Sword Among Us Chapter 209 – Dead She-wolf’s Relics
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Whoosh!
When Red Dust rushed out of Dead She-wolf’s chamber, he saw Happy having his movements restricted by the two great sects. Red Dust moved toward him without any hesitation and stood in front of him.
“Are you okay?”
“Hehe, I’m fine now. How’s the situation inside?”
Happy heard Ji Feng’s order of retreat and knew that Ji Feng had already understood that he could not win the fight. While smiling in a relaxed manner, Happy pointed his Hundred-battle Saber to the ground and simply allowed the people from the two sects to leave.
At first, Red Dust was slightly puzzled as to why the sects chose to leave, but when he saw the corpses lying all over the ground, he found that there were more than thirty people scattered all over the floor. The surprise in his eyes grew stronger, and he stared at Happy with incredulity.
“Did you do this by yourself?”
All those people were elites and great players who knew high-tier martial arts. They were not the sect members of normal sects who differed in quality between members. Even Red Dust himself would find it impossible to take down so many elites within a short period of time.
At that moment, unduly modesty would just make him look like a hypocrite!
Happy could not find the energy to make explanations and try to defend himself either. He put away his Hundred-battle Saber and cast a glance at the people from the two sects who had fully retreated to the cave beside them.
“Fallen Feathers Sect and Perpetual Joy Sect are nothing in the end,” he said after snorting softly.
Once he said those words, he turned around and left.
Red Dust stood stunned to the ground for some time before once again sweeping his gaze over the corpses littering the ground. After a long while, he let out a remark that came from the bottom of his heart.
“He’s an elite!”
All-powerful Medicinal Stone walked over with a strange expression, and once he heard those words, he rolled his eyes and started cursing Happy. “Elite, my foot! He’s just a brat!”
Red Dust was shocked speechless.
All-powerful Medicinal Stone glared at him.
“Why are you looking at me? That elite you said asked me to come over here to clean up the battlefield. That brat… He’s young, but he sure knows how to order people around. I’m the first generation successor of Marvelous-handed Sect, and I actually have to use my skills on the dead?! That brat, he left after he killed these people and asked me to clear up the mess he left behind.

“He said he forgot and found it embarrassing to come back and pick up the loot. What a horrible excuse! ARGH! He’s such a brat!”
Once he finished speaking, All-powerful Medicinal Ston did not forget to spit on the ground in the manner of a moral person who had just said something very reasonable, all so that he could show the disdain in his heart.
After he was done, he ran over while shaking his butt and began groping about the corpses. Every time he gained something, his small eyes would sparkle and his eyebrows would twitch violently. He no longer had the upright and awe-inspiring presence from before and looked incredibly sleazy.
Red Dust stood by the side, speechless.
If it were not for the fact that he was wary that the people from the two sects would return, he really did not want to stay and watch All-powerful Medicinal Stone behave in all his sleazy glory.
Red Dust redirected his gaze and looked in the direction of the chamber with a complicated expression.
“Medicinal Stone, I have a question.”
“I’m not free to talk to you right now. You can save your questions.”
All-powerful Medicinal Stone narrowed his small eyes while he scrutinized a small golden object he had brought out from the Universe Bag of a corpse. His words were said without even turning his head as he looked completely unconcerned.
Red Dust said nothing at first. He rolled his eyes, frowned, then asked anyway, “Say, how did Happy reach that level of skill?”
In truth, he had become even more curious than before. They were both players, but how did Happy manage to do what other people could not? Every single move he took brought endless surprises to others!
“That’s a good question.” While he spoke, All-powerful Medicinal Stone tossed the small gold ingot into his bosom, looked up, and began searching through another corpse. “Once you find the answer, please send a messenger pigeon to me. I can reimburse you for the travel expenses of the message bird.”
After he finished speaking, a book appeared in his hand. He swiftly glanced through its contents, then lost interest in it.
Red Dust was completely speechless. “Aren’t you friends?”
