Chapter 207: 207
Chapter 207: The Fall of the Royal Family
After a miserable shriek, Gilbert was saved.
However, the griffin was heavily injured and they were forced back to the area where Blazing Skies had been released.
As expected, the Golden Dragon was an intelligence-type Battle Beast and it seemed to understand its master’s mind very well!
To Locke, this was even more practical than upgrading another Battle Beast!
Dragons were indeed one of the strongest Battle Beasts!
Gilbert was getting hotter and hotter. He realized that Locke seemed to have created some kind of terrifying trap in this area! However, he could not see it!
It could not be the stars in the sky, right?
No matter what, he should leave this place!
However, what Gilbert did not realize was that the feathers on the griffin’s legs had already begun to burn!
Gilbert’s orders were not immediately executed.
The griffin was in pain and kept flapping its wings. The skills it released earlier had blown up the buildings on the ground into a mess!
As for Locke, he just stood in the distance and watched the scene unfold quietly.
“Go! Go! Leave this area!” Gilbert punched the head of his Battle Beast twice in a row, hoping that it would wake up a little!
The king’s attire had also started to burn. Gilbert took off his clothes and his eyes were filled with shock!
However, the griffin had no way of leaving this place. It was already in a bad state and the powerful Golden Dragon was using Dragon Flames to prevent it from fleeing!
The griffin was now afraid of fire!
Looking at the panic-stricken look of the group of masters and servants, Locke knew that the battle was about to end!
The nobles on the ground who had rushed over noticed that there was a ball of fire burning in the air. Was it not this their master’s Battle Beast?
Although it was fast approaching the 30-minute-limit, Hobrick’s attack was still very fierce!

Once these guys were distracted, they were beaten up again!
The griffin could not escape from the cage that was invisible to the naked eye!
The originally tough feathers on its body were constantly melting and disintegrating!
It could only fly around, screaming in pain!
Gilbert looked even more miserable! The only king of the Federation continent known as the King of Wind City, the ruler of ten thousand people, had already taken off all his clothes!
Gilbert was just like a shirtless uncle! If he were to find out that there was anyone in Wind City who dared to walk on the streets like this, according to his designated laws, he would have to chop off his right foot!
When Gilbert had realized that this was a fire element attack, he originally wanted to jump down from the griffin and let the other two griffins receive him!
Even if there was a risk of falling to his death, Gilbert was willing as it was better than being burned to death!
However, when he took a closer look, Hobrick’s wood elemental had already trapped the other two Battle Beasts firmly on the ground, just like a bird in a cage!
What was more hateful was that the Golden Dragon kept wandering around the area of the Blazing Skies!
It was like a doorman who did not allow them to leave!
It even spat out flames from its mouth from time to time as if it was trying to scare him!
Was the griffin not going to be burned to death?
Just as Gilbert was hesitating, the Golden Griffin had already lost most of its feathers and its flying ability had begun to falter!
This time, it was not that it was unwilling! It was because the conditions did not allow it to fly anymore!
As Gilbert slowly fell, he had closed his eyes, waiting for the Golden Dragon’s fatal flame! He gradually felt his body getting colder. He continued to fall from the sky.

Locke did not intend to let Gilbert die just like that! This death was too easy for him, who had cruelly punished and harmed the citizens of Wind City!
Locke watched as Gilbert and a huge bird that had been completely burnt fell heavily to the ground.
The nobles’ fantasies of receiving rewards of lands in Holy City were also shattered along with their king!
The situation before their eyes was something they had never expected even in their dreams.
They put down their resistance and knelt on the ground.
At this moment, the strengthening of Hobrick’s three Battle Beasts also ended.
Hobrick was also a little exhausted, so he simply stopped attacking.
Locke came to a ruin.
Looking at the half-cooked griffin, he laughed. “Hehe… It’s similar to a roasted chicken. It doesn’t even have any spices so it definitely won’t taste good…”
Gilbert’s hair, beard, and eyebrows were all gone. His chest had been pierced by a steel bar used for construction!
Blood kept spurting out of his mouth and his voice became softer and softer.
“Lo… Locke… You… D*mn it…”
Gilbert was about to die but he was still cursing Locke.
Locke did not care at all. He knew that this was the last thing Gilbert could say.
Before he died, Gilbert had never thought that in just half a day, his family had fallen here.
That charming throne could only be found in hell!
At this moment, the bold commoners who had been watching all this time stretched out their necks.
“He’s dead?”
“That should be right…”
“Of course he’s dead! His eyes and throat aren’t moving anymore…”
“Really? Then what will happen to Wind City in the future?”
“I don’t know, but I believe that the Frederick family no longer has the ability to rule this place…”
“That’s right! Their Battle Beasts seem to have all died…”
“Sigh… So what? There will still be other nobles ruling…”
Locke was walking toward Hobrick’s direction.
The Golden Dragon was afraid that its master would be too tired, so it immediately flew down and used its head to lift Locke up.
Locke stroked its neck and said, “Lil’ Dragon! You’ve done well! I didn’t bring any gold today. I’ll let you have a full meal when I get back!”
“Roar…” The Golden Dragon growled, seemingly very happy!
With a flap of its wings, it arrived beside Hobrick and the nobles who had surrendered!
Seeing the domineering Golden Dragon, the nobles were so frightened that their pants were wet. One after another, they begged for mercy:
“Please let us go, little hero!”
“We were also coerced by the Frederick family…”
“We also hate those punishments! But we don’t have the strength to resist…”
“Spare us! We’ll do whatever you want!”
Sitting on the dragon’s back, Locke was like a king, looking down from above.
He looked at these nobles kneeling on the ground and said, “From now on, it’s not up to me to control this place! But, if you continue to play with those disgusting laws, I don’t mind coming here often!”
Locke’s reminder sounded like a threat!
It was not that Locke wanted to be a hero. He was not interested in that kind of title at all!
Locke just felt that hanging heads everywhere and chopping off people’s limbs was really disgusting! That was all!
“You guys! Go and save the citizens immediately! If I find another citizen injured or killed, then your lives shall be paid in their stead!” Hobrick hated these nobles who usually showed off their might.
These nobles immediately followed the instructions and left in a hurry.
“Old man, should I leave now?”
Hobrick stood up from the damaged beam. “What’s the rush? Why don’t you go to the castle and take a look?”
With a thought, Locke and Hobrick laughed.

System Prime
The legend of System Prime is one that has been told and retold many times over the eons. About how she, along with her trusted partner, travelled the worlds of Ahunna (a.hoon.a), sharing the [Gift of System] to all who needed it. It is a great story. Somewhat factual too. As long as you overlook the fact that System Prime was never a woman. —— If this story seems familiar to you, then congratulations, you're psychic. Well, that or you've read it before on my old account, Eli8iR, which I had to delete because of a probably silly reason that will need a shitton of weed to make me spill. If you don't recognize this story, then unfortunately you're not psychic. On the bright side though, it has been scientifically proven that reading my stories might make you psychic. Or blind. But that only happened twice, and those guys should not have badmouthed my work. Enjoy.
