Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 178

Wallace returned to the Cloud Hawk Manor to settle some things. His agreement with Drake would still happen in the next full moon so there's still two weeks of preparation.
"Good evening, Sir Wallace. Miss Lacus would like to speak with you. She's waiting in the living room."
"Alright. I'll meet her now."
Wallace wasn't particularly sure why would Lacus meet him. But after thinking about it, this should be natural since they have the same master, they should at least get to know each other.
As Wallace entered the living room, he saw the lady who spent hundreds of millions at the auction. Someone who also has an Assault Airship at her disposal and a Spatial Bag artifact. Lacus is a lady in her 20's who has long blonde hair that has reached her waist, she is notable for her dark pink-colored eyes. Her beauty is probably on par with Miya Linus, the rookie Celebrity Idol he met at his town.
"Senior Lacus, I was told to come here by Sir Clyne."
"Wallace Ravencroft... I heard a lot of things about you. You've easily learned the first stage of AOTL and the new Spirit Forging Magic to create a Sixth Generation Artifact within three days. Very impressive."
"Thank you for your kind words."
Although Wallace wanted to also praise his senior apprentice, he only has superficial knowledge about her.
"Mhm... Do you have your emblem with you?"
"Ah, yes. It's with me, here."
Wallace took out the emblem given to him. He only knows that this is a token of his identity but his Divine Sense had detected mysterious energy coming from it. Since it wasn't harmful, he didn't bother to investigate it further and thought that it's just some kind of a method to differentiate the genuine emblem from possible fakes.
Lacus took out a rectangular device with a size of an adult's palm. The device seems to be a piece of small machinery with strange patterns on it. At the center was an indent where a small object can fit in.
"This is a device used to connect to Veda."
"Veda?"
"You can think of it as the system or a network that the people who became a member of the upper-class uses to connect with each other. You can say it's internet not for commoners."
"I see... So I'm no longer a commoner, huh."

"That's right. It should be Sir Slaine introducing this to you but he had to busy himself for his expedition. He asked me to help you get used to being part of the upper-class."
Wallace stayed silent as he listened to Lacus. It seems that this conversation would take long.
"Your blood was integrated here in your emblem, so all authentication has been completed. Here... place your emblem at this space." Lacus said after pointing at the center of the device.
Wallace followed her instruction and he connected successfully to Veda.
A light came out and a holographic screen appeared in front of the two.
"You can explore this on your own but I have to tell you some things first. It's about the rules of using Veda. We have to be careful of using this..."
An hour had passed as the two discussed Veda and the rectangular device used to connect to it called Terminal. Wallace made several questions which made him realize that this Veda was an amazing private network for selected individuals. This system was also not unique to their country but the other seven countries could also use it to connect with each other.
Aside from the guaranteed security of information dissemination within Veda, it could not be used to other purposes. But even though that was the case, this Veda was still a huge contributor in securing high-level information like Arcanas, Secret Arts, Martial Techniques, High-Level Magic Structures, Forbidden Mana Artifacts, Sealed Mana Artifacts, Arcane Technology, List of Classified Mana Beast, and other wonders of this world can be accessed using Veda.
Using his emblem, he can only access, Level 1 information but it's more than enough for him to realize how big this world of magic is.
"I'll leave for now. Also, take this as a gift, junior apprentice." Lacus smiled and left Wallace to explore Veda.
The latter thanked her and looked at the small box she left.
Wallace opened it quickly due to his curiosity. He wanted to see how generous his multi-millionaire senior apprentice was. As soon as she opened the box, he saw a familiar ring. It was the red and blue ring similar to what he saw at the New Era's Magic Shop, the Blazing Thunder Ring personally made by her.

A couple of days had passed as he returned to his factory at Cove City to make some changes to his plans.