“We met by chance. We just have a SMALL bit of friendship in terms of being comrades-in-arms.”
All-powerful Medicinal Stone’s tone was very casual, and he looked as if his heart was not even in the discussion. While shoving a large number of silver and gold notes into his bosom, he continued in an absentminded manner. “Please, if you have questions, go and ask him yourself. Speaking of which, I’ve only met him twice. I might not necessarily know him more than you do.”

“You only met him twice and you actually have the guts to form a party together? You even dared to provoke Fallen Feathers Sect and Perpetual Joy Sect?”
Red Dust turned around and stared at All-powerful Medicinal Stone. The look on his face made it seem as if that piece of news was even more unbelievable than watching Happy killing a bunch of top-tier players.
“They’re the ones who provoked us first. Don’t go reversing the order of things now.”
All-powerful Medicinal Stone finally gave him a serious answer. He glared at Red Dust and stopped acknowledging the questions he asked next, choosing to give all of his attention to looting the spoils of war.
When Red Dust did not get any answers after he questioned All-powerful Medicinal Stone more, he finally stopped pestering him.
At that moment, a piercing howl shook the cave. It originated from the chamber behind them.
“AWHOOO!!!”
The sound was sad and filled with despair, but it was also full of indignation and rage. It traveled out of the chamber and entered the ears of the players who were in the cave and tunnels outside.
The people from Fallen Feathers Sect and Perpetual Joy Sect had completely disappeared. The only ones remaining were all the people from medium-sized and small sects.
They had personally witnessed Happy defeat two great sects, and the dozens of cold corpses scattered all over the ground served as a warning for every one of them who had the desire to take the loot. None of them dared to leave their positions. They were afraid that they would cause unnecessary misunderstanding and hostility from the people inside.
However, when they heard Dead She-wolf’s howl, all of their expressions changed.
“It’s Dead She-wolf!”
“They killed Dead She-wolf!!”
“How can this be? Their party only has a few people…”
The players who understood just how powerful was Dead She-wolf were shocked, and their faces turned pale. They became even more respectful toward the people in the chamber. It was as expected of the people even Fallen Feathers Sect and Perpetual Joy Sect did not dare challenge and the person who ranked at the top of the Famous Person Rank in World of Martial Arts Secret News Log. There was indeed no need for him to behave himself wherever he went!
“Let’s go.”
“Now that Dead She-wolf is gone, there’s no need for us to continue staying in Fox Cave.”
“That’s right. The key to enter the third level is still in Solitary Perpetual Joy’s hands. That bastard…”
Most people said nothing. The sects lost interest in lingering in the area outside the chamber, and all of them left one after another.
Red Dust and All-powerful Medicinal Stone might have been very curious about what Dead She-wolf dropped after her death, but they remained standing guard and did not enter the chamber so that no one would harbor any ill intentions during such a critical moment.
*****
Once Dead She-wolf died, a grayish-white wolf in the shape of a human lay sprawled in the chamber. At the same time, it dropped a very exquisite Universe Bag. It looked like a purse that women would use; it was very pretty and eye-catching.
Happy did not hold himself back and picked up the exquisite Universe Bag. He looked into the contents of the bag, and a huge smile instantly appeared on his face.
“Our spoils are pretty good.”
He extended a hand inside and brought out a manual which he tossed at Thunderous Battle when the man moved toward him.
“Big Brother Thunder, catch!”
Thunderous Battle instinctively went to grab the book, and when he looked at it, it was Fox Monster’s Phantasmal Shadow!
He sucked in a deep breath and said in a very firm tone, “This is too valuable! I can’t accept it.”
Happy understood what Thunderous Battle was thinking and smiled faintly. “Don’t worry, those who saw the spoils will have something. No one can escape getting something. Little North, this is for you…”
He threw another manual into Little North’s hands. There were three words shining in a silver light on the manual—Illusory Spirit Body.
A high-tier body fortification manual!
