Chapter 576: Broken Serpent Fang

“Energy Formation!”

Just as the name implied, the Energy Formation skill was a special skill that allowed the user to bend and manipulate energy into a certain “model.”

Manipulators extract the energy particles from energy crystals through the skill, and by using their energy converters, manipulators would be able to transform the energy into different shapes. Moreover, the “models” formed by this skill had structures that allowed them to contain defensive stat that helped block energy attacks.

Theoretically, after learning this skill, a manipulator would enjoy a higher degree of combat freedom, as they could become like real wizards or magicians and create fire birds, fire dragons, ice tigers, cloud leopards, and all kinds of magnificent “animal models.” They could even completely alter the environment of a region within a certain range.

Moreover, these energy “models” were not only for show, they also possess burning or freezing attack or defense effects.

As such, from the skill’s description, one could tell that this Level 15 skill was undoubtedly one of those regarded as a “godly skill.”

However, the number of players with this skill on their skills tab was very limited, as the skill’s familiarity level was too hard to increase.

Compared to the same Level 15 basic skills such as the Fireball or Wind Blade, Energy Formation’s skill familiarity progress was slower by more than ten times.

The speed for casting the “Energy Formation” skill was closely associated with the skill’s familiarity level.

If the familiarity level of the skill was too low, even creating a simple fireball would take a few seconds, so there was no need to even mention a fire dragon or an ice tiger.

Even a fireball created by a high familiarity Energy Formation skill would be far weaker than a normal Fireball skill at the same familiarity level. However, the energy consumed and the casting time were a few times higher.

At the beginning when the server was just starting out, many manipulators learned this general basic skill; however, as time went on, due to the above two reasons, many had chosen to give up on it and had returned to their respective profession’s skill.

Due to this, Feng Luo rarely saw any manipulator player still with the skill.

In particular, the Earth Manipulator who just aided them. His Energy Formation skill’s familiarity level was definitely very high. He managed to create an energy earth wall in the shape of a ring that was over three meters large to fix the giant Sea Serpent’s neck to the surrounding objects in the short time between the serpent biting on the shield and then spitting the shield out.

However, the giant Sea Serpent which was over 40 meters long was just too powerful.

The ring-shaped energy earth wall only stopped the movement of the giant Sea Serpent for less than two seconds. Then, it collapsed as the giant Sea Serpent wrung free from the ring.

The good thing was that in that short amount of time, Feng Luo, White Crescent, and the Heavy Armor Warrior had run into the ship’s cabin and had got out of the giant Sea Serpent’s sight.

After getting rid of the constraints that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, the Quasi-Boss giant Sea Serpent found that it had lost sight of its targets.

As such, it let out an angry hiss. Its glaring eyes were filled with anger and hate. It turned its head around to stare at a location above and on its left, and twirled its body before charging towards that location.

As a Quasi-Boss monster, while it was a monster that only possessed physical attacks, it still had the ability to easily detect the source of the energy ring that restrained its movement earlier.

“F*cking shit! What the hell is this? Multiple people are attacking you directly and you’re ignoring them. I’ve only cast a skill to restrain your movement, and you’re already targeting me!” Exclaimed a young Earth Manipulator standing inside a room that looked like a control room which was situated around ten meters above the ship’s deck. The Earth Manipulator wore a ragged yellow energy robe, and though he had a handsome face, a sense of cunning also accompanied his general feature.

Clearly, just like Feng Luo’s group, this Earth Manipulator did not expect to become the target of the giant Sea Serpent after casting a simple restraining skill.

He did not have much time to lament about that. The over 40 meters tall body of the giant Sea Serpent took up one-third of the deck’s empty space, and only needed to twirl around in the air once before its wide open mouth and savage serpent head reached in front of him.

“Crash!”

The enhanced bulletproof glass on the ceiling cracked and crumbled into tiny pieces the instant the angry giant Sea Serpent slammed into it. Even the supposedly very tough metallic wall had become deformed.

When the Quasi-Boss giant Sea Serpent’s head retracted from attacking the room, it was biting on a mud-yellow “ball.”

To be precise, it was a person surrounded by an earth energy shield. Within that energy shield was the young Earth Manipulator player.

“Hiss!”

The giant Sea Serpent released a terrible stench from within its throat. Its lower jaw moved as it forced its jaw to snap shut.

It had finally shown the true aggressiveness and viciousness of snakes.

“Crack!”

However, unexpectedly, when the giant Sea Serpent’s jaw snapped shut, the thing that was crushed was not the Earth Manipulator’s energy shield. Instead, one of its curved and sharp fangs that broke a Light Armor Warrior’s body in half earlier cracked and broke into pieces.

The fangs of serpents were, after all, not the fangs of real beasts. Their main function was not to bite their prey.

A blade-shaped fang that was so long was very easily broken!

However, even the giant Sea Serpent would never have predicted that the thing that broke its fang was not a fully armored Light Armor Warrior or an alloy shield that weighed over hundreds of kilograms, but instead it was the energy shield of an Earth Manipulator.

“Hiss!”

With one fang broken, fresh blood started to flow from its mouth.

The giant Sea Serpent swung its head violently as it felt the insufferable pain, and spat the Earth Manipulator out from its mouth into the ocean.

Coincidentally, the direction where the Earth Manipulator was thrown was where Feng Luo and White Crescent were just a while ago.

“Formation – Earth Blockade!”

If it were any other player, they would probably be at their wits end by then.

They would likely have to accept their fate; to obediently fall into the ocean and face the Level 55 Quasi-Boss Shark Turtle still chasing the military ship.

However, this Earth Manipulator still had something to save himself.

He held tightly onto his energy converter. There was a sudden flash of yellow light, and the energy shield that had shielded him and withstood the giant serpent’s bite earlier expanded in mid-air and turned into an earth energy wall.

The earth energy wall connected with the railing at the side of the military ship and blocked the Earth Manipulator from getting thrown off the ship at the last moment.

“Pa!”

“-2044!”

As such, while the Earth Manipulator still suffered around 2,000 damage after crashing into his energy wall, he had prevented himself from falling into the ocean.

“Hiss!”

After throwing away the Earth Manipulator, the giant Sea Serpent had stopped caring about him. Instead, it had shifted its violent gaze and moved its head towards the other players on the military ship who were continuously angering it.

It twirled and moved its large 40-meter body to continue its rampage of devastating and destroying all sorts of facilities and equipment on the military ship.
