《Everlasting》Chapter 1105 Six Daos Sword Faction

“This fellow sure is gutsy.”
“To think that the Longevity Tower has already recovered to this level.”
“Hurry up and chase! The longer we wait, the worse it will be for us.”
…
After entering the Longevity Tower, Chen Feng saw a stretch of bloody mist converging swiftly. However, due to the Longevity Tower’s power, it was very hard for the bloody mist to retake human shape.
Without so much as a word, Chen Feng stepped forward to fire out a punch, blowing up the bloody mist. Then, the Blood Mustering Bead flew out. Even the blood wyrms that were cultivating inside it began roaring.
“Chen Feng, you cannot kill me!”
“Now that it’s come to this, you can still try to bluff? Where do you think you are right now? This is the Longevity Tower. Trying to harm a member of the imperial family and scheming to snatch the Longevity Tower, do you know how heavy these crimes are?” Chen Feng said with a derisive grin, the Blood Mustering Bead in his hand devouring the other party’s blood essence non-stop.
“The nine familial extermination. Your souls will be thrown into the furnace and burned through day and night, to suffer for all eternity!” Chen Feng suddenly shouted and an aura of majesty, one that he had never revealed before, spread outwards.
Sensing this aura of majesty, the stretch of bloody mist that had been struggling to reform a body suddenly shook. The young cultivator had seemingly only just remembered Chen Feng’s identity. Regardless if they could kill off Chen Feng or not, if news of this were to spread out, he would suffer a fate worse than death.
“Now you’re feeling fearful? Too late! I will pull out your soul! Your family members, your relatives, your friends, all will have to pay the price for your actions!” As Chen Feng spoke, his face turned icy. He had long since known that he would face something like this. But to actually be hunted down by his own clansmen, the rage within him burned, growing beyond his control.
“Kill me! Kill me!” The young cultivator began begging for mercy, but that was all he could say.
“Kill you? Naturally. You will be the first. Every single one of you who came after me must die,” Chen Feng said.
“Ha ha ha ha ha! With your powers alone? You’re dreaming!” The young cultivator who had been screaming wretchedly suddenly laughed.
“If I can kill one, I can kill a second. Besides, that uncle of mine in the Celestial Longevity Plane is still not able to control everything.
“Back then, they failed to kill me. Next up, it’s time I retaliate.”
Chen Feng then stopped talking. The young cultivator was a mid-level Heavenly Immortal, after all. Chen Feng devoured 30% of the young cultivator’s essence power while the rest went to Tower. Next up, Tower would need to utilize some secret techniques to deal with their formidable foes.
“Did we manage to shake them off?” Chen Feng asked.
“For now. However, it is just a matter of time before they find us.” As the number one Divine artifact of the Celestial Longevity Plane, Tower was very familiar with the various methods that the cultivators from the Longevity Clan had at their disposal.
“Although we have entered the Immortal Plane, we now need to prioritize finding a place to cultivate. The Immortal Plane. From certain aspects, it has already surpassed the various Celestial Planes.” Chen Feng was aware of the urgency of his situation. There was no telling when those pursuers would be able to track him down.

I need to find a backer, Chen Feng thought.
And so, Chen Feng retracted his aura and began roaming the Immortal Plane. Several times, his pursuers had nearly found him. To Chen Feng’s chagrin, he found that the number of pursuers was increasing. More, some stronger characters had appeared. If it weren’t for Tower, who utilized a secret technique to conceal his aura, the other party would have divined out his whereabouts.
“Even though I can utilize the Heaven-shrouding Technique, these fellows are from the Celestial Longevity Plane. This is quite troublesome.” Tower’s voice sounded casual, but Chen Feng could sense that the situation had become even more dire.
If he could not come up with a plan soon, those pursuers would find him.
And so, Chen Feng grew increasingly concerned.
Following that, though, Chen Feng inadvertently came across a piece of news, which changed his plans.
