Cheng Mo raced towards the elevator as he was informed of the arrival of the esteemed Sir Xiao. When he had pushed back the meeting, he had not expected Sir Xiao to grace the meeting himself. He wanted to groan in exasperation. It was not like he had pushed back the meeting purposely. The boss had decided to make himself take an impromptu leave for the morning!

And now this...He was so happy with the Boss missus. Thankfully he reached the entrance doors, just in time to bow deeply to the personage. Sir Xiao may be a man who was more than eighty but his straight spine and sharp eyes belied the ferocious personality of the man. His white hair only added to his aura making him look all the more powerful. With a customary smile, Cheng Mo guided the entire entourage towards the conference room. Even as he led them, he internally prayed that the boss would be here soon!

It was only after Sir Xiao had settled in that he noticed the lady that was part of the entourage. With a polite nod, Cheng Mo greeted her. And many things became clear. Regarding the boss missus' sudden current interest in the latest dealings of Alpha Groups and the reason why the boss had suddenly been delayed today. The hospitality team was spot on and soon refreshments and beverages were brought in. Once everything was laid down, Cheng Mo once again bowed deeply and said," Sir Xiao. CEO Wolf has been inexplicably delayed. We did try to rearrange the meeting but it was too late. We are really sorry for the inconvenience. CEO Wolf is on his way and will be with you shortly. He sends his apologies and requests to please let us have a chance to serve you. We have some of the country's best chefs."

Sir Xiao nodded in approval and leaned back in his chair, waving his hands for the others to eat something. In actual fact, after deciding to retire, Sir Xiao did not have much to do during the day. He had heard a lot about the young man and so was curious to meet him. Under normal circumstances, no one would dare make him wait. But he could not blame today on the young man. He had not initially planned to make an appearance. But his granddaughter had called him, asking him for help.

He glanced at his grand daughter who looked so impatient. Though he had stopped going to parties and balls, he had heard about the instance that took place at the Yoo's. And since old man Yoo and him were especially friends, he also knew somethings that his granddaughter did not. He knew why his granddaughter had taken a sudden interest in business. She thought that she had hid it well. But he knew. After all she was his own blood! His daughter's only daughter! But he also knew that Nora had been spoilt rotten! And it was their fault. For pampering her in the excess. Her paternal grandfather and him, they had tried to take care of the little motherless girl as much as they could, and this had resulted in her turning out like this. And even though they were some of the most astute businessmen, they had failed to see what kind of a two faced person their granddaughter had become. The sweet, obedient girl that they thought they had raised was a vicious cunning woman under the veneer.

Unfortunately or fortunately, he did not know, he had discovered her true face accidentally when he had decided to give her a surprise visit when she was overseas. He had tried to find excuses for his little girl's behavior but his heart had been painfully in doubt. He thought of when he had hired the private eye to probe deeply and been shocked. After that he had been unable to keep himself in denial and had only been able to clean up after her.

When he heard the news of Yoo Seok's return from old man Yoo and then subsequently Nora's he had immediately guessed her reason. But this time, he decided to not clean up after her. If he was not mistaken, from what he had heard of Yu Seok's reputation, he had the means to control his errant granddaughter. But then he heard that the man was married and going to be a father soon. This had given him pause. And he started to keep an eye on the couple and discovered that Yu Seok's was also a powerful woman in her own right. Just like his granddaughter, he too had made keen observations. And came to the conclusion that, this couple was capable of making Nora give up. Maybe once she lost something, she would learn. Though he had his doubts.

After a while Nora felt her grandfather's gaze on her and turned to give him hesitant smile. His gaze suddenly gave her the chills, making her feel as if her own grandfather was plotting against her. But when she looked at him again, he gave her his patent benign smile which she could only return unwillingly.

Nora wanted to demand and know Yu Seok's whereabouts but with her grandfather there, she could not throw around her weight. But she also knew that if not for her grandfather, they would have not been able to get a meeting today.

Outside the meeting room, Cheng Mo breathed a sigh of relief as after re arranging the schedule for the 'n'th time, he was told the boss was here!

Yu Seok walked into the office building hand in hand with his wife. Though it had been a known fact that the man was married and many people had also been served the occasional dog food by the couple when they sent each other things but this was the first time they saw the scene with their own eyes. The two people walked leisurely as if they were in a world of their own. The boss who was always fast paced, kept pace naturally with his wife. The beautiful lady boss they had only seen pictures of was even more beautiful in person. Many people who had assumed that the beauty of the lady boss was only due to make up or photoshop were even more amazed at the beauty. it was clear that there was no makeup on her face. They felt that it was very unfair that this woman had been blessed with everything.

And that was the way they walked into the conference room. Hand in hand. When Sir Xiao noticed the couple walk in, he felt his brows raise. It seemed the war had already begun. The busy Chairwoman Xie of Lu Enterprises had come to the Alpha Companies today. He thought of the many similarities she shared with his granddaughter. Both the girls had inherited their position from their maternal grandparents. Both the girls had lost their mother at a young age. And both the girls had fallen for the same man. And yet both of them were so much apart. One had made sacrifices to bring her company back to it's formal glory while the other planned to use her company to fulfill her own selfish motives. Even at the cost of millions of people who worked for them. Of course it could be said that he was just as selfish for putting the bank in jeopardy but he had already made provisions. He knew that this project would never be finished as long as Nora was obsessed with Yu Seok. It was doomed for failure. But this was the price he was willing to pay. Only by shattering his own dream project would he be able to make her dream of being Yu Seok's wife break too. Let her try her best. For he knew that this couple was strong.

Yu Seok walked forward and apologized,"Sir Xiao, sorry to keep you waiting."

Nora, who was waiting expectantly was ignored as after the crisp apology to her grandfather, Yu Seok turned around and introduced his wife to her grandfather. When Nora watched the two people together, she almost felt the smoke coming out of her ears. The scene from last night started to play in front of her and she had the sudden urge to tear away the couple's hands from each other.

Sir Xiao smiled at the couple and generously forgave them,"I am an old man who had nothing to do all day. I only came here to pass some time. And your hospitality has been great."

Yu Seok nodded in acknowledgement and invited,"Then I would like you to join us for lunch since it is almost time. And then we can get back to business after that."

Sir Xiao smiled his acceptance and bringing Nora forward said,"Sure, we can have a small meal and catch up with everything."

Sir Xiao smiled and dismissed his employees while guiding his granddaughter to go out.

Nora who had succeeded in snaring a meal like she wanted could only seethe in frustration.
