It was unknown just how long they spent descending. Given how far down they had gone, they could even pierce through a planet.

“No wonder those fellows did not stop us. They wanted to reap the benefits from our efforts.” Chen Feng scoffed. Behind them, the cultivators who were besieging the ape-type extra-terrestrial creature earlier were descending using the path created by the Bedazzling Star Map.

“If so, I’ll create some obstructions for them,” the Dark Kirin said, employing a secret technique. Next, clumps of black shadows emerged behind the pseudo-Divine artifact to occupy the spaces that used have restrictive arrays.

“What are those?” Huo Yunlong asked curiously.

“You’ll know soon enough.” The Dark Kirin revealed a mysterious smile.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

It did not take long before the sounds of explosions rang out from behind them. They were accompanied by the wretched cries of some cultivators.

“Black-veiled Lightning Beads!” Chen Feng cast a shocked look at the Dark Kirin. It was one of the secret techniques recorded within the Dark Scripture.

Every elemental power had the ability to create lightning, be it fire or wind. However, creating lightning using other elemental powers was not something that the average cultivator could accomplish. Take Huo Yunlong for example. He cultivated a pure power of fire and possessed a cultivation base at the True Immortal stage, but he was still incapable of creating Fire Lightning.

Looks like the Dark Kirin’s cultivation base has improved again, Chen Feng thought. Even though the Dark Kirin’s actions of creating the Black-veiled Lightning Beads appeared somewhat inexperienced, the beads were already capable of wounding True Immortals. Rather, one careless mistake would cause a starter-level True Immortal to die to the Black-veiled Lightning Beads.

“A pity, I only managed to create 100 beads. Still, they’ll be enough to give them a good time,” the Dark Kirin said as more Black-veiled Lightning Beads flew out to take the place of the broken restrictive arrays.

Chen Feng shook his head. Huo Yunlong’s cultivation talent was quite good. As someone who had fused with the Seed of the Fire Essence, his future was immeasurably bright. Only, it hadn’t been too long since he advanced to the True Immortal stage. Additionally, he also did not have any highly spectacular legacy on his person. However, Chen Feng’s team did not become overjoyed. A colossal hand – formed from the power of darkness – had appeared before them. With a grasping move, it caused space to surge and the resulting turbulent spatial streams caused the Bedazzling Star Map to shake. After that, the colossal hand took the form of a fist to release a furious punch at the Bedazzling Star Map, sending it flying backwards.

“What a powerful attack!” Chen Feng’s eyes flashed with light and starlight flowed out. The starlight then transformed into a river of stars to launch a ferocious assault upon the colossal hand, forcing it to give ground, again and again.

“Seal!”

The Dark Kirin uttered and the Dark Scripture shone with a dazzling black light, which transformed into a large ‘seal’ character. Due to that, the colossal hand that was radiating an atmosphere of unparalleled imperiousness instantly froze before the Dark Scripture collected it.

“Who did that? I don’t think the Spiritual Fountain of Darkness is behind the attack,” Chen Feng said.

“Someone is standing guard over the Spiritual Fountain of Darkness.”

“Heavengulping Darkness!”

A roaring voice rang out to shake their souls. Even though they were inside a pseudo-Divine artifact, Chen Feng’s team could still feel their souls shaking somewhat.

Space shook and collapsed. The power of darkness around them surged with a rumbling sound to finally form a massive, black-coloured skull. Then, the skull opened its mouth in an attempt to devour Chen Feng’s team of three.

The Bedazzling Star Map’s descent came to an abrupt halt as the skull’s suction force enveloped it. Next, the invisible power invaded the pseudo-Divine artifact, causing all the laws within it to fall into a state of turmoil.

“What an overbearing move!” Chen Feng exclaimed. The other party was actually trying to devour his pseudo-Divine artifact whole. This was a terrifying sight.

“Slaughter!”

Sword energy shot out to pierce a hole through the black skull only for the hole to instantly close up. At the same time, its devouring power grew stronger and it gulped down the Bedazzling Star Map the very next instant.

“Charge out!”

Starlight flashed to pierce the curtain of darkness around them non-stop, but they were incapable of breaking free. Additionally, the curtain’s power of darkness was becoming increasingly strong. Due to that, even the cultivators who were cultivating inside the Bedazzling Star Map could sense the world becoming dark.

“The other party is truly strong. Any other cultivator would have been incapable of breaking free from this. Chen Feng, let’s work together to mobilize the Dark Scripture. I will devour every bit of this power of darkness.” The Dark Kirin was the owner of the Dark Scripture and the future ruler of the Dark Plane. If someone could utilize the power of darkness to entrap him, he would become a laughing stock in the future.

Weng!

The Dark Scripture slowly floated out. Chen Feng and the Dark Kirin’s power flowed into it and it opened up. Next, runes flowed out to promptly disappear into the surrounding space.

“Collect!”

The Dark Kirin shouted and a black hole silently appeared upon the Dark Scripture. It retained an atmosphere of calmness, yet also capable of inspiring dread in others. Despite not giving off any violent ruckus, it was capable of devouring all life.

Vast amounts of the power of darkness were pulled over, transforming into streams of black river before entering the black hole.

At the same time, the power of darkness wrapping up the Bedazzling Star Map began weakening. A high number of cracks could be seen spreading out across the surface of the black skull and it became thinner.

