《Everlasting》Chapter 1155 Strange Place

“Due to that, your current situation is not that good. Kid, with my current power, I am still able to teleport you away. But the longer you spend here, the less confident I am in teleporting you away. You must quickly make a decision,” Tower said solemnly.
“Surely not? I should not be the only one to have entered the cave. Could I be the only one to ever be sucked in? I don’t think so. Just what exactly caused the other party to take action?” Chen Feng swiftly pondered the situation. Every moment since he entered the cave was replayed within his sea of wisdom.
After Chen Feng analysed the events a few times, Tower finally grew impatient.
“Kid, my connection with you is about to break off. You need to make a decision right now. This place is too mysterious. I suggest you leave with me.” Tower’s voice was somewhat strict.
Chen Feng hesitated. It was true. Without the protection of the Longevity Tower, should he encounter danger in this strange place, he would have no place to run to.
Thus, Chen Feng nodded in agreement. However, a formidable power suddenly appeared to wrap around Chen Feng. By the time Tower noticed that something was amiss, Chen Feng was already billions of li away from him. The connection between them was thus lost.
“Oh, no!”
Tower exclaimed and a formidable power spread out across the place. In the end, though, he failed to find Chen Feng. Helpless, Tower retracted his power in the end.
“Now, I can only hope that the kid is lucky enough.” Tower knew that there was no point in worrying about it. His own crisis had yet to be resolved. Thus, he could not reveal himself. Still, he had locked down Chen Feng’s spatial coordinate. Should the circumstances permit it, he could head there to look for Chen Feng.
On Chen Feng’s end, he had been utterly incapable of fighting back against the mysterious power wrapping him up. In the beginning, he had felt somewhat apprehensive about it, but he swiftly calmed down. The other party was very strong. The fact that they could cut off the connection between him and the Longevity Tower proved just how capable they were. They were more than capable of killing him off. Thus, worrying or fighting back against this power was pointless. Moreover, it would appear that this power had – since the very beginning – no ill-intentions towards him.
Wrapped up by this mysterious power, Chen Feng’s figure kept flying through the mysterious stretch of space. If it weren’t for the fact that he was being involuntarily dragged forward, he would have felt like an Immortal Human taking a stroll through the chaos of space.
Suddenly, Chen Feng saw a mote of golden light in the distance. It rapidly expanded in size to finally assume the form of a palace, floating within empty space. Like drops of ink falling into water, images began spreading outwards and Chen Feng was able to gradually see – with the palace as the starting point – one road after another and buildings extending outwards.

Chen Feng could already sense formidable life signs. There were others here. More, they were in the midst of fighting one another.
The power wrapping him up began disappearing and Chen Feng drifted down to land on a road. It was unknown what materials were used to pave the road.
Boom!
A cultivator abruptly jumped forward, unleashing a punch towards Chen Feng. He was very fast and his move contained the laws of strength and speed.
“If you cannot take this attack, you cannot enter the palace!” Even the soundwaves transformed into a stream of light to assail Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom.
Chen Feng was aware that he could not retreat, otherwise he would have to leave this road and enter the void. And so, with a stamp, the power within him converged into one before charging out like a volcanic eruption to take on the opponent’s fist.
Eh, something’s wrong!
A look of surprise flashed across Chen Feng’s face. It was not because his opponent was too strong. Rather, it was because the opponent was too weak. Like trampling on withered sticks, Chen Feng’s attack demolished the opponent’s attack before continuing forward to blow the cultivator up into fragments of starlight.
Even more shockingly, the fragments of starlight rapidly joined up to reform the cultivator. After that, the cultivator stood aside with an impassive look on his face, not saying anything at all. Only then did Chen Feng notice that this cultivator was a combat puppet meant to stand guard over this pathway and obstruct any incoming cultivators.
Chen Feng swiftly replayed what happened earlier in his mind. When the combat puppet attacked him, it was clearly only displaying the power of a mid-level True Immortal. And so, everything became clear. How could a cultivator at the same level as Chen Feng be a match for him? It was only natural for Chen Feng to shatter his opponent with one punch.
Interesting, it is actually testing one’s strength according to their level. In other words, I have a big advantage here, no? Chen Feng chuckled and strode forward along the pathway.
As expected, no more combat puppets stepped forward to stop Chen Feng. Chen Feng was confident that, if he were at the Heavenly Immortal stage, the combat puppet would have displayed the strength of a Heavenly Immortal as well.
“Another new guy has come.”
Several people were already standing at the square before the palace. Everyone of them cast differing gazes at Chen Feng.
Chen Feng smiled, but he was also secretly inspecting the cultivation states of the other fellows.
The Ascendant Immortal stage, the True Immortal stage, the Heavenly Immortal stage and the half-step Gold Immortal stage. Tsk, tsk. Interesting. To think that there would be cultivators of various cultivation levels here. Additionally, they are all gathered here. Given Chen Feng’s current level of strength, he was wholly capable of seeing through the cultivation states of the cultivators there. Moreover, there was one thing that Chen Feng could also be certain of. Every one of them was special. Some possessed special genes, some possessed special constitutions and some possessed highly formidable combat power. Simply put, they were all cultivation geniuses.

