Although this attack seemed like an eye technique, there was the Soul Subduing Mantra hidden within it. This soul-type attack was even harder to defend against. Due to that, it was sometimes even more effective.

The three frontmost cultivators who were charging at Chen Feng fell prey to the technique and even the wyrms that they brought with them slowed down as a result. Chen Feng did not rush forward to attack. Instead, his fingers danced about and a stream of light rapidly unfurled to envelop the three cultivators, their wyrms alongside them.

The three cultivators were thus sealed inside the dimension, incapable of moving anytime soon. After that, Chen Feng’s figure moved in an arcing motion. Using the protection provided by the Magic Eyes of Darkness, Chen Feng then fired out a punch to send a lance-wielding cultivator flying.

On the other side, three cultivators who were riding their wyrms surrounded Chen Feng. The three wyrms then unleashed a breath of water, fire and lightning respectively at Chen Feng. As for the three cultivators, they sent out silky threads to seal up the surrounding space. The other cultivators attacked as well. One of them brandished a sword and slashed at Chen Feng while another cultivator’s eyes shone with light as he unleashed soul-type attacks against Chen Feng.

However, some of the cultivators there were even faster than them. Two of the cultivators there had managed to strike Chen Feng with their battle lances, but the Longevity Combat Armour blocked their attacks. At the same time, the blood-coloured runes on the Longevity Combat Armour became like raging flames and a formidable backlash sent the two lance-wielding cultivators flying away.

Following that, the water, fire and lightning breaths engulfed Chen Feng. But Chen Feng used only an instant to devour at least half of the power within the attacks. The power was then transformed and channelled into the Longevity Combat Armour. Due to that, the defensive power of the Longevity Combat Armour grew even stronger.

A sword hacked down against Chen Feng’s forehead, causing a small amount of blood to trickle down his forehead. Chen Feng then charged high up into the sky, breaking through the sealed space only for a chilling energy to slip into his sea of wisdom.

It was the enemy cultivator’s soul-type attack.

Although the Longevity Tower was presently not with Chen Feng, he did have other magic treasures on his person. The Treasured Ocean Pearl shook slightly and the soul power assailing his sea of wisdom was shattered.

“Good! Good! Well done, kid!” Bi Qing praised loudly.

It had been just a flash, but Chen Feng had already exchanged blows with 10 enemy cultivators. He killed one of them with the Blood Mustering Bead and even made use of the Longevity Dimension to seal up three of them. There were also the Longevity Combat Armour, Longevity Wings, Soul Subduing Mantra and Heavengulping Absorption Technique. In that brief moment, Chen Feng had displayed several secret techniques from the Longevity Scripture. Witnessing that, Bi Qing felt relieved.

He is able to cultivate so many of the Longevity Scripture’s secret techniques and use them all with such proficiency. There are not many in the Longevity Clan who could do something like this. Only, he had cultivated too many of them so they are not pure enough. Bi Qing knew then that Chen Feng should no longer have any issues with this tribulation.

Next up, Chen Feng relied on the speed boost provided by the Longevity Wings to kill off the three sealed enemy cultivators. As for the wyrms, they were devoured by the Blood Mustering Bead. This time’s harvest was simply too great. The Blood Mustering Bead would probably be able to level up to the mid-grade Immortal tier soon.

“This, this… am I hallucinating right now?” Patriarch Hegemon Sword exclaimed, rubbing his eyes as he did.

He was not the only one. The other Ascendant Immortals there were also shocked, their jaws wide open. Just earlier, Chen Feng had been besieged by the enemy cultivators only to seemingly transform into another person in the blink of an eye. Chen Feng knew then that he had successfully overcome his tribulation. Sensing the power palpitating vigorously within him, Chen Feng felt unsatisfied. He wanted even more cultivators to appear for him to kill.

Chen Feng had managed to obtain a great deal from this. The nine Poisonous Vileblood Wyrms inside the Blood Mustering Bead had also benefited greatly from this. They had managed to devour so many wyrms, all at the Ascendant Immortal stage. That said, while Chen Feng was there to oversee the situation, taking on all that power had still left the nine Poisonous Vileblood Wyrms in a half-dead state. As a result, however, their strength was rising continuously. Thinking about how he would have nine more helpers at the Ascendant Immortal stage soon, Chen Feng could not stop himself from laughing.

After successfully overcoming his tribulation, Chen Feng spent some time in outer space. Only after his cultivation level had stabilized did he return to East Dragon Island.

The battles they had to face were even more ferocious compared to the one it had against the East Dragon Island Alliance and Heavenly Firmaments Palace. Additionally, Heavenly Firmaments Palace also sent out some cultivators to take advantage of the situation.

Although the blood cultivators managed to seize some territories for themselves, it hadn’t been an easy battle for them. Rather, they lost a high number of blood cultivators in the process. The number of blood cultivators they had on their side was limited. With no way to replenish their numbers, every loss was permanent.
