《Everlasting》Chapter 1144 Breaking Out from the Ambush

“Fellows, you should leave now. Someone is coming,” Chen Feng said, smiling.
“Even if someone comes, we will not leave. We will let them know how determined we are.”
Despite what they said, Chen Feng could still sense the feelings of guilt within them.
At the end of the day, these fellows were all under the Six Daos Sword Faction. They needed to obey the orders of the Six Daos Sword Faction.
The one who came was not Sword Premier Demolisher. Instead, it was the Sword Premiers Triskill.
The Sword Premiers Triskill was made up of three cultivators. They were Sword Premier Heavensmark, Sword Premier Earthfault and Sword Premier Human Cycle. Back then, it was these three who had gone over to Chen Feng’s grotto-mansion.
Their titles were very overbearing. However, their cultivation bases were not the strongest amongst the high-level Heavenly Immortals, else Sword Premier Demolisher would not have been the leader of their group.
The three of them had their own reasons for visiting Chen Feng. Only, when they saw so many other cultivators in Chen Feng’s small courtyard, their faces immediately darkened. Rather, it felt somewhat awkward.
“What are you fellows gathering up here for? We have something to discuss with Chen Qing. You fellows, leave first.” While they were polite to Chen Feng, their attitude towards the others was a different matter.
“Naturally, we came looking for Senior Brother Chen because we have important matters to discuss with him,” one of them drummed up the courage to say.
“Whatever it may be, you can discuss it later. Now, leave first,” Sword Premier Heavensmark’s voice turned icy. As expected, the other cultivators were no longer able to stay. One by one, they got up in an embarrassed manner and bade Chen Feng farewell.
Sigh, these fellows really lack backbones. Thinking it about it, it makes sense. They joined the Six Daos Sword Faction as loose cultivators. Thus, they are relying on the Six Daos Sword Faction as their backer. They would not do something that would affect their future. Chen Feng was secretly shaking his head.
“Greetings, fellow cultivator.” After the other cultivators had left, the faces of the three Sword Premiers turned respectful. First, they nodded to Chen Feng. Then, they gave Tie Zhen, who was standing beside him, a salute.
“Greetings.”
Tie Zhen simply nodded back, not saying anything. As for Chen Feng, the corners of his lips curled up and he said, “Fellow seniors, what is it?”
“It’s nothing. We are just here for a walk.” Sword Premier Heavensmark said with a smile, not feeling upset at Tie Zhen’s display of indifference.
After chatting for a bit, the three of them left. They had not forwarded any noteworthy questions. It would appear that they were truly just out for a stroll.
“The feelings of suppression they received from Tie Zhen back then was too strong. They came here for reconciliation purposes,” Chen Feng said with a smirk.
“Young Master, we’ll have to be careful for this trip. Once we participate in this war, it becomes easier for those from the Limitless Corps to notice us,” Tie Zhen reminded Chen Feng.

“We’ll just have to be careful.” Chen Feng was not too worried about it. Unless a half-step Gold Immortal took action, there was nothing to worry about.
Bang!
Suddenly, the Divine-tier warship that they were on shook. It felt as though they had struck something. That something was very strong, causing the speed of the warship to immediately slow down.
Chen Feng’s divine sense spread out and he saw energy streams flowing in a disorderly manner inside the warship. Due to that, some of the buildings became damaged.
“An attack from high-level Heavenly Immortals,” Tie Zhen said solemnly.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Tie Zhen had only just said that when a series of banging sounds rang out. The Skysoar Warship activated some of its magic arrays to stop the energy streams from invading it. However, the attacks had succeeded in utterly stopping its advance.
“We haven’t even arrived at the battlefield, but they have already targeted us. The enemy attacks contain the explosive power of meteors and asteroids. Given how high the power of stars is, the other party is clearly from the Starsource Order. Tie Zhen, head out and observe. Help out if the situation does not look good.” Chen Feng chuckled.
“Affirmative!”
Tie Zhen nodded and strode out. As for the five remaining bodyguards, they remained, firmly standing guard around Chen Feng.
“Don’t worry. They are just some Heavenly Immortals.” The divine sense that Chen Feng sent out clashed against the other party several times before returning.
Sword Premier Demolisher was the first to charge out from the warship. Concentrated killing-type sword energy ripped space to force out two cultivators who were hidden there.
“Ha ha ha! Sword Premier Demolisher, I didn’t think it would be you!” One of them held a longbow that shone with starlight. There was no bowstring there. However, when he pulled, starlight rapidly gathered and converged into a dot. Next, like a meteor, it instantly arrived before Sword Premier Demolisher.
“Break!”
Sword Premier Demolisher bellowed and the sword in his hand collided against the meteor, resulting in a world-destroying display of power. As a result, Sword Premier Demolisher had to give ground. It was then that the other enemy cultivator attacked. His whole body transformed into a crescent moon, moving faster than the meteor. Just as the attack was about to strike Sword Premier Demolisher’s body, a golden-coloured beam of sword light suddenly appeared to knock away the crescent moon.
“Envoy Starbreak! Envoy Crescent Moon! Are you two here to die?!” Sword Premier Demolisher said, killing intent surging out from him.
“It’d be more accurate to say that we are here to send you fellows to your deaths.”
“With just the two of you? Attack!”
Boom!
The Skysoar Warship abruptly fired out a pillar of energy at the two enemy cultivators. At the same time, the Sword Premiers Triskill charged out. It would appear that they wanted to finish off the enemy opponents in one fell swoop.
Suddenly, starlight descended from the sky. As bedazzling as diamonds, the starlight completely wrapped up the warship and several pillars of starlight shot towards the warship instead.
“Not good!”
All of the cultivators on the Six Daos Sword Faction’s side cried out in horror. Even Sword Premier Demolisher was feeling somewhat regretful. Since the enemy had chosen to intercept them here, they must surely be prepared.