Though, it was possible for another type of cultivator to be there as well. The one blessed with luck.
I wonder, what is the criteria behind my selection? Genes? Or constitution? Or an extraordinary combat power? Surely it is not due to some Heaven-defying luck? I feel like I might belong to all those categories.
Also, did others from the Six Daos Sword Faction ever make it here? Why do I get the feeling that all these developments have nothing to do with the Primordial Scripture of the Six Daos?
“New guy, introduce yourself.” The one who spoke up was the strongest one there, a half-step Gold Immortal. He had the appearance of a handsome man. However, Chen Feng could see that he was not human. Rather, he was a variant wyrm. As for the specific details, Chen Feng himself was unable to tell. Only, he could sense that this person’s blood energy was outrageously strong.
A wyrm brimming with blood energy, his fleshly body must be very strong. Even his rate of recovery will be very fast. Those must be his forte.
“Greetings, everyone. You may address me as Chen Feng. I am from the Longevity Clan. My forte is my speed and strength.” After saying that, Chen Feng stopped and looked around before continuing with a smile, “Fellows, are you not going to introduce yourselves?”
“Who do you think you are? Is the Longevity Clan so great? I have never even heard of it,” one of the cultivators said aggressively. Looking at him, Chen Feng saw that he was only a mid-level True Immortal, the same level as him. For him to be provoking Chen Feng at this level, did he think that he was stronger than Chen Feng?
“What are you looking at? You claim that strength is your forte? I wonder, are you as strong as me?” The cultivator was very strong and Chen Feng could see that he was a human. Only, the density of his fleshly body was far greater than even some formidable extra-terrestrial creatures. Additionally, there was something of a spatial point within his body. Chen Feng was able to easily identify that this person was like him. He had opened up a strength-type insight acupoint. Chen Feng decided to call it the Force acupoint. This cultivator’s Force acupoint was like a dazzling star within his body.
Looking around, Chen Feng noted not only the provocative look on the mighty-looking cultivator’s face, but also the gloating expressions on the other cultivators. Some revealed troubled looks.
Do they think of me as easy pickings? Although Chen Feng was curious about their gazes, he decided to take action against this provocative move.
Earlier, Chen Feng had said that his forte was his speed and strength. And that was exactly what he displayed. He did not even utilize the Longevity Wings. Taking a step forward with the Longevity Steps, Chen Feng re-appeared before the cultivator and a fist smashed forward.
As he did so, Chen Feng noted that the expressions on those who were watching enthusiastically grew even more excited. Some seemed expectant of something.
The matter that surprised Chen Feng the most was his target of attack, the mighty-looking cultivator who had provoked him. Chen Feng had already unleashed his attack, but this fellow was not taking any action to defend himself at all. Additionally, there was a ridiculing smile on his face. It was as though he had cultivated out an invincible body. And so, he simply watched with a smile as Chen Feng’s fist smashed his face.
Bang!
Chen Feng did not hesitate and his punch sent the cultivator flying. Falling, the cultivator then tumbled across the ground before smashing into a pillar, which stopped the momentum behind him.
“How is that possible?”
The cultivator cried out in shock, seemingly in disbelief that he could be beaten. Likewise, the cultivators who were watching it all also cried out in shock.
Chen Feng, however, ignored it. With another step, he appeared before the cultivator again and kicked him, eliciting a wretched cry from the cultivator who was once again sent flying. This time, Chen Feng had increased the power behind his attack. Thus, after falling to the ground, the cultivator fainted.
Tsk, tsk. He can withstand two of my attacks. This fellow is something else. Chen Feng shook his head before walking back. Looking at the others, he then said with a smile, “I believe you fellows can introduce yourselves now, no?”
The cultivators there exchanged glances, a look of puzzlement in their eyes. Finally, a starter-level Heavenly Immortal stepped forward to fire out an attack at Chen Feng. Chen Feng, on the other hand, could see that this was only a probing attack without much power behind it. Due to that, Chen Feng was in no rush to counter attack. Instead, he took a few steps back, curious to see what this fellow was up to.
What happened next was even more peculiar. Before this fellow’s attack could even approach him, a flash of lightning appeared out of thin air to disperse the attack. At the same time, another flash of lightning struck the Heavenly Immortal who released a miserable shriek. His whole body was charred, his flesh damaged and smoke wafted upwards. Appearance wise, he appeared several notches more wretched compared to the one Chen Feng knocked out.
Seeing that left Chen Feng stunned for a moment. Looking at the faces of the other cultivators, he finally understood what was happening. Then, in order to verify it, he waved his hand and several sword beams fired out indiscriminately at the others there.
As expected, in the face of Chen Feng’s attacks, the cultivators only dodged. Some cut quite the miserable sight, clutching their heads as they fled every which way. That included the half-step Gold Immortals. Not one of them dared to retaliate.
“Tsk, tsk. So, this is it. What is this supposed to mean? Is my luck a defiance of Heaven? That doesn’t quite seem to be the case.” Mumbling to himself, Chen Feng then waved his fingers and even more sword beams appeared.
“Friend, stop for now! Let’s talk about this!” one of the Heavenly Immortals then blurted out.

Eater of Spirits
Story is abandoned. There will be no more updates on it. Jarod is kind of a loser, as it goes with these stories. A tear in his reality pulls him into another world, where he gains the ability to devour spirits, the locus of magic within the world. This is far from my first foray into fiction, but it is my first time posting anything to royal road, and first time writing LitRPG. This is an exercise in putting things out there, and just writing. That means that all of this is going to be a first draft, where edits may come sparsely if there is a glaring issue or something I think should be better. Thanks for reading!

This quest will either see von Bolstedt's shaken faith in his own god reforged into an intolerant blade, or shattered like ice. Word from the AuthorGreetings! Witch Hunt plays out in the much beloved Warhammer Fantasy setting (owned, of course, by Games Workshop). Do not fret, however, as I've made it a point to make the story digestible even to the uninitiated, and maybe even be a good introduction to the setting. This is the second part of the adventures of Adebar von Bolstedt, as such I recommend reading part one, titled "The Hand of Sigmar" first. While I cannot claim the places, concepts and gods etc. mentioned within as my own, the story and all characters flowed from my own fingers.
