Chapter 571: 571
Chapter 571: How Are You Not a Saint?!
“Charge!”
“Kill that bunch of mongrels!”
Even before Jiang He gave the order, Dumbo barked a rallying charge and led the assault.
Dumbo had the air of a leader among Jiang He’s many slaves, and the slaves tend to address him as ‘boss’ or even ‘chief’.
In no time at all, the Demi-Saint Insectoid warriors sent by the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint were surrounded and killed!
At the same time, the hundreds of Grand Luo Insectoid warriors were captured by the Cloudscraper Vine, who extended all 1,024 tendrils that coiled around each warrior.
Still, those Insectoid warriors were not weak—they struggled, with some succeeding in freeing themselves from the tendrils. However, multiple tendrils would shoot toward them in the next instant, and every last Grand Luo Insectoid warrior was soon enough reduced to nutrients for the Cloudscraper Vine.
“What else do you have up your sleeve, Nine-Headed Insectoid?”
Jiang He smiled faintly at the Insectoid, who was hovering in the skies above the divine city.
With a wave of his left land, the Yuan Killer Sword and the Infinite Pain Sword—both paragon innate treasures of death—streaked through the air toward the Saint.
With a wave of his right, seven silhouettes of spears took to the air as well.
Boom!
The very air was split apart.
In return, the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint had invoked Temporal Dao to stop the oncoming twin swords. Even so, both swords cut a slit into the stagnated space-time in the very next instant.
The seven God-Killing Spears bombarded him right there, shattering the area.
While the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint’s hive could create Grand Luo or even Demi-Saint Insectoid warriors, his control over time fell short compared to Lord Swelling Sky of the God race.
And if Lord Swelling Sky could not restrain Jiang He’s movement before he gained World Strength, would the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint be able to do that now?
“What’s this?!”
Shocked, fear crept into the faces of the Insectoid Saint’s each nine heads, exclaiming, “Impossible!”
“Yuan Killer Sword and the Infinite Pain Sword?”
“The God-Killing Spear—and seven of them at that?!”

Being one of the few Saints that existed across worlds, the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint was very knowledgeable, and certainly recognized those weapons.
And yet, he was still a little doubtful even after he saw the God-Killing Spears with his own eyes.
“The God-Killing Spear is supposed to be shattered! No one could have repaired an innate paragon treasure of its like… let alone make six more even if they could fix them!”
All nine heads were bellowing.
At the same time, the divine city beneath him shone dazzlingly and built up a massive screen of light, temporarily blocking Jiang He’s assault.
Roar!
The Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint bellowed, his massive form multiplying up to fifty thousand kilometers in length before he lunged at Jiang He again.
“A fine charge!”
Jiang He laughed out loud, abruptly raising himself.
His overwhelming qi as a martial artist built into an arc of blood as he unleashed Fist of the Six Paths of Reincarnation.
Then, in the instant he collided with the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint, he cast the Esoteric Word: Power.
Boom!
His aura erupted once again!
Blam!
One of the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint’s heads was blown up.
“What?!”
Shocked, the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint swung its thick, firm abdomen at Jiang He while he shrieked, “How are you not a Saint?!”
***
Meanwhile, another Saint’s aura was rapidly approaching from another direction of the Insectoid’s borders.
Like the Machine race, the Insectoids had two Saints.
However, the other Saint was quite formidable, and information suggested that he was equal in ability to the Grandmaster of Heaven.
Jiang He’s face twitched. Beckoning to gather the God-Killing Spears, Yuan Killer Sword, and the Infinite Pain Sword God, he turned to leave.
“Jiang He!”
That furious voice reached Jiang He’s ears from the distance, bellowing, “You dare mess around in Insectoid borders?”
Jiang He played dumb and continued his escape.
Then, space-time stagnated ahead of him, whereas spatiality around him pulled him backwards…
But Jiang He had experienced this scenario a few times already.
His World Strength bursting, he invoked the seven God-Killing Spears to bombard the air before him, and his brute strength handily blew up the stagnated space-time. Then, with a few teleports, he made his way out of the Insectoid’s domain.

Still, the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint and the other Insectoid Saint chased him over eight hundred light-years… when they suddenly stopped.
The other Insectoid had the appearance of an imposing, handsome man who stood over a thousand meters tall, and bore a star-sized hive behind him.
He looked up at the stars before him, frowning as he asked, “You would stop me, Taishang Laojun?”
The old man merely grinned at the Insectoid Saint in the middle of outer space.
Angered by the old man’s non-response, the Insectoid Saint growled, “We Insectoids are neutrals! Are you not afraid that I would join hands with the Gods and Demons after you allowed a human scion to mess around in Insectoid territory?!”
Boom!
This chapter is scrapped from readlightnovel.org
A huge palm descended upon them just as he spoke.
Stunned, both Insectoid Saints tried to back away, only to find that space and time around them had already been sealed.
They tried to break the seal, but futilely realized that their own Temporal Dao was completely insignificant in the face of their opponent’s.
Kaboom!
The palm landed, and the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint was blown into pieces, while the other Insectoid Saint was maimed.
Still, the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint stepped out from the River of Time in the blink of an eye, although his aura was much weaker this time.
“You destroyed my present form!”
The Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint was as shocked as he was livid!
He was quite weak and could only leave one existential mark on the River of Time, projecting only a single past form… which was also a class below his true form in power.
Meanwhile, the old man strode forward among the stars.
The world whirled and space-time reversed when he pointed a finger, and the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint realized in shock that the body that just died had regenerated.
It was not resurrection, since even the Transcendent champions of legends were unable to revive Saints.
As a matter of fact, it was a special application of Temporal Dao… that rebuilt the Nine-Headed Insectoid Saint’s recently destroyed body.
Beside him, the other Insectoid Demi-Saint was utterly astonished as well.
At the same time, the old man flatly said, “Jiang He merely killed a handful of your Demi-Saints. Just create another batch of them and grant them intelligence, and basically nothing changes.”
“If you insist that you’re neutral, then keep at it… As for Jiang He, what havoc he throws up is his business. Isn’t it your race’s own fault for provoking him?”
“Kill him if you have what it takes, but don’t grumble if you can’t—or I will slaughter every last Insectoid.”
With those words, the old man disappeared from among those stars in a flash.
It was after a long while after he left that the Insectoid Saints finally dared to breathe…
They were definitely shocked.
While the True Lord of Morality and Pure Nothingness was universally acknowledged as the most powerful individual there was, only the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor who often fought him were actually aware of the extent of his profound power.
And now, these two Insectoid Saints knew as well.
For the old man, killing average Saints like them was no different from killing a Demi-Saint…
***
At the same time, both the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor who were dwelling in their respective realms sensed it.
“Jiang He… He’s still alive!”
“How could this be?!”
Both the God Emperor and the Demon Emperor quickly made their divination, only to find the will of fate indicating Jiang He’s death.
But at this stage, how could they not guess that the True Lord of Morality and Pure Nothingness had concealed Jiang He’s presence from the will of fate?!
***
As for Jiang He, he continued his rapid approach to the Three Realms via teleport, and only stopped after traversing three constellations.
Before him, Taishang Laojun—one of the True Lord of Morality and Pure Nothingness’s forms— was seated on his blue ox and staring at Jiang He.
Getting the chills from his stare, he remembered what Taishang Laojun told him before: act subtle, and play dead while he cultivated.
He promptly scratched the back of his head and laughed, “Senior Brother, don’t you think it’s weird? I was just out for a stroll, and I somehow reached the Insectoid’s territory…”
