Chapter 130: 130
Chapter 130: Consider Yourself Unlucky
“Alpha Federation University?” Locke was not familiar with the institution.
However, the other party’s offer was quite tempting.
“How about it? If you want to join, then kill the two guys in the other carriage and we’ll leave immediately!” The middle-aged man felt that he had read Locke’s thoughts.
However, Locke immediately shook his head. He answered with a troubled expression, “No, no… I still have a lot of things to do at the Federal Academy. Besides, you look too wretched. I’m someone who likes food. If I see you often, my appetite will be affected!”
This was a personal attack!
The middle-aged man was so angry that his entire body began to tremble!
However, Locke was not lying. Hobrick seemed to be hiding something from everyone. He wanted to find out the truth, and learn more about the Divine Class.
Moreover, what kind of outstanding resources would the Alpha Federation University even provide? Locke had been doing fine .
‘How much resources would they provide? And for how long?’
Locke would rather obtain the resources himself.
As such, he felt that it was better to stay in the Federation’s Advanced Beastmaster Academy.
“You’ll meet your end here, then!” Just as the middle-aged man finished speaking, the lights in the train began to flicker non-stop.
Taking advantage of the sudden change in environment, the middle-aged man leaped out of the carriage via the skylights.
“Lil’ Wind!”
Gale Wings immediately appeared, and Infinite Fire Element cut open a hole directly above Locke.
Upon heading up, Locke was greeted by the sight of a fluorescent pink butterfly that was as along as the carriage.
It almost covered the entire carriage from head to toe!
“So this is your Battle Beast…” Locke looked at the middle-aged man standing in the distance.

There was a lot of mist being emitted from the butterfly’s body, and its color was constantly changing.
‘He must’ve already taken control of all the carriages and the passengers within.’
Locke did not think too much and immediately launched an attack.
He fired Hurricane Piercer forward.
Despite the butterfly’s size, it was very agile. With a leap, it had dodged Locke’s attack!
Boom!
Hurricane Piercer had hit a train track some distance away.
The butterfly attached itself to the train again, and it continued to release poisonous gas of various colors into the carriage.
Lil’ Flame had transformed itself into a set of armor and weapons.
The middle-aged man had already investigated Locke beforehand. As such, he was certain that he would not be able to beat Locke in a head-on duel.
“Locke! I’m warning you! My Battle Beast will release all kinds of poisonous gas! There are hundreds of civilians in this carriage. If you still want to save them, surrender, and exchange your life for the lives of these hundreds of people!”
The train was very fast and Locke was not used to it. That was the reason for why he had missed his Hurricane Piercer earlier.
Without paying heed to his opponent’s words, once he had steadied himself, Locke launched another Hurricane Piercer at the butterfly!
Boom!
He missed again!
“Are you crazy? I will kill really these people!” The middle-aged man was very confused. In his opinion, Locke, who had a great reputation in the Holy City, was one who had a great sense of justice!
‘He doesn’t actually care?’
While the middle-aged man was in a daze, Locke had already raised his sword and lunged forward!
“Damn it!” The middle-aged man pulled out the two daggers at his waist and started to engage Locke in melee combat.

Two minutes later, Locke kicked his opponent away, and once again, there was some distance between them.
“Locke! This is all on you! They will all die because of you! Before long, the hero of the Holy City will soon become a demon!” The middle-aged man knew that Locke was not his match, and as such, he was already readying mana to escape.
“Hehe… it doesn’t matter. They are not my family, so why should I care about them? I never said that I was a hero,” Locke said with a smile.
The middle-aged man was startled by Locke’s heartlessness.
He did not expect the hero of the Holy City’s true personality to be like this.
While Locke spoke, Lil’ White had already circled around the carriage.
“Release!” The middle-aged man shouted. The huge butterfly’s body turned purple. It was ready to release poisonous gas into the carriage.
However, at this moment, Lil’ White’s eyes flashed red in the darkness. It struck the butterfly with Light and Dark Spatial Slash!
Realizing that his Battle Beast had turned into an ice sculpture, the middle-aged man quickly jumped into the carriage.
“Trying to run?” Locke had no intention to let him escape. As such, he quickly gave chase.
However, Locke soon discovered himself in a carriage filled with regular passengers.
With the butterfly now dead, the sleeping gas had disappeared, and as a result, the people were gradually waking up.
“What happened?”
“Why is it dark…”
“I’m so sleepy…”
“This young man seems to be Locke…”
The passengers started talking, and some of them even recognized Locke.
Locke understood that the disgusting fellow was also inside, pretending to have just woken up.
‘I’m wearing high heels currently. He shouldn’t be able to tell, right…’ Someone muttered to themselves.
Locke felt a headache coming on.
He dug his ears and looked at these people one by one.
“Mr. Locke, I admire you very much! Can I have your autograph?” A tall man handed him a pen and paper.
A smile immediately appeared on Locke’s face.
He clenched his fist tightly and waved his hand, slamming it into the other party’s face!
This tall man was completely unable to withstand this powerful fist force, and he kept vomiting blood on the ground!
All the passengers were shocked by this scene, and they all shrunk their necks.
“Oh my God!”
“Oh my God! Locke, why did you randomly injure someone?”
“He only asked for your autograph!”
“Looks like he was beaten quite badly…”
However, a sharp-eyed passenger immediately pointed at the tall man on the ground and said, “Look! He seems to be changing!”
At this moment, everyone’s faces showed an even more surprised expression.
In just a few breaths, the originally thin and tall man actually turned into a middle-aged man with a wretched appearance!
“Locke… you… How did you see through it…” The middle-aged man felt indignant and asked while vomiting blood and trembling.
With his hands spread wide open, Locke said, “I didn’t see through it! You faked it very well!”
The middle-aged man was even more puzzled. “You… Are you kidding me? Aren’t you afraid of hurting innocent people?”
Locke squatted down and said, “Do you know what I was thinking when I was looking for you just now?”
“I’ll beat up anyone who approaches me first!”

Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.