“The Dark Scripture!”

A shocked voice rang out from deep underground. Next, however, more power of darkness surged forward and the surrounding space, stretching up to a distance of 10 million li, fell into a state of turmoil.

“As expected, someone is hiding down there. No, it is a creature of darkness.”

“More than one.”

“No matter what it may be. As long as they cultivate the power of darkness, they will have to become nourishment for the Dark Scripture.” After having absorbed a great deal of the power of darkness, the Dark Scripture began displaying its might and some of the seals placed upon it began loosening.

“You guys are dead!” The cultivators from the Icy Frost Order and Sun Moon Faction finally caught up to them. There were two mid-level True Immortals in the lead and several starter-level True Immortals behind them.

“Hand over all the magic treasures on you and you can preserve your lives today!”

“It doesn’t matter where you fellows are from. Now that you have offended our Seven Orders and Six Factions, no matter how big the universe may be, there will be no place for you to hide. If you know what’s good for you, hurry up and hand over the items on you and quickly beg for mercy. That way, you might be able to survive.”

“Those guys talk too much. I really want to just turn back and fight them,” Huo Yunlong said unhappily.

“If you do that, you will surely die.” Chen Feng smiled.

“There are experts in the front and back. We do not yet know what is happening and we also do not have a clear direction. I sense great danger.” Having dealt with the black skull, the Dark Kirin summoned back the Dark Scripture. There was a faint, black-coloured light encasing it. Occasionally, rumbling sounds would ring out from it. It was as though a great power was recovering its might.

“The number of cultivators behind us is high and they possess formidable combat powers, sure. However, when compared to the danger in front, they should be easier to handle.” Chen Feng was also mobilizing the Primary Spirit Diagram of First Origin, albeit secretly. Even so, he could still faintly sense danger.

“There must surely be an expert up ahead.” As Chen Feng pondered, another great hand came at them from the front, ripping through the ground as it did to grasp at the Dark Scripture in the Dark Kirin’s hand. The human cultivators behind them also suddenly attacked. They wanted to launch a pincer attack to seriously wound Chen Feng’s team in one fell swoop.

“This alone is not enough against us!” Chen Feng’s insight acupoints released rumbling sounds as they burst forth with their strongest might. Starlight flashed and the three of them disappeared.

As a result, the great hand collided against the attacks from the human cultivators and the ground cracked. Even space was overturned.

“Where did the kid go to?”

“Not good!”

The cultivators from the Icy Frost Order and Sun Moon Faction exclaimed. All they saw was a mote of starlight flashing before their eyes before two starter-level True Immortals were pierced by the starlight.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

The two mid-level True Immortals did not panic. Instead, they utilized a void-sealing technique to seal up the surrounding space, desirous of imprisoning the mote of starlight. However, the mote of starlight was like a speeding meteor, smashing its way through the obstructions and attacks from the other party before disappearing from sight with a flash.

“A pseudo-Divine artifact! We must capture them!” The faces of the two mid-level True Immortals turned somewhat ugly to behold. After exchanging glances, they then brought out their magic treasures.

The magic treasure from the Icy Frost Order was a transparent and circular disc. At a glance, it looked like something carved out from ice. An eye-piercing light shone from it and white balls then fired out from it.

“Oh, no! It’s XXXs!”

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Those things were at the same level as the Black-veiled Lightning Beads that the Dark Kirin had utilized earlier. After their powers reached a certain limit, these elemental powers would undergo a wondrous transformation and their powers would become hundreds of times stronger.

Back then, the Black-veiled Lightning Beads that the Dark Kirin sent out were able to inflict some damage upon the other party. But now, the other party was firing out so many of these objects at them in such a short span of time. Seeing that caused Chen Feng’s hairs to stand on end.

“Let’s go!”

The power within Chen Feng’s body burst out like a flash flood and the Bedazzling Star Map’s power grew stronger. It flashed about to evade the enemy attack.

It was then that the Sun Mooon Faction utilized their secret technique. A XXX sun and a waning crescent moon appeared at the same time. The sun shone with a light capable of illuminating the whole universe, making it impossible for Chen Feng’s team of three to hide. Meanwhile, the crescent moon transformed into beams of light which easily sliced through space to attack them.

“The ice mirror, sun and moon are not pseudo-Divine artifacts. However, they are still top-grade Immortal artifacts. Also, the other party is capable of unleashing their full power. This is bad.” Chen Feng was already giving it his all, but he was still incapable of utilizing the full power of the pseudo-Divine artifact.

“Unseal!”

The Dark Kirin suddenly spat out a clump of black blood, which fell upon the Dark Scripture. As a result, the Dark Scripture, something that had existed for countless years, abruptly fell still. Not a single wave of energy fluctuations emerged from it. It became like a most ordinary scripture. Next, however, a black halo of light flashed out and the Dark Scripture became like a wild animal, roaring loudly.

Wherever the black halo of light went, space would be annihilated. The XXXs and crescent moons that the enemy fired out disappeared without making a single sound. The black halo of light could seemingly erode all energy and matter.

Before the cultivators from the Icy Frost Order and Sun Moon Faction could even grow shocked, a second black-coloured halo of light had shot out.

“Oh, no! Hurry up and run!”

By then, all of them had realized that the situation did not bode well for them. Their faces sank sharply and they resorted to various methods to either escape or block the incoming halo of light.
