But they quickly recognized him.

“It’s Young Master Longevity Celestial! Longevity Celestial!” Someone exclaimed.

“Since you recognize me, do you dare attack again?” Chen Feng revealed a derisive smile. The earlier formation was one of the offensive techniques of the Celestial Longevity Plane. Be it the formation’s structure, operating principles or weak points, Chen Feng knew them all. Not to mention, Chen Feng was someone of noble birth who had cultivated the entire Longevity Scripture. In a fight, he would have a big advantage over the cultivators from the Longevity Clan.

“Kill!”

The cultivators only hesitated for a moment before displaying strong killing intent. They rapidly assumed the formation again before attacking Chen Feng.

Chen Feng was faster.

Before they could complete their formation, Chen Feng charged into the central part of the formation and the Longevity Wings swirled around violently. Blades of light flashed and all twelve cultivators were killed.

Chen Feng did not hold back. For him, anyone who dared attack him was the same. Regardless of what their reasonings may be, regardless if they were from the Celestial Longevity Plane or even outstanding members of the imperial family, all were the same in his eyes.

The twelve Heavenly Immortals were thus instantly killed off.

I was attacked right after I entered. Looks like the Dark Night is not doing too well. Chen Feng sped up. Along the way, he encountered and killed off several other small teams of cultivators. Although most of them were soldiers that were casually recruited from the Celestial Longevity Plane, Chen Feng was still able to identify traces of the Tower Corps behind them.

These fellows are seriously incapable of seeing the big picture. Do they not understand the consequences of their actions? Or are they just that confident? Chen Feng, who had killed over a hundred Heavenly Immortals, scoffed. If they had sent this force to the Six Daos Sword Faction, they could have changed the situation. And yet, they had stayed here, all for the sake of entrapping the Dark Kirin.

For them to think so highly of Dark Night, looks like the other party has an expert. Chen Feng finally saw the Dark Kirin’s silhouette.

A massive Longevity Furnace rested in the middle of the dimension and four cultivators were mobilizing cyan-coloured flames to burn the Longevity Furnace. As for the Dark Kirin, he was seated inside the Longevity Furnace, not moving at all. Chen Feng could clearly see various types of power entering the Longevity Furnace in an attempt to attack the Dark Kirin.

“The Longevity Furnace is quite good. However, it still has a very big flaw,” Chen Feng said with a smile.

“Longevity Celestial, we’ve been waiting for you.” The cultivators were not surprised at all by Chen Feng’s appearance. It would appear that they had been expecting him.

“You’re late.” The Dark Kirin’s voice rang out and Chen Feng smiled. Judging from his voice, Chen Feng determined that there was nothing wrong with the Dark Kirin.

“These fellows sure are foolish. They actually trapped you, wanting to refine you. Won’t it be better to just kill you off?” Chen Feng said.

“Killing me won’t be that easy. What they want is my Dark Scripture.” The Dark Kirin chuckled.

“The Dark Scripture. Looks like these fellows are very ambitious. They actually plan on taking over the Dark Plane.”

“Alright, enough nonsense. You go in as well,” one of the four cultivators said and four Longevity Chains emerged at the same time. Twisting around, they attempted to tie up Chen Feng.

Chen Feng did not even bother to evade. The sword in his hand swung and the four chains were cut into pieces. Next, Chen Feng’s figure darted forward to appear before one of them. Without any flashy moves, the sword simply swung forward.

“A mid-grade Divine artifact!”

The fact that Chen Feng could make his way here meant that he was not to be underestimated. And yet, despite knowing that, the four cultivators found that they had, in fact, still underestimated Chen Feng. And so, the half-step Gold Immortal who spoke up earlier stopped channelling his power towards the Longevity Furnace and got up. Wielding a sword, he moved forward to fight Chen Feng.

“I wonder, how strong is the Deputy Commander of the Tower Corps?” Chen Feng said with a sneer. He had figured out their origins the moment he entered this dimension.

This half-step Gold Immortal was very strong, almost comparable to the variant wyrm. His cultivation of the Longevity Sword Technique was practically perfect. More, he had also inserted his own grand dao laws into his moves while wave after wave of world power bolstered his body. Normally, it would have taken Chen Feng quite some time to deal with such an opponent. But he had been spending so many years training and cultivating himself. He had even obtained the legacies of four Gold Immortals and accumulated a great power within him. Additionally, the Undying Heaven Sword in his hand was also one grade stronger compared to his opponent’s Longevity Sword.

“Kid, stop dilly-dallying. This dimension has begun moving.” The Dark Kirin’s voice rang out from the Longevity Furnace.

“Don’t worry, I have everything under control.” The Longevity Wings on Chen Feng’s back unfurled to cover the surrounding space before instantly expanding ten times further. A power akin to raging fire seemingly melted down the void as the noble genes of the Longevity Clan was put on display for all to see. In the face of Chen Feng’s aura, the half-step Gold Immortal who was fighting him found his heart suddenly coming to a halt. Involuntarily, he took several steps back. The Undying Heaven Sword in Chen Feng’s hand then sliced and a deep crack appeared on the Longevity Furnace.

“Now!” The Dark Kirin, who had been sitting quietly inside the Longevity Furnace, suddenly jumped to his feet. He stabbed forward with the dragon spear, War Butcher, to punch a large hole through the Longevity Furnace. The instant he broke out from the furnace, the dragon spear left his hand to pin one of the cultivators to the ground.

“How could you-”

“Are you thinking of asking me how I could still have this much strength? Will you believe me if I tell you, you guys are idiots? With this level of strength, you actually think you can refine me? I spent my time inside cultivating and my body has become even more resilient. Speaking of which, I have to thank you fellows,” the Dark Kirin said, raising his hand to summon back the dragon spear before moving to stop the other two cultivators.

