Chapter 16

In a dusty room .

Two men put Zhen Zhen onto the floor and she woke up .

‘Let me go!’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘I want to go home . I want Gu Zai . ’

Da Fu Li looked at Zhen Zhen, she wasn’t the woman he asked the two men to kidnap .

Da Fu Li crouched in front of Zhen Zhen and he slapped her right cheek . Her right cheek became swollen, the corner of her lips bled and it hurt for her to open her mouth .

Da Fu Li wasn’t satisfied, he slapped the two men too .

‘Idiots!’ Da Fu Li said . ‘I asked you two to kidnap the woman wearing a pink shirt, but you two brought me a dummy girl . ’

‘Master Da, you said to kidnap the woman wearing a red shirt,’ the first man said .

Da Fu Li’s cheeks were sunken from being a heroin addict, but his scabby hand that slapped Zhen Zhen and the men was still forceful .

‘You dare talk back?’ Da Fu Li asked .

‘Master Da, what do you want us to do now?’ the second man asked .

Da Fu Li looked at the frightened Zhen Zhen and he smiled lewdly at her .

‘The dummy girl’s looks aren’t bad,’ Da Fu Li said . ‘Let me play with her while you two go kidnap the right woman . ’

‘Yes Master Da,’ the two men said .

Zhen Zhen moved back into a corner to avoid Da Fu Li who was coming toward her . She was scared and couldn’t do anything except cry .

‘Stay away from me!’ Zhen Zhen said .

Da Fu Li slapped Zhen Zhen’s left cheek and his scabby hands rubbed her soft swollen cheeks .

‘If you’re good and let me play with you then you won’t suffer,’ Da Fu Li said .

Da Fu Li restrained Zhen Zhen’s wrists with one hand and used his other hand to take off her jeans . But jeans didn’t come off easily and she bit his scabby hand hard .

‘Ah!’ Da Fu Li cried out .

Da Fu Li looked at his bitten hand, it was bleeding .

‘MF! You dare bite me?’ Da Fu Li said . ‘I’m going to shoot you dead!’

Da Fu Li let go of Zhen Zhen, stood and pulled out his gun . But while he was preparing to shoot Yue Gu Zai leapt into the room and shielded Zhen Zhen’s body .

Da Fu Li’s bullet missed its target instead the bullet lodged into Yue Gu Zai’s arm .

Zhen Zhen didn’t sense anything except the man in her heart had came to save her and held her protectively in his arms .

‘Gu Zai…’ Zhen Zhen called and cried .

‘It’s ok,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

Yue Gu Zai’s tone was stern, but he held Zhen Zhen tightly and her heart was comforted .

Huyen Di twisted Da Fu Li’s arms painfully behind Da Fu Li’s back .

‘Who are you people?’ Da Fu Li asked . ‘Do you know who I am? My older sister is Da Tu Li . If you people dare to offend me then you’ll all die!’

Bai Yu Tian laughed coldly . ‘Huyen Di, I think he’s threatening us . ’

‘If you people are scared then hurry up and let go of me,’ Da Fu Li said . ‘I’ll consider sparing your low lives . ’

Zhen Zhen held onto Yue Gu Zai’s arms, but she felt blood in one of her hands .

‘Blood!’ Zhen Zhen said . ‘Gu Zai, blood!’

Bai Yu Tian rushed to Yue Gu Zai and he wanted to apply pressure on Yue Gu Zai’s arm to stop the bleeding .

‘I’m ok,’ Yue Gu Zai said to reassure Zhen Zhen .

Yue Gu Zai was more concerned about Zhen Zhen’s swollen cheeks . He gently touched her right cheek but she still winced .

‘Do your cheeks hurt?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

‘It doesn’t hurt anymore,’ Zhen Zhen said .

Zhen Zhen didn’t care if her cheeks hurt as long as Yue Gu Zai was with her .

Yue Gu Zai turned his head around and he glared darkly at Da Fu Li .

‘What did you use to hit her?’ Yue Gu Zai asked .

Da Fu Li didn’t want to show that he was scared of Yue Gu Zai’s deadly eyes .

‘Why do I need to tell you?’ Da Fu Li asked .

‘You’re not going to tell me?’ Yue Gu Zai asked . ‘Ok, I’ll cut off your hands . ’

Yue Gu Zai was about to grab a knife, but Bai Yu Tian stopped him .

‘Boss, let me,’ Bai Yu Tian said . ‘Recently I read how to smoothly cut off a person’s skin . It’s a good chance to practice what I learnt . I read exposing flesh is more painful than dying . ’

‘Ok, I’ll give him to you,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

Yue Gu Zai left with Zhen Zhen .