The centennial disciple-recruitment event of the Six Daos Sword Faction was coming.
Hearing that, Chen Feng felt moved. He knew quite a bit about the Six Daos Sword Faction.
The Six Daos Sword Faction was a very ancient sect in the Immortal Plane. Once in the past, it had been a very famous sect, boasting a good number of experts and formidable cultivators. Back then, its name was not the Six Daos Sword Faction, but the Six Daos Divine Palace. During its prime, it could even defy – to a certain extent – the orders from the Immortal Court. Only, due to the ravages of time and various difficulties, the overall strength of the sect plummeted. No longer capable of upholding the title of the Six Daos Divine Palace, it then changed its name to the Six Daos Sword Faction.
Chen Feng, though, also knew that this matter had a lot to do with the loss of their sect guardian treasure, the Primordial Scripture of the Six Daos.
That said, while the Six Daos Sword Faction no longer possessed the power it had in the past, it was still one of the oldest sects in the Immortal Plane. It had quite the foundation. In Chen Feng’s opinion, not even 100 Iron Blood Alliances combined could match the might of the Six Daos Sword Faction.
For Chen Feng, this was the best hiding spot. And so, Chen Feng utilized a world-transforming secret technique to change his appearance. By joining the Six Daos Sword Faction, his pursuers would have an even harder time finding him.
More, Chen Feng was also confident that – with this secret technique – cultivators beneath the Gold Immortal stage will not be able to see through his disguise. Besides, whether or not there were any Gold Immortals in the Six Daos Sword Faction was another question in itself. Additionally, only the master of the Celestial Longevity Plane would be able to swiftly see through him.
However, thinking about it caused Chen Feng to feel somewhat vexed. He possessed the Longevity Tower, had re-cultivated out his Chaos Constitution and was also one of the most high-born members of the imperial family. For the other cultivators in the Celestial Longevity Plane, facing him would bring down an atmosphere of noble suppression upon them. But his pursuers this time were simply too strong. More, they were also members of the imperial family, with a lineage that was not too inferior compared to him. Due to that, Chen Feng’s advantage over them was greatly diminished.

When the Longevity Tower recovers its strength, you fellows are in for it! Chen Feng swore.
“Greetings, everyone. My name is Chen Qing.” Chen Feng was dressed completely in cyan clothes, with a sword slung across his back. The aura of an immortal he exuded and his genial smile gave others a comfortable feeling.
“Greetings, greetings. Fellow cultivator, you are also here to join the Six Daos Sword Faction? Where do you usually cultivate?”
“Thanks for the gesture. I would usually cultivate in the Mountains and Rivers Domain. Lately, though, the Mountains and Rivers Alliance and Iron Blood Alliance has been fighting one another fiercely. Due to that, I had to leave and find another place to cultivate.”
“What a coincidence! My name is Patron Mountriver. I am also from the Mountains and Rivers Domain. In the future, when we make it into the Six Daos Sword Faction, we will have to support one another.”
“Of course.” Chen Feng felt a thump in his heart. Unexpectedly, this person was also from the Mountains and Rivers Domain. Thankfully, the Mountains and Rivers Domain was very big, with many cultivators within it. Due to that, Patron Mountriver did not doubt Chen Feng.
“Fellows, don’t be careless. Many loose cultivators have come this time. There is a limit to how many disciples the Six Daos Sword Faction would accept. Who knows how fierce the competition will be? Moreover, I heard that this time’s assessment is far more strict compared to the past.
“Sigh! Recently, our Immortal Plane has been fighting wars all over the place. Even our Easternmost Region is constantly in a state of turmoil. This world is becoming increasingly chaotic. I can’t even find a good place to cultivate.”
And so, Chen Feng successfully blended himself into a large group of loose cultivators and arrived at the Six Daos Sword Faction.