Chen Feng knew that the Dark Kirin was deliberately leaving this opponent to him. And so, he brought his full might to bear, unleashing three sword attacks in a row to force his opponent back. In the end, the Undying Heaven Sword transformed into a beam of light and stabbed into his opponent’s body.

As for the cultivator who was nailed to the ground by the Dark Kirin’s move earlier, he had yet to even get up when something flashed before his eyes. Next, the power within him surged out uncontrollably.

“The Heavengulping Absorption Technique!”

The cultivator screamed in horror, but Longevity Chains suddenly appeared to bind him and he found himself incapable of breaking free. Due to that, all he could do was to scream in misery and fear.

Chen Feng’s mastery of the Heavengulping Absorption Technique had risen by yet another level, allowing him to swiftly devour this cultivator’s strength and laws. As there were no time to refine all the power and laws, he stored them all inside his body. Then, he appeared before the other cultivator. Chen Feng repeated his previous action and a wretched cry rang out, adding yet another withered-up corpse to the place.

Seeing that, the two half-step Gold Immortals who were fighting the Dark Kirin grew terrified to the extreme. And so, they attempted to leave only for Chen Feng and the Dark Kirin to work together to severely wound them.

And so, the Dark Kirin watched as the four cultivators turned into nourishment for Chen Feng. He could not stop himself from saying, “This technique of yours is too overbearing. Plundering on such a large scale just doesn’t feel appropriate.”

“Actually, this is why my cultivation rate is so slow. If I had ignored all else and just devoured everything, I could have advanced to the Heavenly Immortal stage by now.”

“If you did, you would have suffered from cultivation deviation long ago.” The Dark Kirin shook his head and said nothing else about it. Any other cultivator from the Longevity Clan would indeed not have the guts to devour so much power from other cultivators. However, Chen Feng, who possessed the Chaos Constitution, was capable of reducing the risk involved to its lowest possible level.

Suddenly, an energy wave swept forward and Chen Feng immediately felt his hairs standing on end.

“A Gold Immortal!”

“Let’s go!”

The Dark Kirin swung the dragon spear to punch a hole through the dimension’s barrier and the two of them swiftly charged out. They found themselves within a turbulent void space devoid of directions. Meanwhile, a great golden hand was making its way over. Even though it was still far away, it had locked down on Chen Feng and the Dark Kirin’s position.

“Go!”

The two of them employed their respective spiritwalking techniques to quickly travel through space. They were able to cross a distance of billions of li with every breath, passing through countless folds of space. Even so, they were still incapable of shaking off the pursuing Gold Immortal. On the contrary, the great golden hand was closing the distance between them.

“Just an Ageless Gold Immortal,” Chen Feng said with a derisive grin.

“Attack!” The dragon spear in the Dark Kirin’s hand began releasing draconic roars.

“Of course!” Likewise, the Undying Heaven Sword in Chen Feng’s hand thrummed.

Promptly, the two of them turned around to unleash a formidable force, which collided against the golden hand. Golden light flared out to transform into countless streams of starlight. Waves of power, the power of annihilation, spread out. In the end, the golden hand, Chen Feng and the Dark Kirin disappeared from sight.

“What a swift rate of progress!” That thought reverberated somewhere within the depths of the void.

Chen Feng and the Dark Kirin had long since left the place and they quickly returned to the Six Daos Sword Faction. The earlier clash had not wounded either of them. This was a very satisfactory result.

The time Chen Feng spent training and cultivating himself had allowed his strength to rise so much that it shocked even himself. However, after fighting alongside the Dark Kirin, he found that the Dark Kirin’s rate of cultivation was quite fast as well. It gave off an unfathomable feeling.

“That’s not the same. I have merged with the Dark Scripture. The entire Dark Plane is behind me. It is only natural for my rate of cultivation to be very fast. You, on the other hand, really shocked me. The power within you has already surpassed me,” the Dark Kirin, seemingly having read Chen Feng’s mind, said.

“Things have been quite messy lately. I hope that you can help me keep an eye on things. I need to go undergo my tribulation.” After the earlier battle, Chen Feng was no longer capable of suppressing his tribulation for much longer. His Heavenly Tribulation had already locked him down.

“Not a problem. After this, I will select a group of cultivators from the Dark Plane to send over. We’ve recently managed to establish our own territory in this Immortal Plane.” The Dark Kirin nodded.

Before Chen Feng could undergo his tribulation, though, the variant wyrm and space-time extra-terrestrial creature successfully overcame their respective tribulations. The variant wyrm advanced to the Gold Immortal stage and Ageless light swept outwards while an Ageless law was formed. This shocked almost all of the Easternmost Region.

After successfully advancing to the Gold Immortal stage, the first thing the variant wyrm did was attempt to erase the soul shackle that Chen Feng left in his sea of wisdom. He wanted to break free from Chen Feng’s control and kill Chen Feng instead. When he failed, however, all he could do was to – dejectedly – enter a cultivation retreat and begin studying the grand dao of agelessness.

The space-time extra-terrestrial creature, on the other hand, reached the half-step Gold Immortal stage. Additionally, after stabilizing his cultivation level, his strength was far stronger than those on the same level. He could already be considered as an expert amongst half-step Gold Immortals. This was a result he achieved by making proper preparations. However, seeing how even the variant wyrm had been incapable of breaking free, he did not bother trying.

“I have a Gold Immortal amongst my followers. This gives me quite the reputation. Only, it would appear that this follower bears a somewhat unwilling heart. He has many other thoughts going through him. I will need to deter him with an even greater power,” Chen Feng said. By then, the tribulation power within his tribulation clouds had already poured down.
