Under normal circumstances, the Chronos squad should have tried to escape and fled as far as they could from the Lee Gaming squad territory. Their situation was already very dangerous if they choose to stay on their formation since all their characters were subjected to the various attacks of their opponents.

But, since Sofia had told her members that they will force their way, nobody retreated. They just watched as the HP of their characters decreased slowly once they were hit. They tried to dodge some attacks but because the enemies were just few feet away from them, some skills had greatly decreased their HP.

All of them may constantly moved from one location to another but they were able to lock the tower as their target.

"They are not retreating!? WHY?!" William became dumbfounded. He assumed that with his bold sneak attack, the formation of the Chronos squad would be disabled and that the team would back away from advancing them.

"Our opponents are too hard to predict! I also thought that this strategy would work for us. However, it did not eliminate even one of the members from the Chronos squad!" Brent's sister sighed in frustration.

"I think they don't plan to retreat? Look, from the start, they choose to pick the support instead of fighter. That's already an indication that they would do rally!" the assassin user of the Lee Gaming Squad stated, She was trying to find the right angle for her to attack, but her movement was very limited.

"Are these players insane? What are they thinking of not retreating?" William lamented. He was proud of himself for being the risk-taker among all the members of the Lee Gaming squad but it turned out, their opponents that he was attacking were more than him! The Chronos squad players were not only risk-takers but also death seekers!

"Back off! Back off!" William chanted while his character was still attacking the group.

In his mind, if the Chronos squad players would not retreat, could the characters in front of him sustain the damage that they are inflicting? Surely, they were bound to be wiped out! or so he thought?

The audience on the bleachers had almost stopped breathing after seeing how the Chronos squad players were targeted by the endless attacks from the Lee Gaming squad.

Their HP had constant fluctuation. Sometimes it would decrease to 40 percent, then to 30 percent. But then, their healer would also help them supply some HP and they would easily gain the HP back to almost 50 percent.

"This is the perfect display of coordination from the Chronos squad. Look! Their support user had been very good at timing his heal and also calculating the cool down of his skills! The entire team managed to sustain despite the barraged of attacks from the Lee Gaming squad!" the older commentator quickly emphasized.

He complimented the Chronos healer but in reality, on the player's lounge, it was Sofia who was directing Joey to heal. The man would just wait for the instruction.

"Wait for 20 seconds then, heal!" Sofia said while blocking almost all the attacks that were coming towards them.

Joey would then check the timer and immediately cast a heal after it reached the time that Sofia said to him.

"This is ridiculous! How can they sustain our attacks when our tower is also attacking? The Chronos squad might be using some defensive cheat?" William finally broke some large beads of sweat on his forehead.

"It's not some cheat code. It's their coordination and their healer's expertise! The timing is perfect. It coordinated to the cooldown of their skills relative to the time of the healer's cool down!" Brent stated.

"AHH! This is so troublesome! I thought I could wipe them out!" William lamented.

"Find a way to move back near the base now!" Brent immediately ordered William to return to their side. He had realized why none of their enemies moving away from their tower.

"My ultimate is not yet done! I can maximize my damage and crowd control effect," William responded unwillingly to stop his character from spinning forward.

"Trust me. Just go back here! I am familiar with how their tank play. Once they would go all in aggressively, they would not back down. They planned to advance to our base!" Brent warned the tank user.

"Alright! This is the turning point of the game. Those who have placed their bet, please be sure which squad name you have written!" the older commentator reminded all the participants of the betting pool.

The reminder was requested by their organizers to be announced for the online betting was about to close. And they could not believe that there are almost a million people who placed their bet with the Chronos squad!

After a few seconds, the online betting pool had raised higher and higher as if some of the gamers were making a last-minute gamble. Those who had placed their bet to the Chronos squad had reached a million and counting.

"Tsk! What kind of opponent did we get? Are they even newbies?" Even if he was unwilling to follow Brent's command, William had no choice. He also realized that the Chronos squad had managed to sustain the attack from him and the tower defensive attacks.

He could not help but questioned if the Chronos players were newbies, just like how they had investigated before the tournament started.

"Of course, their squad is new! They are newbies. But, these players may have experience in other 5 v 5 games. I suspect they play in pc before? I only see this kind of strategy that they use now in the pc games!" the fighter user emphasized.

Without hesitation, the Lee Gaming tank pounced his way to interrupt Sofia's stunned after effect of her hook and then leaped towards their base.

"They are not newbies in combat games. But they are new in this game. So, their combat style strategy is similar to those that you can see in the PVP area of MMORPG games," Brent mumbled.

"Then, in that case..." William trailed and realized that he was lost of words. He could feel that his fingers had become sore for pushing too much of his skills in his mobile screen.

"Don't talk anymore! They had almost destroyed our tower!" the mage user who managed to survive because of William's help reminded them of the crucial situation they are in.

"Okay! All of you, don't hold back your attacks! Defend the tower!" Brent stated and all of them threw every skill that is available on their screen.

The nimble movements of the Lee Gaming members' hands as well as the soft sound of the screen when tap was the testament that the group had finally become serious.

At first, they were acting cool about the situation. However, when they realized that their opponents were determined to push the bottom lane, they needed to perform seriously. They now felt threatened by the determination that the Chronos squad had displayed in front of them.

William exhaled loudly from his seat and adjusted his sitting position.

"These Chronos squad, why are they rushing now? Earlier, they did not attack us directly! But now, they are stubbornly advancing to us!"

Just as this tank user complained the notification that they had anticipated had finally shown up on their screen finally appeared.

Almighty Killer killed the Giant Mutant!

All the expressions of the Lee Gaming squad players turned sour.

"Here is another opponent! Darn! The assassin was really on the mutant area!" William groaned! The other members followed his expression. Their shoulder slumped and they leaned on their seats.

Seeing such notification, the situation on their side had become worse. They felt that they were facing multiple bosses of some MMORPG game in one quest. One boss was the giant mutant. The other boss was the Chronos assassin. Then there is this tank and other members who were very persistent!

"This game was by far the only game where our movements become very limited! Unexpectedly, the Chronos squad had managed to restrict our characters here! Your friend is really a good player, young master Brent," William expressed.

"Yeah! I would not be here today if she had not taught me how to properly play the game. All the principles and tactics that I use in the game, I have learned from Sofia. This is probably why they are no longer retreating. I still hope that a day would come that I will impress her," Brent twisted his head and shoulder to relax his muscle.

"My ultimate should be available before the giant mutant arrived our game. So, let's try to push away our opponents!" William said but it was already too late. Their tower was already destroyed by their opponent!

"We will rely on you to initiate the attack later, William!" Brent stated as he was looking for another position to get a good projectile.

"Yes, I will signal you all! Defend our base!" William muttered and then glanced at the cool down of his skills.

"We can still overturn this game. As long as we managed to defend and wiped out our enemy!" Brent said while letting his character shot bullets to the opponents.
