Magical Academy: Rise Of The Supreme Magic Craftsman Chapter 382

The Mage Battalion of the Montego was already wiped out by the Black Sovereign in front of them…
Raven and the members of the Lucent were unable to do anything about it. The Subspace Blaster of the Warrior Mech was too troublesome that whenever it's activated, they can only scatter and avoid the damage it would cause, or perhaps lessen it a bit.
Luckily, their Lucent Knights were capable of speed flight and they could outmaneuver the Warrior Mech… The Float Drive System of their Mechs was incredibly stable and they almost move the Lucent Knights as good as when they're on the ground.
On the other hand, the Warrior Mechs were also keeping up with them using their Gravity Engine. Though these Mech Frames were designed to fight within the airless vacuum of space, they have enough functionalities and equipment to allow them to move without any issues…
What was amazing about their Gravity Engine is that it doesn't matter whether the gravity in the planet they visited is strong or not, it will be adjusted accordingly to let the pilots experience no issues with their combat performance.
"Raven… I think we should retreat for now… The Black Sovereign is stronger than we thought. We can perish here but Blaze must not be destroyed here."
Falcon, Eagle, and the other member of the Lucent have similar thoughts after fighting the Black Sovereign for a while.
The reinforcement from the two other nations have already arrived but they were also unable to do much and could only take a few Mech Frames with their full force… They were even at the disadvantage even after all of their preparations.
Perhaps, if none of the magicians are using Mech Knights and Airships, they would've been defeated already.
The sheer power that an Alien Mech Frame could muster was too incredible that even with all their high-grade Mana Spells, they could barely defeat any of them.
Perhaps, if they can continuously cast Grade 5 spells, these Mech Frames would be easier to deal with.
Unfortunately, they do not have that luxury and could only use whatever they have on hand.
Raven weighed the situation… Julian seems to be planning on making a move himself and was only waiting for other Grand Arcanists and Grand Sages to make a move with him. It seems that he's thinking that it's better to act together to ensure the success of their attack.

However, Raven doesn't have that much time… The Black Sovereign was too strong for them and they have to admit it…
The worst thing was that they also heard that there was a high chance that some powerful aliens are inside that spaceship! These aliens were not even making a move yet and they're already struggling! They have to revise their plan and change their approach with these aliens!
If they didn't do so, they might not have a chance at all and die here…
After thinking for a moment and considering the options they have… Raven decided to contact the council to request an abort on their mission.
He explained his thoughts about this and how Montego was too unprepared for this war. They were too reliant on the stationary Mage Towers that is extremely easy to be targeted by the Spaceship's Cannons.
There was no way to dodge the Black Sovereign's missiles and cannons as they can only try to bear the brunt of their assault, which is not really a good option considering the power of the spaceship.
There are already 8 confirmed Mage Towers destroyed and even if they have several more hundred scattered around the country… There is really no point with that if they can't reinforce each other.
"If that's the best option you have there, you can abort your mission and return here now… Just inform Virgan and Maja about your plans… Are you still communicating with Julian?"
"Yes!" Raven replied.
"Inform him that it's the decision of the council. Suggest to them that they can consider abandoning the region for now and try to consolidate their forces first."
"I understand. I will do so."
Their conversation ended just like that as he did what he was told. Julian can only accept their decision since he knows that they are indeed lacking and was too confident about the power of the Tower…
"Very well. I hope that your country survives that massive attack of the aliens…" Julian said and Raven couldn't find any emotions in his words.
Nevertheless, it's already good enough that he's aware that his country is facing a larger threat than Montego.
Boom! Boom!
"Tsk! Retreat now! Cover the two! Return to Blaze! Hurry!"
"Yes!"
Apparently, two Lucent Knights exploded after being hit by the Subspace Blaster… Luckily, Wallace created an ejectable cockpit that saved the lives of the Magicians.

The Mech Frames were about to capture the two Magicians when the remaining Lucent Knights fired at them with everything they got…
The two magicians all used their Mana Artifacts to use a smokescreen and to hide from the enemies as they returned to Blaze unscathed.
Boom!
"Haha! Take that! Let's return now… Let them handle this."
Raven laughed after he managed to destroy an arm of the Warrior Mech chasing him… The arm is carrying the blaster which made the pilot stop on their chase.

Wallace glanced at the five spaceships below him… His plan was simple, to drop the Floating Islands to these vessels!
Right now, the other floating islands are currently heading their way to the site where the other spaceships are located…
He has to wait until all of them are ready before dropping them at the same time… After all, they will become wary once one of the spaceships was hit by the huge island.
[ The Seiji Alliance is starting to move. Ten of their Airships and more than two hundred Steel Knights started heading towards the mainland. ]
"Did you manage to capture any of their conversations?"
[ Negative. They conducted their meeting in an extremely secluded room within the Palace. ]
"That's too bad. However, they might start a war against Zairus…"
Wallace pondered for a while.
The Imperial Flagship landed in Guwain, a nation allied to Seiji.
Of course, the main reason was perhaps due to the Memory Crystal Mines located in that place.
However, he suddenly thought of another reason! It seems that the Imperial Flagship decided to land there because it is safe and that they will not be attacked by Guwain! This is due to the negotiation made by their council of war which would make sense…
"Avalon, do we have a method to monitor the site where the Imperial Flagship descended?"
[ Yes. Our Orbital Observer is still active. ]
"Very well… I need to see the situation."
[ Affirmative. ]
Avalon dutifully answered as it showed an aerial view of the site…
The Imperial Flagship and the others landed in a forest… There's also a massive place that looks like a quarry not too far from them.
Wallace suspected that it is actually the Memory Crystal Mine.
There are no signs of battle around the spaceships…
"Find their army and see what they're doing."
[ Affirmative. ]
[ Searching… ]
Wallace felt dismayed that the Guwain didn't show any response against the Empire. It seems that his guess is right… The natives or the magicians of this planet have truly betrayed their own place just because of their greediness…
He's hoping that they will do their best to attack the empire but it seems that they will attack their own fellow magicians with the help of the Empire…
'Sigh~'
Wallace was already thinking of wiping of the returning forces of the Seiji Alliance when Avalon came back to him.
[ The Mage Battalion, Mech Knights, Airships, and wheeled Elemental Turrets of Guwain is about 10 kilometers away from the landing site. ]
Then, Wallace saw that the army was just camping and they seem to have no plans of attacking the empire…
There's not even a major movement from them at all.
Wallace clenched his fist after realizing what was happening… This is not good. If the four nations would indeed observe on the back lines as the Empire stabilizes themselves on the planet, it would be completely difficult to defeat in the long run…
"Avalon…" The young man muttered in a low and serious voice.
[ … ]
"I want to destroy the returning army of Seiji Alliance. Find a good spot for me to ambush them."
[ Affirmative. ]
Soon, Avalon found a perfect spot to eliminate them.
It is a part of the sea… A place where there would surely be no witnesses…
Wallace surveyed the area. The Seiji's fleet is predicted to arrive there in about an hour… It is enough time for his floating islands to arrive at the three other sites.
"Very well. You found a good spot, Avalon." The young man smirked as he waited for the time.
Of course, he also checked several times that the state of Kazan and Guwain are truly not planning to attack the aliens.