“Activate defences! Push it to the max!” Sword Premier Demolisher shouted.
Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng! Weng!
Loud sounds rang out as a thick layer of light utterly encased the warship. However, Sword Premier Demolisher and the others were not feeling confident. The Divine-tier warship may be able to withstand the starlight attacks. However, how many of the cultivators inside would survive?
Would this wave of reinforcements be utterly wiped out here? Thinking about that caused the killing intent within Sword Premier Demolisher’s eyes to turn tangible.
“Not a single one of you will be allowed to leave here alive!” Sword Premier Demolisher stopped caring about the warship. Instead, he pushed out all his strength to attack his opponents. In his opinion, if he could kill off the two high-level Heavenly Immortals on the enemy side, this would all be worth it. That way, even if the group of cultivators he brought out this time were to be completely wiped out, it would still be acceptable.
That being said, he did feel somewhat distressed. Although more than half of the 10,000 plus cultivators there were loose cultivators, even loose cultivators would prove somewhat useful in their current situation. Moreover, there were also some elite heir disciples amongst the group.
“Ha ha ha ha ha! Sword Premier Demolisher, you want to kill me? You don’t have what it takes! We are fully prepared here. This time, even you will die here!”
“Come out! Let them witness our strength!”
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Following Envoy Starbreak’s shout, several more formidable auras charged out from their surroundings. Judging by the strength of those auras, they were all high-level Heavenly Immortals.
“There are still more of them!” Sword Premier Demolisher’s heart turned utterly chilled.
By then, the warship had become submerged within the attacks. Starlight exploded all over the place. It was like an explosion within the very depths of the universe.
But in the face of the explosions, the Heavenly Immortals from both sides ended up staring with widened eyes. Sword Premier Demolisher and the others, in particular, revealed looks of surprise and delight.
The warship should have been in the midst of all the attacks. And yet, it had – at an unknown time – disappeared. By the time it re-appeared, it was already 50,000 kilometres away.
Sword Premier Demolisher and the others were the first to recollect themselves. Knowing that someone had intervened, they did not let up on their attacks. On the contrary, the ferocity of their attacks became several notches stronger.
The enemy ambush had failed and the Six Daos Sword Faction’s warship had teleported away from the trap. It would appear that a variable had appeared.
When Tie Zhen re-appeared before Chen Feng, his face was somewhat pale.
“To be able to teleport us away in the face of the energy cannons empowered by 18 Heavenly Immortals, you put in quite a lot of effort,” Chen Feng said, smiling.
Tie Zhen did not say anything. Instead, he focused on having his longevity-type primary energy circulate around his body and he quickly recovered.
“A pity, the Blood Mustering Bead is not here, otherwise I really want to go kill off a few high-level Heavenly Immortals.” Chen Feng shook his head. At that very moment, there were four high-level Heavenly Immortals controlling the warship. Now that they had escaped from the ambush, the energy cannons installed on the warship began firing beams of devastation at the enemy.
“Young Master, if you need me to, I can head out and kill them off,” Tie Zhen then said solemnly.
“Forget it. There is no need to stand out. This is not our war, after all,” Chen Feng said with a chuckle.
After the enemy ambush failed, the two sides clashed, resulting in some wounds on both sides. After that, without saying anything, the two sides stopped and left.
“Fellow cultivator, thank you for the assistance.” This time, Sword Premier Demolisher put away his arrogance and came to Chen Feng’s small courtyard to express his feelings of gratitude.
“I was just obeying my Young Master’s order. There is no need to thank me,” Tie Zhen said coolly.
“Junior Brother Chen, thank you.” Sword Premier Demolisher then turned towards Chen Feng.
“I am also a disciple of the Six Daos Sword Faction. It is only right for me to do that. Seniors, don’t mention it,” Chen Feng said with a smile.
In truth, Chen Feng had wanted to stay out of it whenever possible so as to avoid troubles. However, since leaving the Primordial Mountain Range, the bloodthirsty energy within him had been stirring. It gave him the desire to participate in the war and start a bloodbath.
Looks like I have been spending too long in cultivation. It’s been so long since I fought. It truly does feel somewhat stifling. Chen Feng revealed a wry smile.
“This is just because demonic notions have entered your state of mind. You should just focus properly on your cultivation!” Tower said scornfully.
“Carnage is also an orthodox dao.”
“It is still inferior to the grand dao of longevity.”
“Tower, I think you must still be sleeping. Different means can still allow one to reach the same result.”
“Nonsense! Are you not cultivating the Longevity Scripture?”
“But there are also cultivation techniques of other grand daos.”
“Humph! If you think you’re hot shit, then don’t rely on my strength!”
“No matter how powerful you are, you are still a magic treasure. A magic treasure that belongs to me. My magic treasure’s strength is my strength.”
“Smelly brat, just behave yourself and shut up!” Tower seemed enraged. Suddenly, a semi-transparent silhouette flashed through space as the Longevity Tower left Chen Feng. It slipped into the many layers of space to disappear from sight.
Seeing that, Tie Zhen and the others felt puzzled.
“Someone is targeting us. The Longevity Tower went out to lure them away,” Chen Feng said calmly. At the same time, though, he felt his heart stirring. Ever since he began his cultivation path in Eternal World, this was the first time the Longevity Tower left him. Surprisingly, there was a feeling of emptiness.
