Chapter 29: Final Evaluation—Perfect
Borrowing the power of the icicle, Wang Shuo spun in midair and ruthlessly stabbed the Green Dragon Staff down, piercing through the ice to stabilize his body.
Seeing this, the scaled woman didn’t rush to attack but quietly waited for Wang Shuo’s reply.
Wang Shuo suppressed his shock and replied calmly, “You aren’t a projection?”
“Ignorant—”
Before the scaled woman finished, she paused and swallowed the words she was about to say. Her tone softened slightly as she said, “The will of the Temple can pass through the boundary between reality and illusion.
“As long as you swear in the name of the Temple, you can trigger the Temple’s will. How about it? As long as you hand this legendary equipment to me, I can help you complete the Newcomer’s Trial.”
“Help me complete the trial… You’ll have to let me see if you are qualified!”
Wang Shuo burst into laughter. With a flick of his thumb, an orange potion flew directly into his mouth.
“Pfft.”
As an empty crystal bottle flew out, his Physique on the Attributes Window jumped from 4.6 to 5.0 in a second.
In that instant, Wang Shuo felt as if his body underwent a transformation.
Boundless energy surged wildly as a tyrannical wave surged over like a tide.
Even though Wang Shuo was prepared, he still didn’t expect that the increase from 4.6 to 5 to be so terrifying.
In terms of pure strength, the increase was by at least half.
Furthermore, this was different from a natural increase. This power that came out of nowhere had an extremely invasive nature. At this moment, he sought to destroy everything in front of him.
Fortunately, this wild emotion didn’t make him lose his mind.
“This feeling is really… fabulous!”
Wang Shuo’s face twitched as he squeezed out a strange smile. Then with a stomp, cracks began to spread out on the mirror-like smooth floor.

Bam!
Ice crystals scattered all over the sky as Wang Shuo’s figure suddenly vanished on the spot.
“What!” the scaled woman cried out in surprise. She drew a circle in the air with her staff, and a solid ice crystal shield appeared.
The next second, a figure appeared out of thin air.
“Mountain Splitting!”
A green staff shadow swooped down like lightning and shattered the shield.
As ice shards flew everywhere, the spot where the scaled woman had been was empty.
Wang Shuo turned his gaze and saw a figure standing on an ice trail. Her figure flickered again and again like a ghost and retreated dozens of meters away in the blink of an eye.
“Damn it. How can such a monster only have a lowly, low-rank human bloodline?”
The scaled woman had lingering fear in her heart. From what she knew, human bloodlines couldn’t obtain such terrifying powers in the Newcomer’s Trials.
She had taken on the task of fighting 11 trial challengers. Among them, even the rookie with the high-rank bloodline of the holy spirit race could only fight her to a draw, much less those with lower-rank bloodlines. Moreover, she was much stronger than before.
On the other hand, Wang Shuo didn’t care what she was thinking.
With a tap of his toes, his figure charged forward like a violent gale.
Seeing this, the scaled woman sprang into action. Her breakneck speed, coupled with her mysterious and unpredictable movement technique, looked dazzling.
But in Wang Shuo’s eyes, she was like a clown full of loopholes.
Wang Shuo’s attacks seemed straightforward, but he was extremely clever. Every turn sealed off the scaled woman’s escape route.
In less than half a minute, she was forced to a corner of the arena.
“Despicable human, die!”
Seeing that there was no way out for her, the scaled woman let out a sharp shriek. She raised her staff and chanted a string of incantations.

Cold air gathered and instantly condensed into three sharp ice blades that spun toward Wang Shuo from three different angles.
The blades were swift, and the angles tricky.
Just from the looks of it, they were much more powerful than the Cold Lunar Icicle.
But this attack was clearly draining for the scaled woman.
As the ice blades took shape, the ice trail under her feet disappeared.
“You’re staking everything on one strike?”
Realizing this, Wang Shuo instantly became more alert.
He activated Heart Mirror, and the trajectories of the three ice blades were clearly reflected in his mind.
His first staff strike shattered the left one. Then he leaped to dodge the second one and smashed the third one with a horizontal sweep.
But before he could heave a sigh of relief, the second ice blade that brushed past him suddenly spun around and stabbed at him.
“Tch!”
An icy cold chill spread from his lower abdomen. Looking down, he found that a broken third of the ice blade had penetrated the blue barrier and pierced deep into his lower stomach.
The sharp chill spread and caused him to lose control of half of his body.
“Haha! I won!”
The scaled woman let out a sharp, complacent laugh. She waved her staff and chanted, “Cold Lunar—What!”
Not far away, an extremely muscular black wolf was crouching with its four limbs slightly bent and its mouth wide open.
A fireball the size of a washbasin blasted toward her.
In order to cast the high-level spell Winter Blades earlier, she had exhausted most of her mana. And she used her remaining mana on Cold Lunar Icicles, which she was about to complete. So at this point, the scaled woman had no energy left to defend herself.
“No—”
The flames exploded, and the unwilling shrieks abruptly stopped.
[You killed Demon Warlock Heather Lynn (Projection).]
[You receive Projection Treasure Chest x1.]
With the caster dead, the ice blade embedded in Wang Shuo’s lower abdomen dissipated.
After examining the wound, he discovered that the Mystic Turtle had probably absorbed most of the energy. So the injury was surprisingly ‘shallow’, and the blade barely broke through the abdomen.
Seeing that the female warlock had died, the black wolf immediately ran over. It stuck out its tongue at Wang Shuo like a big dog seeking credit.
“Good job.” Wang Shuo smiled and patted its head. With a thought, he took out a Five Grains Pill and threw it over.
The black wolf’s eyes lit up as it opened its mouth to swallow.
Then the dispirited aura on its body recovered slightly.
“Really ate it?”
Since it could eat, this showed that the wolf was an actual living creature, not some magical puppet beast.
Wang Shuo’s attitude instantly softened. “Since you’re a live animal, I’ll give you a name. How about… Garuru?”
“Aowu!”
Evidently, the big dog was delighted with his name, and he happily circled around Wang Shuo.
“I didn’t expect you to be so cute.”
Wang Shuo smiled and stretched out his hand to pat him again. Suddenly, the scenery changed.
A violent tremor came from the front.
The black stone door rumbled violently and slowly creaked open to reveal an elevated platform resembling an altar.
At the same time, a series of notifications flashed like a waterfall.

Survival Recommended
The universe is destroyed and its inhabitants are thrown into Existence. Eli finds himself in a new world, with a new body, and a System that's more interested in how he'll die. Follow him on his journey of survival in Realms above ours. The story is already completely planned as far as major plot elements go, and it's LONG, chinese novel long. The premise isnt exactly the most original, but after a couple chapters you won't mistake it for any other novel. Be warned this has little in the way of childish wish fufillment and lots of characters are going to die, so don't get too attached. As this is my first attempt at writing, the begining will probably be a bit rough. Please don't shy from criticisms, and I plan to rewrite most of the begining chapters as I get better.