‘Huyen Di, are you staying to watch the show?’ Bai Yu Tian asked .

‘I don’t need to watch,’ Huyen Di said .

Huyen Di spoke calmly but if Bai Yu Tian looked closely at his eyes then it would be obvious he was nauseous . Huyen Di quickly left . Last time he witnessed Bai Yu Tian performed a free surgery for a charity, he lost his appetite for a month .

Bai Yu Tian put on gloves and he jabbed an injection into Da Fu Li’s arm .

‘I gave you a drug that mobilizes your body,’ Bai Yu Tian said . ‘But it’ll intensify the feeling of pain five times… don’t worry, it won’t be too painful…’

Bai Yu Tian cut off the skin of Da Fu Li’s scabby hands while he explained the drug’s effects .

‘Ah, ah, Ah!’ Da Fu Li cried out .

‘Don’t worry, it’s a quick surgery,’ Bai Yu Tian said . ‘Boss is waiting for me to bandage his wound . Honestly your hands are ugly and shrivelled . You must be a heroin addict . ’

Bai Yu Tian finished cutting off the skin of Da Fu Li’s hands and shook his head in disgust while Da Fu Li cried out in pain and sweated .

‘Do you know what happens when someone dares to injure boss?’ Bai Yu Tian asked . ‘Killing you is too merciful . ’ He bandaged Da Fu Li’s hands enough to keep Da Fu Li alive . ‘Don’t worry, I won’t let you die easily . ’

Before Da Fu Li fell unconscious, he thought Bai Yu Tian’s calm tone sounded like a guide leading him to hell .

At the main house, Yue Gu Zai didn’t fault Bai Yu Tian for returning two minutes later than him .

Bai Yu Tian walked into the main house wearing a white lab coat and carrying a suitcase of sanitized surgical equipment .

When Bai Yu Tian was about to inject an anaesthetic into Yue Gu Zai’s arm, Zhen Zhen stopped him . In that moment Bai Yu Tian would have struck her unconscious if Yue Gu Zai wasn’t conscious .

‘Miss Zhen Zhen, I promise I won’t let boss feel pain,’ Bai Yu Tian said . ‘This anaesthetic is to help boss not to feel pain . ’

‘No,’ Zhen Zhen said .

Zhen Zhen was scared the drug would hurt Yue Gu Zai .

‘It’s ok, I don’t need anaesthetic,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

Bai Yu Tian sighed and he put the anaesthetic on the table . ‘Boss, you’ll need to endure pain . ’

Bai Yu Tian picked up the scalpel, but Zhen Zhen stopped him again .

‘Miss Zhen Zhen, do you want boss to bleed to death?’ Bai Yu Tian asked .

‘But… it looks painful,’ Zhen Zhen said .

‘Zhen Zhen, go outside and wait for me,’ Yue Gu Zai said .

Yue Gu Zai knew he would bleed to death if Zhen Zhen stayed in the room .

‘No,’ Zhen Zhen said and pouted her lips . ‘I want to stay here with you . I promise I won’t interfere anymore . ’

While Zhen Zhen was distracted Bai Yu Tian injected the anaesthetic into Yue Gu Zai’s arm . The moment Yue Gu Zai was unconscious, Bai Yu Tian struck Zhen Zhen unconscious otherwise her crying would distract him while he removed the bullet .

After Bai Yu Tian successfully removed the bullet from Yue Gu Zai’s arm, Chu Gian entered the room and she leaned on a wall .

Chu Gian looked at the unconscious Zhen Zhen and she shook her head . ‘Yu Tian, don’t you know how to treat a precious jade?’

Bai Yu Tian shrugged his shoulders . ‘Where’s Cheng Yi?’

‘Cheng Yi… he’s been kneeling at the back of the house since he found out boss and Zhen Zhen were hurt,’ Chu Gian said . She helped Bai Yu Tian take off the lab coat . ‘If boss had chased after him then he wouldn’t have energy to kneel . ’

‘It’s Cheng Yi’s fault for being careless while on duty,’ Bai Yu Tian said .

‘You’re the one who always has to play bad cop and clean up his mess,’ Chu Gian said and walked in the direction of her car .

‘Where are you going?’ Bai Yu Tian asked .

‘Going outside for fresh air,’ Chu Gian said .

Chu Gian wasn’t going to let Yue Gu Zai’s injury and Zhen Zhen’s kidnapping incident slide . Chu Gian was going to make the Da Household’s gang pay . She sat in her red Ferrari and sped off .
