The Longevity Tower did not grow bigger. It remained small, with a height of only one chi. However, its descent gave off the feeling of a mountain bearing down on those beneath it.

The armour on three cultivators burst and they began bleeding from their seven orifices. In the face of the pressure brought forth by the Longevity Tower, the power of the Divine artifact on their bodies instantly dissipated. Due to that, it became even harder to hold on. Although they were already going all out, their bodies kept shrinking.

“A bunch of morons!” Chen Feng scoffed.

The Longevity Tower had devoured a high-grade Immortal artifact in the past. In recent years, it had been in a constant state of slumber, where it continuously refined, absorbed and fused with the Immortal artifact. While the Longevity Tower remained at the normal Immortal tier, the offensive power that it was capable of unleashing was not something that could be gauged with common sense.

With the exception of helping others grow stronger, the Longevity Tower had rarely taken action lately. Even so, Chen Feng, who had a close connection with it, had a faint idea of how strong the Longevity Tower was.

At the very least, these three starter-level Ascendant Immortals who were relying on the support of their Divine artifact would not be able to defend against the Longevity Tower. As expected, with just one attack, the three cultivators were grievously wounded.

Driving away the power of darkness, the flames then disappeared and Heavenly Premier Ninelink’s team of three re-appeared before them.

“Undying Talismans!” Chen Feng and Bi Qing cried out loudly at the same time.

“To think that the three of them would possess such items! Could those be gifts from the Immortal Plane? However, those are not the kind of items that the average cultivator in the Immortal Plane could afford to bring out.”

“What is it about those three that the Immortal Plane would value them so much? Or perhaps, the three of them had managed to acquire the talismans by luck. Still, even though the Undying Talismans are wondrous objects, they can only be used once. They’ll die for real next time.”

The Dark Kirin had unleashed his full power for the sneak attack only to fail to kill them. This result shocked him. That said, he did not falter. Instead, he attacked Heavenly Premier Ninelink’s team of three again.

The Dark Kirin thought to himself, I failed to kill you just now. So, I will just attack again. Let’s see how long you can endure.

Speaking of which, the Dark Kirin was indeed very strong. Although Heavenly Premier Ninelink’s team of three was prepared this time, they were sent flying once again. This time, however, they were not as badly wounded. Rather, they only sustained some minor injuries.

“We’re better off just thinking of a way to escape.” Tower’s reply was very direct.

“How confident are you about that?”

“For now, I do not know.” After Tower said that, the Longevity Tower thrummed and two streams of golden light flew out before transforming into whips. One flew into Chen Feng’s grasp while the other flew into Bi Qing’s grasp.

“Those are Longevity Whips, created using True laws and a bit of the blood essence from the True Immortal that we killed last time. Heh! Without these things, I would have no idea how we should charge out.” Tower chuckled.

“That’s right, we still have those things! How did I forget?” Chen Feng grew elated.

The blood essence left behind by a True Immortal possessed world-annihilating powers. By using secret techniques to drive this power within it, an even greater power could be unleashed. Hearing what Tower said, Chen Feng grew emboldened.

If Chen Feng’s performance after obtaining the Longevity Whip was like one who had received the assistance of Gods, Bi Qing became like a tiger that had grown wings. Bi Qing was a Heavenly Immortal. He knew all too well how to unleash the power of True laws. Upon receiving the Longevity Whip, the first thing he did was to keep his sword. “I did hear that you fellows managed to kill off a True Immortal who came down here. Looks like it is true,” a Lightning Plane cultivator said solemnly.

“You’re very well-informed. I wonder, have you made any preparations to deal with this?” Chen Feng said with a derisive grin. Even though Chen Feng’s side had managed to kill off several Ascendant Immortals, they had also sustained losses on their side. Most importantly, it would appear that the damage to Heavenly Firmaments Palace did not appear significant.

“If so, just attack! So many of your guys have died, who knows who will die next?” Chen Feng did not hesitate. With a wave of his hand, the Longevity Whip swiped forward to attack another cultivator.

The Longevity Whip roared, but as it lashed forward, its momentum grew increasingly weak. Cracks spread out across space and a heavy and viscous force bore down on the Longevity Whip before pushing forward, moving towards Chen Feng’s group. It felt like a mountain surging towards a group of ordinary humans. Even the Dark Kirin had to keep giving ground.

“They’re directly using their Divine artifact for an attack! Quite despicable,” Chen Feng shouted as he brought the Dark Kirin, Heavenly Premier Absolute and Heavenly Premier Eternal inside the Longevity Tower.

Chen Feng and Bi Qing took action simultaneously, swinging the Longevity Whips to create rampaging silhouettes of golden-coloured whips for the sake of fighting back against the force coming at them from their surroundings.

The cultivators from the Boltfiend Clan and the others did not simply do nothing. While they were not directly taking action, they were linking up to the Divine Wilderness Temple, mobilizing the Divine artifact’s power to suppress Chen Feng and the others.

They had their own objective. Killing off Chen Feng’s group was not the ultimate objective here. Their true objective was to obtain the Longevity Tower. If the Longevity Tower could recover its full might, it would become an existence surpassing the Divine Wilderness Temple.
