Chapter 245: 245
Chapter 245: You and I, We Need to End This
“It’s really spectacular! But there are still some areas that need to be strengthened! It can even be higher!”
There were still many deficiencies in the surrounding city walls and they needed more materials to fill them.
“That’s right! So, we still need a lot of money…” Deborah took off her black-rimmed glasses and threw them on the ground. She looked at Locke and said, “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to wait for your hundreds of billions. Why don’t we end it here…”
Locke had already found out this morning that Deborah had seen through his fake identity.
The reason was very simple.
Although Belinda’s room had been cleaned, the unique fragrance on her body could not be dispersed in time.
As a sister who grew up together, there was no reason for Deborah not to notice it.
“I’ve never looked down on those boring men, but you’re different… You’re even more mysterious than me. This has piqued my interest. After getting close to you, I found that I was changing. I longed to be with you for a long time, very much…” Deborah said as her Battle Beast appeared beside her.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to remain rational and calm to lead the organization properly. Love and misfortune often come at the same time…”
Deborah’s eyes kept changing, sometimes cold, sometimes gentle, and sometimes confused.
She was not sure when she had fallen in love with Locke. Perhaps it was when he saw through her identity or when they were testing each other out or when they were playing with each other with their hearts open.
Deborah would probably never forget all these sweet memories in her lifetime.
Not only had Locke never revealed his true identity but he also had a purpose in getting close to her.

This made Deborah very sad. She did not have the confidence to control her feeling and she also did not have the confidence to control “Mr. Casey” in front of her.
Therefore, she chose to complete everything last night, leaving no regrets!
Now, it was time to end everything.
“You have to tell me your real name…” The tail of the Battle Beast, Peacock King gradually unfolded like a jade palace fan. The eye spots on the tail feathers reflected light, like countless small mirrors.
Locke was still smiling. He did not answer as if he had not understood her state of mind.
This woman was very strong and her character was also very determined.
However, in reality, these were just masks and disguises that she had forced on herself. It was just to prevent herself from being hurt.
Deep down, Deborah was no different from her sister, Belinda.
“I won’t let you be poisoned to death. That would be too miserable. You’ll turn into light, dust, and stay with me in this Water City forever…” Deborah’s eyes were filled with tears and the mana in her body was surging.
“You’re very similar to your sister, Hathaway!” Locke called out Deborah’s real name.
Hathaway’s face was filled with a beautiful smile. “Please don’t compare me to that trash. She’s a girl who will never grow up…”
“No, no, no! You’re all the same. You’re very insecure. Maybe you’re more serious than her! After all, one person has to face so many things and there’s no one to discuss with. In comparison, your sister is much more cheerful!”
Locke was not afraid of the other party’s Battle Beast. It was just an epic rank and he did not even need to take it seriously.
“Shut up! How can I be weaker than her! I’m about to take control of Water City and control everything here! Even the royal family doesn’t dare to offend me! This is an extraordinary achievement! With Water City, I’ll create a brand-new order! I’ll find more famous doctors for my Master! Only I can save my master and save this rotten continent! Only I!”

The more Hathaway spoke, the more excited she became. As soon as she finished speaking, a beam of light shot out from the “mirror” at the back of Peacock King’s tail!
“Boom!”
With Body Tempering, Locke easily dodged the attack, which was not much of a threat.
“You’re a Beastmaster…” Hathaway frowned slightly as she commanded her Battle Beast to shoot out a few more beams of light!
The colors of these beams of light were as beautiful as a rainbow but they were able to break a thick tree!
…
At the same time, Miles, the captain of Royal Secret Service First Division and his team member, Sean, were standing in front of the city hall of Water City, watching a strange scene!
Countless citizens poured onto the streets and headed in this direction.
The originally lively voting day had now become strangely quiet and strange.
The citizens’ eyes were lifeless and they did not speak. They were orderly arranged in a formation, like walking corpses!

Sean had goosebumps all over his body! He had never seen such a situation before!
Miles knew that Hathaway was behind this. He immediately summoned his Mana Armor and turned into a battle robot.
“Captain! What are you doing?” Sean was a bit surprised. He thought that his captain wanted to destroy these emotionless voting machines.
The robot received the order and immediately rushed forward!
“Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang…”
Every punch landed on the stomach of the citizens!
Of course, he controlled his strength very well, just to ensure that these people would faint.
“You scared me to death…” Sean heaved a sigh of relief in his heart.
“What are you thinking about? We’re agents! We’re not executioners! Come and help!” Miles also went into battle personally…
There was nothing he could do. There were too many citizens!
“I hope Locke can solve the problem quickly…” With the Golden Cloud Pigeon feathers on his body, Miles naturally knew where his team members were.
…
In front of the city gates of Water City.
Hathaway had sensed the commotion at the voting venue through her Battle Beast.
She looked at Locke, who had once again dodged the beam attack and said, “Looks like you royal agents aren’t that cruel. However, your companions’ luck ends here. There are quite a few Beastmasters in the Chamber of Commerce…”
To be on the safe side, Hathaway had arranged for some Beastmasters to rush to the city hall.
“Make your move. There won’t be any regrets between us anymore!” Hathaway’s Battle Beast’s attacks became more and more vigorous.
Locke also summoned his Infinite Fire Element, which transformed into his Fire Armor.
He was too lazy to dodge anymore. It was not painful at all anyway.
“I’ve underestimated you!” Hathaway noticed that Locke had been hiding his strength all this time.
Just as she was about to let the Battle Beast use a stronger skill, a black shadow quickly approached them!
“Hehe… You’re finally here.” Looking at her sister whom she had not seen for many years, Hathaway was very disdainful.
“Hathaway, are you crazy? If Master knew what you did, she’d definitely give you a lesson! Quickly let the citizens return to normal!” Belinda jumped in between the two.

Azarinth Healer
A new world with nearly unlimited possibilities. A status, classes, magic and monsters. Sounds good? Well, for Ilea it didn't come quite as expected as for some other protagonists, nor was there a king or god to welcome her. The grand quest? Well, she might figure that out someday but for now, a new world with new food is prize enough. Her fists at the ready, she's prepared to punch and get punched, however long it takes and however many limbs she might have to regrow. A story I've started writing now quite a while ago. Transported to another world, somewhat standard fantasy setting with my beginner attempts to make it dark but funny. There are Litrpg elements here but I do hope it's not too heavy and annoying. The fights should be interesting and aren't just numbers vs numbers. Contrary to the title the protagonist will be quite an offensive fighter. Ilea Spears is your average sarcastic kick-boxing fast food worker and soon to be student. She will be transported to another world rather conventionally and will be confronted with survival in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. My experience is incredibly lacking. If you find yourself hating it early on, do convey your anger in a detailed comment or review :) I want to get better but without any feedback it's simply quite difficult. Quick heads up: Around chapter 120 there are a bunch of longer PoV changes that I discontinued again shortly after. The Arc around chapters 150-200 is darker than the rest and the themes shift quite a bit. Just know that it goes back to what you've come to know after that section. Thank you for reading. Quick update June 2019: Many complaints regarding the formatting, specifically spacing in conversations and of course the usage of the present tense in the first 36 chapters have been addressed. I'm of course learning by the day but compared to how it was before it should be an improvement at least. Chapters usually around 3k words Cover art by Kevin Catalan

The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
