When the altar first radiated the bloody light to encase the four Ascendant Immortals within, the four of them had not given it much thought. However, when they attempted to leave, they finally realized that something had happened. They were incapable of charging out. It was as though the bloody light around them contained a wondrous power, one that could easily stop the attacks of Ascendant Immortals.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

All four of them attacked the layer of bloody light at the same time, but the light reflected their attacks back at them, seriously wounding all four of them as a result.

The blood-coloured spatial passageway had fully stabilized and beams of bloody light swiftly flew out from it. The layer of bloody light that had stopped the attacks from the Ascendant Immortals did not stop the bloody light from flying out.

In but half a breath’s worth of time, the beams of bloody light reached the surface of the Sky Pillars Mountain Range. After a brief moment, they then transformed into cultivators. Appearance wise, they appeared no different from the average cultivator, but their bodies emanated a thick energy of blood and malice. Even the depths of their eyes were flashing with bloody light.

They were none other than blood cultivators from the Blood Plane.

The moment they appeared, the blood cultivators started a bloodbath. They would kill anyone they encountered. To them, it did not matter if it was someone from Heavenly Firmaments Palace or the East Dragon Island Alliance. And thus, it did not take long before 10,000 plus blood cultivators spread out, akin to a sea of blood. Their charge caused the sky above to turn red.

“Sigh! We’ve been used.”

The four Ascendant Immortals who had opened up the spatial passageway shouted mournfully. They had only recently joined Heavenly Firmaments Palace. Unexpectedly, Heavenly Firmaments Palace would do this to them. Stuck inside the layer of bloody light with the altar, the four of them watched as an endless number of Blood Troopers and Blood Generals charged out from the passageway. Sensing the terrifying aura coming from the depths of the passageway, they knew that they were in serious danger.

“Calm down. The strongest blood cultivator coming out from this passageway is only at the Human Immortal stage. They are no threat to us. Perhaps we will be able to leave once the passageway disappears.”

“Yes. Heavenly Firmaments Palace did not set a trap for us. See? We’re doing just fine here.”

“No! I can sense a deep-seated feeling of dread. This is a form of premonition! Can you fellows not sense it?”

“What are you afraid of? We are Ascendant Immortals! Even if we have to charge our way into the Blood Plane, we would still be able to carve out a place to call our own.”

Suddenly, a clump of bloody light erupted from within the passageway to form a giant hand. With a swift grasping motion, the giant hand caught one of the four Ascendant Immortals and dragged him into the passageway, disappearing in an instant.

“The aura of a mid-level Ascendant Immortal!”

“This is bad! Join forces! Break a way out!”

Having witnessed how their companion was incapable of putting up even a shred of resistance against the giant hand, the remaining three Ascendant Immortals grew even more terrified. No, they practically went mad. And yet, no matter how much they attacked, they were incapable of breaking their way out.

It was clear as day by then. Heavenly Firmaments Palace had undoubtedly screwed them over. And yet, there was nothing they could do about it but fall into a state of dread and panic.

The giant blood-coloured hand appeared two more times and two more Ascendant Immortals were dragged into the passageway. The final Ascendant Immortal – due to the fear and pressure bearing down on him – lost it. He took the initiative to dive into the passageway. Like a fish dropped into the ocean, he disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Even so, the beams of bloody light flying out from the passageway did not diminish. Instead, it became increasingly high in number.

“What is going on?” By then, the Heavenly Premiers Everwind and Cavernous Void had noticed the bloody light radiating out from the valley. Additionally, the area illuminated by the bloody light was increasing.

“It looks like the blood cultivators from the Blood Plane.” After some time had passed, Heavenly Premier Everwind said, gnashing his teeth.

“How can there be blood cultivators here? Did Heavenly Firmaments Palace secretly ally itself with them?” Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void grew puzzled.

“Let’s go check it out!” After saying that, Heavenly Premier Everwind stretched out his index finger. With a popping sound, a drop of blood popped out. He smeared it on his glabella. Instantly, an eye appeared there. This was the Eye of Heaven, something that cultivators with high cultivation bases could cultivate out. This eye could see through falsehoods. Naturally, it was incomparable to the Magic Eye of Darkness and eye technique from the Longevity Scripture that Chen Feng was cultivating.

Even so, it was good enough to inspect what was happening within a radius of over hundreds of li. First, Heavenly Premier Everwind inspected the situation in the Sky Pillars Mountain Range. He instantly saw that the two Ascendant Immortals that Heavenly Firmaments Palace stationed there had left. Even some Earthen Immortals and Human Immortals were in the process of swiftly retreating. “This is bad! Someone opened the passageway into the Blood Plane! More than 100,000 blood cultivators have made their way through!” The Eye of Heaven on Heavenly Premier Everwind’s glabella had closed up and he appeared somewhat pale. It was unknown if it was due to how much energy he had used up for the Eye of Heaven or if it was due to dread.

“No questions are needed to know that Heavenly Firmaments Palace is the one who opened it. What a heinous move! The cultivators from the Blood Plane are ruthless fellows. More, they also have a terrible love for carnage. They are somewhat similar to the blood fiends of the Planar Battlefield. If enough of them enter Eternal World, it will translate into a calamity!” Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void’s face sank as well.