This time, the Six Daos Sword Faction’s target recruits were these loose cultivators. They were either Ascendant Immortals or True Immortals.
Chen Feng felt his heart stirring. For Eternal World and many other worlds, Ascendant Immortals were already the pinnacle existence. But here, being an Ascendant Immortal was just the bare minimum.
The Six Daos Sword Faction was headquartered in the Primordial Mountain Range. It was a famed immortal mountain with a spirit vein in the Immortal Plane. In the past, all of it was under the Six Daos Sword Faction. At present, however, due to the serious loss in its strength, parts of the mountain range had been taken over by other forces.
The Primordial Mountain Range was just one of many mountain ranges within the Immortal Plane. For Chen Feng, though, this mountain range was comparable to a star region. Chen Feng could not even tell just how many times bigger this mountain range was when compared to Eternal World.
Chen Feng was grouped up with five other True Immortals and given a beautiful courtyard. The Six Daos Sword Faction showed quite a warm reception towards these True Immortals.
They were able to chat with one another well enough. However, Chen Feng could see that there was an ambiguous distance between each of them. At any rate, they might have to become rivals for the assessment to enter the Six Daos Sword Faction.
Chen Feng sighed. He had zero doubts in his ability to enter the Six Daos Sword Faction. He was already at the True Immortal stage. There was no need to hide that fact. But compared to him, the other five True Immortals were too weak. Given Chen Feng’s present level of strength, he could even kill off a Heavenly Immortal.
And so, after having a chat with them, Chen Feng stayed in his building to quietly cultivate himself. There was still some time left before the entrance assessment began.
The moment Chen Feng stepped foot into the Primordial Mountain Range, the pressure that had been pressing down on him suddenly disappeared. Sensing that, Chen Feng knew that he had made the right choice.
As Chen Feng chose to cultivate himself, the others staying in the courtyard did not simply stay idle. Two of them quietly appeared in the open area of the courtyard. After a brief pause, they then disappeared from sight.
Chen Feng opened his eyes, a look of understanding flashing across them. After that, he continued with his cultivation session. Not long after that, one of the two cultivators returned in a sorry state before entering his own building. He never came back out.
Suddenly, a stream of faint cyan-coloured smoke wafted over to enter every single one of the buildings in the courtyard.
So, the assessment has begun. But this is just killing and assassinating each other. Chen Feng sighed and he sucked in all the cyan-coloured smoke that entered his room.
What a potent poison! I wonder, did anyone fall for it? Chen Feng remained immobile. Poison at this level was nothing to Chen Feng.
A wretched cry rang out from the building belonging to the wounded cultivator. Without even checking, Chen Feng knew that the wounded cultivator was likely not going to make it.
A black-clad cultivator, wielding a blade, entered the courtyard, Swiftly, he entered one of the building there and the sounds of struggle faded as swiftly as it erupted.
The black-clad cultivator re-appeared. This time, he entered Patron Mountriver’s building.
Chen Feng sighed and a glint of spiritual light flowed out from his closed eyes. The black-clad cultivator who was just about to kill off Patron Mountriver suddenly heard a sigh coming from within the depths of his heart. It was as though a lightning bolt had struck him and an unprecedented feeling of danger surged to his mind. The black-clad cultivator was quick to make up his mind. Giving up on Patron Mountriver, he quickly ran away from the courtyard.
Patron Mountriver, who had managed to escape death, did not even bother to heal his wounds before coming to stand before Chen Feng’s building, where he bowed respectfully.
“Thank you for saving me.”
“It’s nothing big. We’ve already said before, we will support one another,” Chen Feng replied.
After just one night, only three people remained in their small courtyard. The brutal nature of the competition caused Chen Feng to grin to himself.
By then, Patron Mountriver and the other cultivator, known as the Dragon Slaying Daoist, had found out that Chen Feng was a hidden expert. Due to that, the somewhat arrogant Dragon Slaying Daoist became somewhat more restrained.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
