If we encounter a large enemy army, our army will be broken with one clash. Chen Feng had his own plans. While it was true that he had chosen to participate in this Planar War to obtain the rewards and experience, the most important reason was to train his forces. Additionally, he also wanted to see how big of a difference there was between his men and that of the other forces.

Three days later, a high number of spatial cracks spread out across the sky and streams of immortal energy surged into the Planar Battlefield. In just one day, the spiritual energy in the Planar Battlefield had risen by a hundred times.

Every living creature within the Planar Battlefield began breathing in the spiritual energy to cultivate themselves.

Heh! Is it going to start now? Chen Feng revealed a derisive grin. However, he then brought out the Longevity Tower.

The Longevity Tower then transformed, rising up to a height of 10,000 zhang, seemingly connecting Heaven and Earth. Rather, it seemed as though it could even destroy the world. It was a shocking sight.

A massive vortex then appeared above the Longevity Tower’s spire and the streams of spiritual energy within a radius of over half a million kilometres were pulled over. All of them were devoured by the Longevity Tower.

Weng!

The Longevity Tower’s power spread around. It felt even more effective compared to a Spirit Gathering Array. All the cultivators within a certain range felt their minds gaining more clarity while their fleshly bodies grew stronger. Even without any actions from them, the spiritual energy streams would still flow into their bodies.

There was no time to feel delighted as all of them swiftly began cultivating themselves. This was something that would only happen once in a blue moon.

Of course, Chen Feng’s actions also angered others. The spiritual energy streams within a radius of half a million kilometres and more had been taken away by his actions. Thus, several of the forces that were the closest to East Dragon Island’s army grew furious.

“Sir, aren’t you going too far here?”

Someone finally stepped forward to question Chen Feng.

This was an army from Eternal World, with five commanders in total. The number of cultivators in this army exceeded 200,000, several times more compared to East Dragon Island’s army.

Facing them, however, the Longevity Tower continued devouring the surrounding streams of spiritual energy while Chen Feng responded calmly, “What are you so anxious about? If the immortal energy is no more, you fellows can just go pray to the Immortal Plane and ask them to send some more.”

Truth be told, there were still streams of immortal energy flowing down from the spatial cracks in the sky. Only, the rate at which they were coming in could not keep up with the rate at which the Longevity Tower was devouring them up.

“I know you. Your name is Chen Feng. You have been making a name for yourself recently. However, do you think that these men from East Dragon Island could use so much immortal energy? Hurry up and release the immortal energy.”

“Do you want to provoke everyone here?”

“What you are doing is the equivalent of going against the entire Eternal World!”

Chen Feng furrowed his brows and mumbled in a hushed tone, “How noisy!”

Next, golden light flashed out from Chen Feng’s body to stab one of the cultivators there. Sword energy shone and the cultivators around him were thrown back, like cut hay.

It was the Steel Enigma Sword, an Immortal artifact.

“An Immortal artifact!”

“So what? You think having an Immortal artifact makes you amazing? Behold, our Dragon Tiger Sect’s Dragon Tiger Seal!”

“And our Hegemon Blade Sect’s Violent Bloodmalice Blade!”

The roars of tigers and dragons rang all the way up to the sky while a formidable astral blade appeared to split the sky and crack the earth.

The Dragon Tiger Sect came from the Western Regions while the Hegemon Blade Sect came from the Eastern Provinces. They did not know too much about Chen Feng.

“How troublesome! There are so many death seekers here.” Chen Feng waved his hand and the Steel Enigma Sword blocked the Violent Bloodmalice Blade. Next, the Heaven Piercing Lance flashed out to pierce right through the Dragon Tiger Seal. As a result, the mighty atmosphere of dragons and tigers dissipated away. Following that, the Heaven Piercing Lance descended to sweep about and large swaths of the cultivators there were killed off.

“It’s about time. Attack!” Chen Feng said calmly. Next, the cultivators he trained roared and charged forward. With a clash, two of the forces there were scattered.

Chen Feng kept the Steel Enigma Sword and Heaven Piercing Lance. As for the Longevity Tower, it continued to hover above his head. Only, it was no longer absorbing the immortal energy.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

Chen Feng fired out four golden-coloured sword beams in quick succession before stopping. The four sword beams killed over 1,000 men. Most importantly, they had disrupted the enemy formation and battered their morale. At that very moment, dread and thoughts of running away were the only things filling their minds.

Within the vast Planar Battlefield, they were the first to engage in battle. Additionally, both sides were from the same world. This incident would become a subject of ridicule for the other worlds.

Five forces joined up, numbering a total of over 200,000 men. Chen Feng’s army killed off 2,000 men. As a result, the remaining men trembled and their formation crumbled. Any will to fight disappeared. And so, facing the 20,000 men from Chen Feng’s army, they all ran away.

Next up, Chen Feng’s army swept the battlefield and was able to gain a considerable harvest. Chen Feng obtained two Immortal artifacts. One was the Dragon Tiger Seal while the other was the Violent Bloodmalice Blade. Even his men had managed to gain some items. Naturally, his army also sustained some casualties from the battle. It was inevitable. That said, as long as their souls remained, Chen Feng would take action to save them. For this reason, these fellows would go on to show no fear towards death in the upcoming battles.

Although it was a relatively small battle, it had still caused killing energy to surge into the sky and even cultivators that were over half a million kilometres away from them could clearly sense it.

“A battle has broken out! That’s strange, that place seems to be inside the region occupied by Eternal World’s forces.”

“Could there be cultivators from other worlds there?”

In the beginning, they were only slightly puzzled and they speculated what had happened there. However, they quickly obtained news of what transpired there.

“East Dragon Island made use of a magic treasure to absorb the spiritual energy from the Immortal Plane, angering five other forces. Thus, the two sides ended up battling one another. In a fight against five other forces, East Dragon Island managed to easily score a victory.”

“East Dragon Island’s Chen Feng utilized Immortal artifacts.”

“To think that something like this would happen. The war has yet to actually start, but the cultivators from Eternal World decided to fight one another first? How amusing!”

“Ha ha ha! That’s so funny! East Dragon Island, Chen Feng. This kid sure is interesting.”

“Humph, outrageous! Just what is the kid up to? I suggest we capture this kid immediately and deal with him using military law.”

“That won’t do. East Dragon Island has connections with Heavenly Sword Faction and Absolute Academy. Even Chen Feng has Immortal artifacts as means of protection. He will not be easy to handle.”

“Are we supposed to just let this kid mess around in the battlefield?”

“The Planar War has begun. Capturing this fellow is inadvisable. We’ll talk about it again after the Planar War is over. Either that or we can do something during the course of this war so that this kid never makes it back.”

“Right now, the most important issue is for us to win this war and obtain the rewards from the Immortal Plane.”

After utilizing his Immortal artifacts to kill his enemies, Chen Feng revealed a calm demeanour. There was no way to tell what was on his mind.
