Chapter 434: Black Rose’s Decision
Chapter 434: Black Rose’s Decision
11:30 AM in the game, 10 kilometers outside of Silvermoon City, groups of transport vehicles were travelling in the direction towards Silvermoon City .
“Finally we can start the fight, but damn that we still have to go through a round of quarantine after returning, plus we’d be revived at a nearby city if we died, losing Silvermoon City’s residence permit . ”
In a spacious heavy SUV, Security Door in a metal can-like heavy armor, sitting at the next-to-driver’s seat, complained .
“It’s okay, at least this time we didn’t need to spend Medal Points to enter the plot region . Not only are the players of other cities unable to enter in these two days, but they also need Medals and at least a Corporal rank to enter locked regions in the future . The speed of depreciation of the Permanent Enhancement Potion wouldn’t be as quick as previously imagined, the returns from clearing zombies should be able to cover up for yesterday’s losses . ” Oppositely, Alarm sitting at the driver’s seat expressed a contrasting anticipation and satisfaction towards the system .
“Eh, Old Dan, why aren’t you saying anything? What are you thinking about?” Security Door turned back to ask the quiet Dan Hen seated at the back .
“If we fail in reclaiming the city this time, then what would happen to the Veterans Tribe after that?” Dan Hen raised his head, the expression on his scarred face was stern .
“F*ck, the fight hasn’t even begun and you’re saying such things that affect soldiers’ emotions . Military judge, quickly, drag this person trying to corrupt the soldiers out to be shot . ” Security Door said impatiently . But seeing Dan Hen looking at him with stern eyes, his expression changed back to being proper as he spoke . “If we really lose this time, I’ll first reduce my rank down to Corporal and go to Silvermoon City everyday to kill the Roaring Dragon Mercenary players . I’ll kill at least 10 each day, until they curse their mothers and list me as wanted . ”
“Boss, as a Heavy Armored Warrior with no output, are you really able to kill 10?” Alarm said, instantly shooting him down without any respect for his reputation while driving the SUV .
“F*ck, I’ll kill those low-level players until there’s no more newbies joining the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, cut off their bloodlines . ” Security Door said with gritted teeth, glaring at him .
“Alright, you can…but you haven’t been training up your rank, you’re still a low-rank soldier . To train to Corporal, you’d probably need at least a month, so this plan would have to wait a month . ”

“I can, only 17 points to Corporal!”
Alarm said with his fingers raised and calculating, ignoring the threat in Security Door’s eyes .
“F*ck, you little brat showing-off…Old Dan, you’re close to Brother Feng, do you know how he raised his rank so quickly?” Security Door was violent as he turned back to ask Dan Hen in the backseat .
“Not very sure, perhaps from Hidden Missions . ” Dan Hen shook his head; he definitely would not know about this, as even Feng Luo was a little perplexed .
“Might be the reward given by the system after being the first at Force Awakening?” Ion Flame suggested .
“This is possible, heard that the clue to Death Roar’s Hidden Profession Firearms Expert Mission was rewarded by the system for being first to reach Level 50 . ” Ultimate Heavy Armor nodded approvingly .
“Alright, until then, our target is to think of an all out battle plan as soon as possible, then go to Silvermoon City and kill low-level players . ” Security Door said aggressively, staring at Alarm .
But clearly, no one would believe his words .
The chance was practically equivalent to impossible in this game of an entire 20 billion players .
……
In the line of vehicles at the front, a group of Veterans Tribe army ruffian players were spouting all sorts of nonsense .
In a women’s Energy SUV in the middle of the line, Black Rose having a conversation with a player .
“What you said is true?” There was shock and disbelief shown on Black Rose’s face .
“Definitely true, Big Sister, this matter has already been announced on the guild’s internal channel . This Tyrant-controlling movement was initially to be a secret, but because the mission NPC had been killed by that mysterious Sniper, the news had been posted onto the main channel by some frustrated people . ” The player in the Communicator was a Light Armored Warrior with a Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group dragon-head insignia on his chest .
“Tyrant-controlling…” Black Rose inhaled, gladness flashing across her eyes .
Luckily, this mission had been disrupted . If not, it would have been very difficult to disrupt even with the huge number of Elite players driven out from the city, and even if one knew about the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group wanting to take advantage of Tyrants .
That way, the effect on the Silvermoon City camp defense-offense battle would be detrimental .
“What happened after that? What happened to the mysterious Sniper? The Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group would definitely use all they’ve got to hunt him down, right?” Black Rose asked .

