Chapter 49: Adrian’s Plan
Chapter 49: Adrian’s Plan
However, something was amiss to Locke.
He had purposely left the lackeys relatively unharmed since he did not want the incident to blow up.
‘How did this even happen?’
A bad premonition welled up within Locke.
“What’s so funny? !”Director Charles roared.
Once the laughter subsided, Director Charles continued, “How despicable! How wicked! I never thought that a Diamond Class student would do this to their own classmates!”
“Locke! You have the guts to do it, but you don’t have the guts to admit it?”
“Woah…”
Suddenly, all the students’ gazes were pinned on Locke.
Alice and Adrian secretly exchanged glances to agree that Locke was in big trouble this time.
The four guys raised their hands and pointed at Locke, saying in unison, “It was this person who beat us up! He’s also the one who killed our Battle Beasts!”
It sounded too well-rehearsed.
The students immediately understood what was going on.
“Sigh… The new student’s in trouble.”
“This again? Can Adrian be any less creative?”
“He expelled two guys with this move in the past, and now…”
“Forget it, don’t provoke the siblings any further…”
Albert also vaguely felt that there was something amiss with these four students. Just as he was about to say something.. locke stood up and said, “I killed their Battle Beasts because they suddenly attacked me and they had a crippling skill. I had to fight back!”
“Also! I did not beat up these four guys! Their grievous injuries have nothing to do with me!”
He then gave the four lackeys a chilling glare.
This reminded them of the events last night, and as a result, they unconsciously took a step back.
“Bang!”
The Director of Education, Charles, immediately slammed the table and pointed at Locke. “You dare to threaten these already pitiful students in front of me?”

Charles’ serious expression made the students sitting in the corner laugh secretly.
“Hahaha! His acting is getting better and better…”
“This guy is the White Family’s lapdog. At his level of strength and his age, how can he become the Director of Education otherwise?”
“Old man White probably hired him to protect these two siblings…”
Alice crossed her legs and threw a provocative look at Locke.
However, it maddened her even further when Locke chose to ignore her.
“I’ll say it one more time! The death of the Battle Beasts is a result of my rightful retaliation! However, I’ve never beaten up these guys!” After saying that, Locke sat down.
He looked indifferent. After all, he had done nothing wrong.
“Hmph! There are witnesses in here! You still dare to deny these charges?” Charles walked to Locke, raised his eyebrows and said, “Do you know what are the consequences of breaking the rules as a newcomer? You will be expelled!!”
In truth, Charles knew very well just what kind of person his young master was. This was not the first time such a thing had happened, after all.
However, as long as Adrian willed it, Charles would need to think of a way to get rid of his eyesores. After all, it was the order of his master, Old Man White!
He reckoned that Locke would beg to stay anytime soon. After all, this was the Federation’s best academy! It was not a place where one could enter!
Moreover, Charles had no grievances with Locke. Once Locke admitted his mistake, Charles would do some mental gymnastics on Adrian and let Locke go. With that, the matter would be settled.
Otherwise, he would need to come up with some long-winded explanation for the principal!
However, upon hearing his threat, Locke immediately took off the school emblem and placed it on the table.

“I said I didn’t do it, so I didn’t do it! If you still want to threaten and slander me, then I won’t stay in this dirty place any longer!!”
Alas, Charles was met with a tough nut this time!
“Sigh! What on earth is going on here? Don’t be rash, kid. Let’s investigate the matter first before jumping to conclusions!”
Albert had already learned of Locke’s potential through Jacques. As an instructor who was fond of talented students, Albert immediately walked down from the podium, picked up Locke’s school emblem, and stuffed it back into his hand.
“Mr. Albert! Please take note of your position! Since when are you allowed to interrupt your superiors?” Charles was very dissatisfied with Albert’s interruption.
“Come to the office with me!” After giving Albert a warning glance, Charles then asked both Locke and the lackeys to follow him to his office.
As they headed out, Charles exchanged glances with Adrian.
“Hold it in, kid…”Albert held Locke’s wrist and urged.
However, Charles was not the only one who was heading towards his office.
Trista, who had caught wind of the incident, also rushed there with someone.
“Locke, if you are willing to admit your mistake, I will consider forgiving you!” Charles sat on his leather chair, which made squeaky sounds.
Locke rubbed his ears and looked at the four people who were standing in the corner. He said, “I’m willing to apologize. But do they dare to accept it?”
Hearing this, sweat immediately rolled down the four lackey’s faces, and they subconsciously took a step back.
“You still dare to threaten your classmates!!” Charles slammed the table again and stood up.
At that instance, Trista arrived! She pushed the door open and said, “Charles! Let’s make some things clear first. I believe that Locke is innocent here!”
“Trista! How many times have I told you? Please knock when you come in! Don’t think that you can ignore your superior just because you’re my senior!”
Charles and Trista seemed to be old acquaintances.
“Diana? Aren’t you on a business trip?” Charles looked at a woman behind Trista in confusion.
“A business trip is not the same as being fired! The principal requested me to return! And so I did, I arrived last night…”
The woman named Diana was dressed in a black business suit. Although she had her hair in a bun and her spectacles had thick black frames, it was obvious that she was a beauty.
Anyone who could see would say that she was a beauty!
“My Battle Beasts were out on patrol last night. I’m very clear about the incident of the Gold District’s restaurant. This student named Locke is in the right! As for the four students, they’re lying to you…”
For some reason, Diana’s words seemed to make Charles nervous.
He said, “Is… Is that so? Do you have any evidence?”
“Of course! Why would I spout such nonsense otherwise?” Diana closed her eyes and summoned her Battle Beasts.
A moment later, five owls of different colors flew into the office.
“I’m sure you’re aware of my Battle Beast’s abilities! Since you’re threatening to expel him, I think it’s best to make things clear beforehand!”
With that, she drew the curtains. Then, the five cute owls looked at the white wall and emitted light from their eyes.
Soon, it was a projection appeared on the wall…
