It didn’t take long before the Dark Kirin too, shook his head.

“This probably leads to a separate space. I lost contact with my clone right after it entered the passageway. The clone is still there, though. It hasn’t encountered any danger.”

“What should we do now? Of all times for this passageway to appear, it appears now? The way I see it, there is a problem here,” Huo Yunlong said.

“However, in the face of this temptation, not entering to check it out leaves a feeling of reluctance.” Chen Feng also sent a strand of his divine sense into it, but it disappeared the moment it entered. Chen Feng was simply incapable of determining what was inside it.

“This mysterious space that we are in is already filled with an extremely high number of dangers. Going in there is just the equivalent of changing places,” the Dark Kirin said.

After pondering for a moment, Premier Golden Earth said, “I also want to enter and check it out.”

“If that’s the case, let’s enter together.” Chen Feng nodded and starlight flashed out to envelop them all before transforming into a mote of starlight. With a flash, it then entered the golden passageway.

A mysterious spatial power swept past the Bedazzling Star Map and the pseudo-Divine artifact shook violently for a moment before everything returned to a state of tranquillity. Next, they saw streams of spiritual energy gushing down like a river of stars.

“What a thick and pure spiritual energy! What is this place?”

Emerging from the pseudo-Divine artifact, they began inspecting their surroundings. There was solid ground beneath their feet and a grey-coloured sky above their heads. Lightning kept flashing about while some birds – giving off a ferocious aura – would occasionally fly past them.

“The concentration of the spiritual energy here exceeds the Immortal Plane, but it is somewhat jumbled up. I can sense an aura of wilderness here,” True Immortal Soulboost said.

“Could this be Wilderness World? It doesn’t feel that way to me.”

“We’ll figure it out once we investigate this place.” Huo Yunlong spread his divine sense into his surroundings and the aura of a True Immortal then moved to rapidly engulf the world.

Unexpectedly, though, Huo Yunlong’s actions ended up triggering the attacks from some surrounding birds and extra-terrestrial creatures.

“Be careful,” Chen Feng said.

“Hah!”

Huo Yunlong scoffed, his divine sense transforming into a drill to stab up at the birds up in the sky. Unexpectedly, the birds would abruptly speed up to instantly arrive above Huo Yunlong’s head. At the same time, the extra-terrestrial creatures running around also pounced forward.

“Eh?”

Huo Yunlong was somewhat surprised by that, but a sphere of flaming light spread out from his body and wretched cries rang out as the extra-terrestrial creatures and birds were incinerated to ash.

“The strength of an Ascendant Immortal. Interesting. Even some unassuming creatures would possess this level of strength. Next up, we will need to exercise caution,” Chen Feng said with a smile.

“It is indeed somewhat surprising. However, at this level, no matter how many of them comes, they will die all the same,” Huo Yunlong said contemptuously.

Huo Yunlong was quick to agree, but when he heard the rumbling sound coming from afar, his heart lurched.

A black line emerged from the distance, becoming increasingly thick to finally blot the sky while assailing it with endless howls and a bloodthirsty aura. As a result, the colour of the sky transformed and the earth quaked.

“Just some wolf yaos. They’re a piece of cake, right, Brother Huo?”

“Yes, they’re just some wolf yaos. Leave this to me!” Huo Yunlong nodded and took a step forward. With a punch, he sent a fire dragon forward, which bellowed as it instantly swept apart an entire stretch of the wolf yaos.

But even more wolf yaos charged forward, smashing into the fire dragon. After struggling against the wolf yaos for a moment, the fire dragon then dissipated away.

These wolf yaos that had appeared all of a sudden were more or less similar to the wolf yaos that they were used to seeing in the past. Only, the power and vitality inside their bodies left Chen Feng’s team highly shocked.

“One fire dragon managed to kill off a hundred wolf yaos. I had a look earlier. This wave of wolf yaos have over a million wolf yaos,” Chen Feng said.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thunder rumbled and the darkened sky suddenly flashed with golden light as a wave of flowing light approached. In but several breaths’ worth of time, they had enveloped the entire sky.

“Boltflash Eagles. Brother Huo, we’ll leave this to you too.” Chen Feng laughed.

“Not a problem!”

At that very moment, Huo Yunlong was completely wreathed in flames. Normally, a single punch from him would have been enough to shatter a planet. But here, his punch – aimed at the wolf yaos – was only able to create small ripples.

A careful look revealed that there were some formidable wolf yaos hidden within the pack of wolves.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

Sharp winds descended to form wind blades aimed at them all. Premier Golden Earth snorted and his hand elongated, transforming into a massive palm, which then grasped to shatter all the incoming attacks.

Premier Golden Earth was an extra-terrestrial creature at the True Immortal stage, possessing highly formidable defensive and offensive might. However, after shattering the attacks with his palm, Premier Golden Earth’s face abruptly sank. Several cuts had appeared on his palm. While they were nothing serious, the fact that the attacks could leave some cuts on his palm meant that the Boltflash Eagles were more than meets the eye.

“They’re all at the Ascendant Immortal stage.” Chen Feng stretched his hand out to perform a grasping move as well and the lightning attacks that descended this time were all devoured.

Next, the earth trembled and more creatures appeared. This time, it was a group of massive, ape-like yao beasts. From afar, it looked as though there were mountains moving. The violent and bloodthirsty aura they released filled the entire sky.

“Just what is this place?” Chen Feng waved and the Chaos Chain swirled around. Wherever it went, the mountainous ape yaos would be sent flying.