“Heh, you definitely won’t guess the following situation . The Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group deployed 1000 people on the hunt, and in the end, not only did they not catch that Sniper, but more than 10 people had been killed consecutively by him during the chase . ” The “uncover” player in the Communicator had joy on his face . “He killed Heavy Armored Warriors with all Rare equipment on them with just one shot, even Manipulators who had engaged a forcefield were also dead in one shot; and when shooting Light Armored Warriors, every shot was a five-digit damage! Big Sister, that Sniper is the expert player we invited, right? Just which Sniper player is he on the ranking? Snipe God? Bullet Emperor? Or is it that most mysterious Ghost Spy…”
Black Rose did not answer this question, as an ID and a face appeared in her mind .
Someone with the capability of slaying Heavy Armored Warriors and hit horrifying five-digit damage… In the entire game, there was that Sniper who had already awakened his Force and was in Silvermoon City, who could do it .
Those so-called star players on the rankings perhaps had shooting skills and ability, but definitely would not have such a supremely high damage .
A few seconds later, Black Rose put down the Communicator, seeing the ID on the screen but was unable to pick up due to the disrupted connection, her eyes showing deep thought .
“If it’s really him, then this entire Silvermoon City Federation camp is considered to have owed him a favor . ” Thinking about it, Black Rose engaged her Communicator once more . “Inform Old Gun and the others to wait till it’s 12:00, after coming online, remember to immediately act according to the plan, help with all they can . ”
……
Half an hour later, in Silvermoon City .
The scorching noon sun shone on the streets full of cars and blackish-red bloodstained buildings as well as dumb-eyed, slow-swaying, uncountable zombies .
The Lickers, whose eyes had already deteriorated, liked to hide in dark places like in car boots and canals .
When it reached noon, huge amounts of players came online suddenly in Silvermoon City with bright flashes of light .
“Kill!”
“Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, you kids, your grandfather is here, quick come out and welcome!”
“F*ck, so many zombies . Help, help!”
“Everyone, form groups, don’t mistake your own people!”
“Level 50 Scouts, bring teams to clear monsters and clear the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, the teams already have high-level medics, full-level Machine Gunners, lacking Warriors, lacking shield!”
All sorts of players yelling mixed with noises of opened fire at zombies turned the area into chaos .
During the Biohazard Crisis plot yesterday, at least one-fifth of the players in Silvermoon City had not came online . Now that the Veterans Tribe have coordinated for everyone to come online at noon, they filled the entire city in an instant .
Compared to the players, the population of zombies was still far higher .
The zombies which were initially decreasingly hungry, after this situation now, their grayish-white eyes instantly regained the spark of hunger one by one, and they reached out their hands full of blackish-red bloodstains and mouths open wide as they rushed at the players coming online .
“Ping, ping!”
“Boom!”
“Da, da, da…”
Compared to last night, the players coming online were prepared this time . They formed teams the moment they came online, then climbed up tall buildings to open the gap between them and the zombies, accumulating their firepower to go up against the crawling Lickers in the buildings .
Last night, the players were placed at a complete disadvantage in front of the zombies largely due to the suddenness of the situation, as well as the visual horror and the support and push from the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group .
But going through half a day of preparation, although many of the players were unreliable, they were still more relevant when it came to the critical points of monsters like zombies, Lickers, and Tyrants .
Especially when many of the players in the Silvermoon City forum truly had experience . With the propaganda of the guilds of the Veterans Tribe advertisement, they were definitely much more reliable than those forums .
With the players already knowing how to go up against the zombies, it was naturally impossible for the battle to have that kind of outcome like last night .
Once it was noon, after two or three minutes, Silvermoon City had transformed into a battleground filled with player and zombie pandemonium of gunshots and Energy explosions everywhere .
After five minutes, at a region near the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s secret base, there were some players with Veterans Tribe insignia on their chests moving towards a certain direction for gathering .
Since the number of people coming online was too high at that time, and with all sorts of battle and chaos, it had resulted in the guarding Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players who were watching in the city-wide surveillance office not noticing this circumstance that was not really eye-catching .

The Huntsman's Quest (An Urban Magic Quest/RPG)
Jon Whitaker went to summer camp expecting a nice relaxing time as a newly minted counselor in training. He was not expecting to fight an army of monsters, work with a serial killer, enter a one-sided friendship with an eldritch horror, or study under a competing witch and dark lord. But regardless of what he was expecting, his summer is over and he's made his way back home where he can try and return to a normal -for him- life. Too bad life rarely goes as expected. --- Please Note: This is forum quest/RPG I run in the same city/setting as my other stories Hacking Reality and Get Ink'd, meaning that while a majority of the plot is made up by me, the major choices as well as what each chapter is about are usually made by the actual readers in forum votes. Additionally, given how this is essentially a story version of a Tabletop game there is also a background RPG system that while the characters aren't necessarily aware of, the readers can see these stats to know how each chosen 'Action' effects their character's development.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
