Chapter 184: 184
Chapter 184: First Time in Heavenly Prefecture
Hobrick had already thought about it for five days. In the end, he decided to take Locke to the palace, hoping to solve this crisis.
The other professors and instructors did not understand why did this matter need to be considered for so many days. It was because it was an honor to apply to visit the palace.
However, Hobrick had already communicated with them, so they did not delve further.
Hobrick looked at the people in the tent and said, “I’ve already called Secretary Peter. There should be no problem with the application to go to the palace. I think there will be a reply later. Locke and I will set off tomorrow…”
“Don’t worry, we’ll keep an eye on the academy. I hope Locke is fine!” Tristan knew that his instructor rarely did things that he was not sure of.
Only Jacques was thinking, ‘Why is the old man so confident that he can go to the palace? Such applications are often rejected…’
Diana smiled and said, “Don’t worry! Only a few of us know about this from the beginning to the end. We’ll keep it a secret!”
Hobrick forced a smile and got up to leave.
At this moment, Locke was happy because of the three billion federal coins he had received from selling a batch of artworks! He made a phone call to ask Dickens had prepared the materials that he needed.
The so-called materials were for the advancement of Cries of Wind and Flame.
“Boss! There’s only one thing left! It’ll be here in a week at most…” Dickens was very smart. He never knew why Locke wanted these things. He just did his job well.
“Knock! Knock, knock, knock…”
At this moment, there was a knock on the door.

After Locke hung up the phone, he opened the door and saw that it was Principal Hobrick.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t there no classes today?” Although he was impatient, Locke had already made way for the living room.
This was the first time Hobrick visited Locke’s home. His parents were not around, so Locke brought a cup of coffee.
“Child, do you want to go out with me?” Hobrick did not reveal Locke’s current dangerous situation, but changed to a kind lie.
The old man was a famous explorer on the continent and the knowledge learned from going out with him was not something that could be measured with money. It could not be learned in class either.
“You should tell me earlier! I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time! When do we leave?” Locke’s eyes were filled with anticipation.
“Tomorrow… Tomorrow at noon.” Hobrick revealed a kind smile.
“Where are we going?”
“The Royal Palace…”
Locke was stunned for a second and asked warily, “Why are we going there? Is the Royal Palace very interesting?”
Hobrick stood up, smiled, and said, “Of course! There are many rare things there! The most valuable and rarest treasures in the entire continent are all there! Don’t you think it’s interesting? Moreover, anyone who entered the Royal Palace would be able to receive some gifts from His Majesty the King when they leave! It’s very precious and rare! How is it? Not bad, right?”
Hearing this, Locke’s interest was piqued.
When Twin-headed White Jade Snake had advanced, he discovered that after a Battle Beast advanced to tier 4, the materials needed were not something that could be gathered with money alone.
If there were so many rare treasures in the palace, it would definitely be worth it to get a few at the same time!

Moreover, the palace was the center of the entire Federation. It was only right to broaden one’s horizons!
“Alright! Then it’s settled! Tomorrow at noon!” However, Locke thought about it and immediately said, “But the palace is in the Heavenly Prefecture. It’s too far. Shall we take a car?”
Hobrick spread his hands. “There’s nothing we can do about it. Let’s take a plane. The plane will be faster!”
At the mention of the word “plane”, Locke immediately reacted. He decided to trouble Adelaide again.
After the call was made, not only did Adelaide not find it troublesome but he was also overjoyed!
“Oh my God! We can go to the palace? Isn’t that great? Mr. Locke, listen to me, do me a favor! I’ll send two more planes to follow your plane! The things inside are my gift to His Majesty the King! I’ll see if I can find a way to lift the curse on my family…”
The items in the two planes must be rare treasures as they were really rich.
It was great to be the king! No one needed to ask for those valuables and they could personally send the things over!
After sending off Hobrick, Locke’s parents came back and after hearing the news, they were in joy!
Dinner was spent in the excited tears of Locke’s parents.
“Thank God for such a wonderful son…”
“My God, if my dad were alive, he’d be able to get out of his wheelchair!”

The Devil's own sins
Writer updates available for free on patreon. The following account, dear reader, is a recollection and retelling of the story of the first imp. The last devil born from the original primordial pit at the dawn of time, and the lowliest speck of that first generation. It recounts the tale of Thozronnath the pitiful and his steady rise from obscurity, perpetually stuck as a punching bag for his betters until the day hell itself spat him out. The information presented here is pieced together from eye-witness reports and second hand hearsay, sometimes from creatures with more than two hands. I can not tell you with any degree of accuracy how much of it is true as it begins long before our time and it's true ending lies far unto the future still. I can tell you one thing though, it was confusing as hell. Cover: Illustration for John Milton's Paradise Lost by Gustave Doré (1866), a thankfully public domain image. Currently on hiatus. The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.

Rise
20 years have passed since the Chaos Energy Quake rippled through the Milky Way Galaxy. During the year-long Quake, Chaos Energy became unusable, rendering much of the galaxy’s technology useless, and preventing Chaotics – beings who possess supernatural abilities – from using their powers. The galaxy has since moved on from the Quake, but to this day no one knows what could have caused it. The only broadly possible hints lie with the woefully few Chaotics born during the Quake, such as the seven Chaotics born on the world of Nimalia, homeworld of the Nimalian Territories. The other galactic civilizations see little correlation between the Quake and those born during it, but now that the seven have reached the age of 20, some Nimalians think they may be able to finally learn exactly what caused the galactic disruption two decades ago…