“Looks like this is really a land of wilderness. Anywhere else and these yao beasts would only be average, but here, they have become tens of thousands of times stronger than normal.”

“Actually, there is nothing particularly unusual here. The universe has many mysterious spaces, after all. This might just be a wilderness space that has existed for a long time.”

“Truth be told, I was thinking, what will we be able to gain by coming here?”

Huo Yunlong had already completely charged into the wolf pack, but some of the wolf yaos that appeared later on were able to face him head on.

“Let’s not get entangled with them. We’ll leave this place first,” Chen Feng said and made use of the Bedazzling Star Map. Starlight scattered about and the yao beasts that were right before him instantly disappeared.

“Let’s go!”

The Chaos Chain swirled forward to pull Huo Yunlong back. In truth, given their level of strength, defeating these extra-terrestrial creatures was not an issue. However, they had only just entered this place and had yet to gain a proper understanding of their present situation. It would be better for them to just leave for now to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.

As they charged forward, Chen Feng also collected some more of the extra-terrestrial creatures there. Just as they were about to leave, they caught sight of even more extra-terrestrial creatures coming from afar. In fact, there were even some auras that gave them a sense of danger.

One month later, Chen Feng and the others were finally able to obtain some general knowledge about this place.

They had determined that this was not actually Wilderness World, but it possessed an aura of wilderness than surpassed Wilderness World. By their estimate, even if this world was not as old as Eternal World, it should be quite close.

However, the grand dao laws of this world were somewhat unique and the extra-terrestrial creatures inhabiting this world were very strong. During the past month, they’d had several dangerous encounters. That was particularly so for their last one, where they had to join forces to kill off a peculiar extra-terrestrial creature. And while they did succeed, Huo Yunlong was badly wounded as a result.

“It’s been one month. We have not met a single human cultivator.”

“Even starter-level True Immortals would die here. Moreover, I have been sensing this faint feeling of danger. And yet, I just couldn’t pinpoint where this feeling is coming from.”

“With the exception of the inner cores of some extra-terrestrial creatures, we haven’t had any gains so far.”

Chen Feng and the others had chosen to stop at a mountain. The mountain, consisting of metallic stones, was so tall that its peak reached the firmament. The blade-like strong winds from its surroundings were only capable of leaving some shallow marks upon its surface.

Somewhere not far away from them was a lightning pond. Lightning powers had been continuously descending from the dark-grey sky for who knows how long, leading to the creation of a furiously roiling lightning pond at the topmost peak of the mountain.

“This lightning pond contains several types of lightning powers. The extra-terrestrial creature that was thrown in earlier managed to endure for one breath’s worth of time. For True Immortals, this is a challenge.”

“This is indeed a good place to cultivate the fleshly body. However, I am not interested in this.”

“I want to cultivate here for a while,” Chen Feng suddenly said. Following that, he walked into the lightning pond. The lightning waters jumped about and rumbled as the sky took on a different colour. Seeing that caused Huo Yunlong to tremble slightly.

“This kid is really monstrous. He has only just advanced to the Ascendant Immortal stage, but the might of his fleshly body is already comparable to that of a True Immortal. Fellows, I will go explore around first. Bye.” Huo Yunlong shook his head and took the lead to leave.

This world was very big. Although they had yet to gain anything so far, they did not believe that there wasn’t anything good in such a mysterious place.

Premier Golden Earth and the Dark Kirin left as well. True Immortal Soulboost, on the other hand, hesitated for a moment before seating himself down somewhere far away to keep guard over Chen Feng.

“You should go as well.” Chen Feng’s voice rang out from the lightning pond.

“Yes!”

True Immortal Soulboost nodded and his figure flashed, disappearing from sight.

Chen Feng sat inside the lightning pond, not utilizing any primary energy or magic powers for it, Instead, he simply allowed the lightning powers there to enter his body, tempering his bones and bombarding his flesh.

The destructive power within the lightning pond was even greater than Chen Feng’s expectations and his fleshly body would shudder over 10,000 times with every passing minute.

The lightning powers here are even stronger than the Heavenly Tribulation I had to face. I wonder, how was this place formed? Chen Feng wondered.

Pa! Pa! Pa! Pa!

Finally, cracks began appearing on Chen Feng’s body. Eventually, even his internal organs were affected and they began disintegrating. However, Chen Feng’s bones remained firm.

The cracks spreading all across Chen Feng’s body reached a certain point and it seemed as though his fleshly body would shatter apart the very next moment.

Chen Feng’s flesh burst outwards to reveal his skeleton, but before his flesh could disperse, a sphere of light, formed from the longevity-type primary energy, spread out to completely encase Chen Feng. When the sphere of light finally faded away, Chen Feng’s body had completely recovered. More, his fleshly body had become even stronger.

That said, despite being a veteran of a hundred battles and someone who had experienced this before, Chen Feng was almost incapable of enduring it.

After enduring for a while longer, Chen Feng’s flesh burst out again only to quickly make a full recovery once more thanks to the longevity-type primary energy. During that time, Chen Feng’s soul flame kept burning. Occasionally, some of the lightning powers would be absorbed into his sea of wisdom where his soul flame would refine them.

After the hundredth time of bodily explosion, magic treasures began flying out from Chen Feng’s body to hover according to a certain pattern within the lightning pond. As for Chen Feng, he swiftly formed one hand seal after another. Precious spirit stones and materials also flew out to fuse with the magic treasures. He wanted to refine them.