Due to the impressive information he acquired after traveling to the Capital, he realized that he had to make some adjustments and add some details in his new version of the simulator pod. The appearance of Iron Knights and Steel Knights had to be considered.
There are only 2 weeks and 4 days left before he had to go back studying at the academy. There was also his mission together with Drake's squad to borrow his 'bounded' Storage Bag in exchange for allowing him to study the Celestial Fragment for a month. But the fragment will only be given on the day of the mission. He had to settle a lot of things now.
"Avalon, we'll make some change to the virtual reality game."
Wallace started to explain the changes he wanted to do. The combat simulator pod that he was creating had a specific game that he wanted to spread in the whole continent if possible.
He also asked Avalon to create five more Elysiums that will be returning with him to Tanza City.
Four days had easily passed before he completed all the necessary changes in the game and some other trivial things he had to complete for his business. He had even coordinated with Yumi about the license for his product.
Wallace wore the required suit and entered the oval-shaped pod. He wore the breather and after confirming that he was in a comfortable position, he activated the pod.
"Start Link!"
The gel under the pod flowed out to cover his entire body while his consciousness connected to the virtual reality game.
The same four options appeared in front of him but this time, there's already a title for the Adventure Mode. This title didn't show up when Clarice tried the simulator before as he hadn't finalized this game until today.
[ Battle Arena - Survival ]
[ Adventure Mode - Alien Invasion ]
[ Practice Mode ]
[ Tutorial ]
Wallace selected the adventure mode and immersed himself within the game.
He opened his eyes and grinned at the quick introduction being shown to him.
Three hours had passed before he satisfyingly left the game and gave an 'OK' to Avalon to wrap up everything and proceed with the mass production of the game. He couldn't wait to see the reaction of the gamers or magicians going to play the Adventure Mode - Alien Invasion. The only thing left was to make sure that his pods would be sent to the different parts of the country and of course, including the allied countries. As for the remaining countries, he couldn't think of a solution for that at the moment.
This should help him raise some awareness of the world even by a little bit.
Wallace returned to his parent's house and celebrated with them for being accepted as an apprentice of a Grand Arcanist. It was big news for the family. Unfortunately, Clarice already left as her approved leave was over. As for his father, Chase, he was still working on a big project at Seed Holdings in Stella Region but the two sent their congratulations after being informed.
He briefly advised his mother about his activities before leaving the place in the morning as he returned to Tanza City bringing along the additional Elysiums with him. He had enough money to create these Elysiums thanks to the remaining money left by his master. After all, from the hundred million given to him, the Secret Arts: Flowing Spirit was only worth 37 million credits.
He spent another 19 million for the five Elysiums leaving him plenty of allowances. But he had to save these for now due to his plans to acquire a larger place for his hangar and Rank Driver.
"Well, if I started to sell my Simulator Pods, I should earn back my money."
As he returned to his house at Tanza City, he didn't take a rest as he immediately started his paused project. It was the continuation of his research about the technology to stop the Mana from interfering during nuclear fission.
The project wasn't easy but he had some inspiration recently after he learned the breathing method of AOTL, the method to isolate Mana was very unique and he wanted to make some experiments.
Several days had passed as he received a communication from Drake reminding him of their meeting.
"Eh? Already?" Wallace hadn't realized that two weeks had already passed since the end of the auction in the Capital.
He fixed himself up and used his Void Phase to arrive near their squad's location.

A Universe of Bloody Evolution
The Void was never meant to be opened to the Multiverse. The horrors waiting inside it should have never seen the light. And yet, the biggest mistake in the history of creation led to the impossible. In an event later known as the Outbreak, gates appeared in the first Universe, and with them, the Void was free. For ages the Void destroyed universe after universe, spreading its power in every direction, leaving only death and pain behind. But before every Universe met its end, it still had a chance. A small part of the population that survived the initial Outbreak and was granted a mysterious System to help them fight against the dangers that came from the Void. They were the Multiverse's last hope even if they couldn't stop the collapse of their own world. And so the cycle continued until the 36th Outbreak came. Leo Hale, a young reporter from Wolford, was one of the lucky ones to survive when the majority of Earth's population turned into monsters straight out of nightmares. Thrust into a constant battle for his life, Leo was determined to push forward and find his remaining family. Even if it meant sacrificing what was left of his humanity. After all, you either adapt or die. Story of progression and evolution with my take at the post-apocalyptic genre. Unlike most monster evolution stories where the monster rushes to gain human form, here I plan to do something quite the opposite. After all, in a world where almost everything wants to kill you, being human can be hard. Warnings are here to give me the freedom to write whatever is necessary. This is my first original novel. Also English isn't my native language so any feedback is welcome. Remember that even if initially this story takes place on Earth, fictional places, streets, etc will appear. Release Schedule: Monday - Wednesday - Friday Average chapter length: 2000-2500 words (There might be exceptions as is the case with some of the first chapters - most of them are longer.)