“Hurry, notify East Dragon Island! Also, have the hidden force come forward this instant! We need to go forward and figure a way to close the spatial passageway!” Heavenly Premier Everwind shouted.

The hidden force had instantly appeared. Patriarch Twin Devices led 100,000 cultivators with him to appear in mid-air. Half of the cultivators there were from East Dragon Island and Heavenly Sword Faction while the other half were from the other sects and forces.

“What happened? Why are there so many blood cultivators here?” Patriarch Twin Devices were quick to notice the bloody light enveloping the whole place.

“Someone opened the passageway to the Blood Plane! Let’s not waste time talking, we need to hurry up and attack! Kill these blood cultivators!” Seeing Patriarch Twin Devices appear, Heavenly Premier Everwind and Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void breathed a sigh of relief. Then, the two of them rushed underground at the same time.

However, it did not take long before they found an issue. While they did locate the altar, they were unable to make it past the blood-coloured barrier of light. They could not even enter, let alone close the passageway. Seeing the blood cultivators flying out non-stop from the passageway, they grew so anxious that they nearly lost their temper.

“Attack! Just kill all the blood cultivators who emerged from the passageway!” Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void decided to go with the simpler option. Grasping with his hand, over a hundred blood cultivators blew up. All of them met a terrible death.

“We’re taking action against cultivators from another world! Their lower cultivation levels don’t mean anything here!” Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void could see that the blood cultivators’ cultivation levels were not high. Thus, he could not stop feeling as though he was doing something wrong.

“Sigh, it’s probably not that simple.” As the situation had developed to this point, there was nothing else Heavenly Premier Everwind could do. With a wave of his hand, he sent a hurricane forward. The hurricane then began grinding down the blood cultivators.

It did not take long before the number of blood cultivators who fell to the two Heavenly Premiers reached 100,000. As the two of them were displaying their might, a clump of bloody light suddenly charged out from their blockade to reach the surface. After assuming human form, this blood cultivator fired out a punch to kill off a peak-level Human Immortal.

“Humph, an Earthen Immortal! I got careless!” There was a somewhat contorted expression on Heavenly Premier Everwind’s face. With a flick of his finger, a wind blade burst out from the ground to kill off the blood cultivator.

Next up, the blood cultivators coming out from the passageway grew increasingly strong and Earthen Immortals kept appearing. Although the two of them were still capable of handling it, their faces had turned grim.

“They are foreigners. By coming to our world, they will face restrictions, leading to them being unable to exert their full power here.” Heavenly Premier Everwind could only console himself that way.

“You can’t say that. At present, our world of cultivation is already in a highly chaotic state. If another foreign force enters the fray, it will become even more chaotic. Not to mention, these are blood cultivators from the Blood Plane. I suggest notifying Island Lord Chen,” Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void said.

On the surface, the cultivators from the East Dragon Island Alliance who were originally fighting against the cultivators from Heavenly Firmaments Palace found themselves fighting against the blood cultivators from the Blood Plane instead. In the beginning, they had assumed that the blood cultivators were the reinforcements from Heavenly Firmaments Palace. But it did not take long before the situation spiralled beyond Patriarch Twin Devices’ control.

A blood cultivator sent Marquis Scarletfire flying backwards, the blood flowing out from his body devoured by the blood cultivator. Following that, several blood cultivators besieged the wounded Marquis Scarletfire. Every single one of the blood cultivators had one special trait. They were fighting with all their strength, showing no fear towards death.

“Why are these guys fighting with such a crazed fervour?” Enduring his wounds, Marquis Scarletfire killed another blood cultivator, taking another wound as a result. If he hadn’t rapidly sealed up the wound, who knows just how much of his blood would be sucked away by his opponents.

Lan Ling rapidly appeared to kill off two of the blood cultivators there, relieving the situation for Marquis Scarletfire. However, even more blood cultivators surrounded them both. They were all at the Earthen Immortal stage.

At that very moment, Heavenly Premier Everwind and Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void were facing their own struggles. The strength of the cultivators emerging from the passageway was becoming increasingly high. Tens of blood cultivators – all at the Earthen Immortal stage – were surrounding the two Heavenly Premiers, unleashing various attacks at them. Due to this, the number of blood cultivators who could escape to the surface grew.

Suddenly, a drop of blood the size of a nail flew out from the spatial passageway before swiftly transforming into a handsome-looking cultivator. He wore blood-red robes and his pair of eyes were fiery-red in colour. It was an oddly bewitching look.

“This must be Eternal World. Although its level is a little low, it is quite decent.” After saying that, the handsome cultivator stepped forward to unleash a punch, which sent a wave of bloody light forward. In the face of this wave of bloody light, Heavenly Premier Everwind was forced to back away.

“Ascendant Immortal!” Heavenly Premier Everwind cried out in shock. He knew then that they were truly facing a crisis. All he could do was hope that Chen Feng would be able to arrive here in time.

“You guys can head out. I’ll handle these two.” The handsome cultivator strode forward to obstruct Heavenly Premier Everwind and Heavenly Premier Cavernous Void.

The two Heavenly Premiers exchanged glances.

“Work together to kill this person!”
