Fang Qing pushed herself to sit up as she tried to open her eyes. Her sudden movement startled the nurse, who was dressing her wound. Her movement alerted the driver as well.

Only Xu Yi's poker face remained unchanged. He merely looked up from his mobile phone at the commotion.

"Why had I fainted?"

Fang Qing furrowed her brows as she asked weakly. Her sudden effort to sit up caused her to feel dizzy. She had no choice but to close her eyes again.

The nurse took a deep breath to calm herself before she patiently replied Fang Qing. "Miss, you were hit by a car. But your body seems fine. You just need some rest."

This was a first-class ward equipped with the best facilities, and cost over ten thousand for a night's stay.

The nurse had to be cautious about everything she did, especially when the man sitting behind her was imperceptibly pressuring her.

He was making her anxious that she wouldn't dare to look his way.

Even a glimpse of his shadow sent her heart racing and made her breathless.

"I don't need to be on the drip. I need to find my brother. It's urgent. I'm so sorry for this." She took off the drip needle from her hand as she spoke, without even a wince. Then she got off the hospital bed.

Fang Qing only had her brother in her mind. She couldn't care less about her own body and treatment.

Her action startled the nurse.

She tried to stop Fang Qing from getting down from the bed and checked on her hand wound, anxiously persuading her to get back on the bed. "Miss, although you weren't hurt, your body still needs to recuperate for at least one day."

Fang Qing knitted her eyebrows. She bit her lips as she threw a glance at the nurse, then pushed her aside. But the dizzy spell immediately hit her.

She was so weak that she couldn't even sputter a word.

She only had one thing in her mind, that was to get to her brother immediately.

"Your brother is no longer in danger. I found him a suitable bone marrow. They can arrange immediately the surgery for the bone marrow transplant upon your consent. Your brother will recover well after the surgery. So, stop worrying."

The voice was husky and monotonous.

Fang Qing looked in the direction where the voice came from. She was undeniably moved, although still doubtful of his words.

A suitable bone marrow.

It was almost a miracle. Her brother had been waiting for the suitable bone marrow donor for years. But he could instantly get it?

"Is this true?"

Fang Qing took a deep breath before she hesitantly asked.

Xu Yi stood up and looked down at her. He replied with a serious tone, "Yes, this is my apology and my compensation to you."

The nurse relaxed when she noticed that Fang Qing was no longer frantically trying to get down from the bed. Her heart raced when she heard Xu Yi's words.

She was extremely lucky then.

Being ran over by the car was nothing.

"You can tell me if you have any other request."

Fang Qing was still trying to accept that everything that was happening to her was real. She instantly looked better after hearing the news about her brother's recovery.

She immediately thanked Xu Yi, "Thank you so much. You saved my brother's life. You're his life saver. Else, I wouldn't know what to do. Not only was I not able to save his life, but I also won't even be able to pay for his medical expenses."

"I have no other request. I'm already thankful for everything you did."

Fang Qing was blabbering as her face reddened with excitement.

She gazed at him as if she was dreaming, fearing that everything was fake and would be gone once she blinked.

His expression was deep and unfathomable. She couldn't tell of his intention from his facial expression.

Xu Yi flipped through the information in his hand. He contemplated on his words before asking, "Is the Fang family having any financial crisis?"

She was the eldest daughter of the Fang family.

It did not seem right that she couldn't afford the medical expenses of her brother.

Fang Qing's facial expression stiffened; a wry smile appeared on her face. "No. Me and my brother are now orphans. The DNA reports stated we aren't his child by blood."

All the terrible memories came flooding back into her mind at the mention of this.

Tears welled up in the corner of her eyes. Trying as she might, she couldn't control the tears streaming down her face.

Xu Yi's eyes fell on her face. A smirk formed at the corner of his lip and seemed to be in a deep thought.

He seemed to come to a decision after a long thought.

"You can be my bride. Then, your family won't cause you any trouble. You can take it as another compensation to you. What do you think about that?"

Fang Qing was dumbfounded by his words. She stared at him in astonishment.

He was extremely good looking and should have lines of suitors waiting for him.

With his elegance, he was unquestionably wealthy and lived a pampered and comfortable life.

He was definitely a somebody.
