Chapter 605: Chapter 605 – Rolling Stones
Chapter 605: Rolling Stones
When Happy looked at the dark, profound, and slightly damaged tunnel ahead of him, he remembered many events from his previous life!
There was a saying in the game in his previous life .
‘There is one path in Sky Demon Secret Cave that leads to a floor full of gold, and the other that leads to the abyss underground . ’
The meaning behind it was that if they were successful in their trip, they would find rooms full of gold at the end, and it was not at all an exaggeration to describe the loot as such, but if they did not succeed, even if their reputation was not completely ruined, they would get lost . They would find themselves trapped in Sky Demon Illusion for three days and in time would die there .
Their progress was frozen for three days because of being trapped inside, dying once, and even dropping a random piece of equipment was enough to make a decent elite fall to the ranks of first-class average players .
“Let’s go . ”
When Little North saw that Sky Demon Secret Cave had completely opened, he could not suppress the excitement in his heart and urged the others to go in .
Their lineup at the entrance was insane, and he had already picked up the hidden weapons and puppet components that were priceless in the market . He was incredibly excited and only thought about how he would return with his pockets full of money once the trip ended .
In comparison, the others were much more level-headed .
All-powerful Medicinal Stone swept his gaze over the entrance before he said, “This path looks a little strange . I’ll go first . ”
“Let’s go together . The others, follow behind us . ”
Happy might have realized that All-powerful Medicinal Stone’s was great with mechanisms, but there were a lot of them in Sky Demon Secret Cave, and it would be hard to guard against all of them . He did not want anything to happen to All-powerful Medicinal Stone here .
But All-powerful Medicinal Stone had quite a number of ways to protect himself . He brought a small puppet beast from his Universe Bag, and under everyone’s surprised gazes, he tied a rope around its tail as well as attached a bell to it .
He then explained himself . “This is a puppet machine known as Treasure Hunting Mouse . Its weight is similar to a small child’s, and its movement speed is quite fast . It can trigger and avoid a lot of traps . I tied a bell to its tail because I don’t want to lose and because many traps can only be triggered through sound . ”

“How many Treasure Hunting Mice do you have? Can you give me one so that I can play with it?”

Little North stared at the tiny puppet mouse with great curiosity .
All-powerful Medicinal Stone rolled his eyes at him . “There are only three Treasure Hunting Mice in Heaven’s Secret Valley . Each one needs one million taels of silver before it can be activated . It’s not that easily destroyed . ”
Little North fell silent .
Happy ignored Little North and nodded in relief . The feeling that he had made the right decision by bringing along a professional became even more prominent at that moment . All-powerful Medicinal Stone saved him a lot of trouble . There were many traps that he could not warn the others about, but All-powerful Medicinal Stone should be able to find them beforehand .
The group followed behind All-powerful Medicinal Stone and the Treasure Hunting Mouse, and they soon experienced the benefits of the puppet .
Some of the traps were triggered beforehand, and arrows, flying needles, poison liquid from hidden holes, and traps where the floor sank were all triggered by the Treasure Hunting Mouse’s nimble actions before anyone could fall for them .
When the group saw the Treasure Hunting Mouse go through the arrows, flying needles, and traps as if it were walking on flat land, they felt incredibly relaxed . They avoided the various traps with the mouse and felt incredibly safe .
But Little North soon realized that All-powerful Medicinal Stone was still being very careful and cautious while they traveled . He repeatedly checked the area around him while occasionally flaring his nose .
“You don’t have to be this careful, right? The little guy has already triggered the traps in front of us . We just need to follow it . ”
“Nothing is all-mighty . If we’re careful, we’ll stay safe . ”
The person who answered him was Happy . He glared at Little North, and the latter quickly hunched his shoulders and stopped interrupting .
Clang, clang, clang, clang…
The Treasure Hunting Mouse ran ahead of them, and the light as well as clear sounds rose nonstop in the tunnel .
When the people arrived at a strange looking broken bridge, they simultaneously cast their gazes down the bridge, but they only saw bottomless darkness . A chill instantly crept down their spines .
“Why is there such a place like this?”
They easily jumped to the tunnel across from them .

All-powerful Medicinal Stone, Silver Wolf, and Happy observed the inside of the tunnel with frowns before they took a step forward at the same time with faint hints of puzzlement and bafflement . They continued to explore the cave .
They walked for less than half a minute before they stopped at the same time . They also looked up . They were in a tunnel that inclined upwards without their knowledge since it was very smooth .
At the center of the tunnel were shallow pits and shattered stones . They formed a trail .
All-powerful Medicinal Stone scowled and quickly approached the wall nearby and touched it with his hand .
Silver Wolf crouched down, closed his hands and sensed the faint sounds that came from the floor, and the creases between his eyebrows became deeper .
Momo and Wind Chimes immediately noticed the abnormality of the trio, and they spoke at the same time .
“What happened?”
“Are we in trouble?”
Silver Wolf sucked in a deep breath . “We’re in a bad situation!”
As he spoke, his body trembled lightly .
The entire tunnel also shuddered, and dust fell from the ceiling .
The group found themselves on unsteady feet . They quickly noticed that the tremors were quickly increasing, and an aggressive presence was coming at them from the depths of the tunnel at an incredible speed!
All of them were shocked by that…
“Be careful! They might be rolling stones!” Silver Wolf was very experienced in such things .
Right when he finished speaking, All-powerful Medicinal Stone ordered his Treasure Hunting Mouse to quickly rush into the tunnel ahead of them . Its clanging sounds were completely drowned out by the increasingly loud and intense booming sounds .
Soon, All-powerful Medicinal Stone turned his head around and said to Happy, “They’re very large rolling stones, and they take up the entire tunnel . My Treasure Hunting Mouse is small, so it could escape through the gaps, but if we run into them, we’ll be reduced to minced meat . It’s impossible for us to get through . Also, by the looks of it, those rolling stones cannot be destroyed .
“We can only return to the bridge and wait for the first wave of rolling stones to pass before we enter . ”
If the rolling stones were about the size of the tunnel, it meant that it was a large, spherical stone that had a diameter of thirteen to sixteen feet .
They had no time to waste . The group quickly turned around and retreated .
They fled at full speed, and they made it out of the tunnel before the rolling stones caught up to them . They instantly shot to the other side of the bridge .
Rumble!
RUMBLE!
The large rolling stones brought with them the feeling that they could destroy everything . They rolled down the smooth tunnel, and they only fell when they reached the broken bridge . A strong gust of wind crashed into the six’s faces .
At that moment, the people finally understood why there was a broken bridge with a bottomless canyon in the place .
“Continue to investigate the situation in the front with the Treasure Hunting Mouse . I think that there will be more than just one wave of rolling stones,” Happy said to All-powerful Medicinal Stone with a somber tone .
All-powerful Medicinal Stone nodded before he answered . “There is a shallow pit where a person can hide once every sixty-five feet . We can avoid the rolling stones through them, but there are quite a number of these shallow pits, so I believe that this path is very long . ”
“Very well! We have no time to waste! We’ll move forward!”
Happy took the lead and ran into the tunnel . He used his full speed straight away .
When they reached the place they were at previously, the tunnel trembled faintly again . Clearly, the second wave of rolling stones was about to come!
Happy did not stop . The group followed behind him, and they soon found the first shallow pit located in the wall…
“Someone stay back!” Happy ordered .
Little North, who was at the end, quickly approached it . Then, it was Wind Chimes, Silver Wolf, All-powerful Medicinal Stone, and Momo .
When Happy discovered a shallow pit that was even further into the tunnel, the tunnel trembled madly . Loud rumbling sounds rose, and a rolling stone came rolling down at an astonishing speed! It grazed the tip of Happy’s nose and went past him!
