Tamer Of Cosmic Beasts Chapter 21

Everyone immediately stopped, both orcs and beastpeople were looking at that vague figure, confused and worried.
The beastfolk were worried about their leader while the orcs were worried about this new enemy.
Akash clapped loudly to gather everyone's attention.
"Let's start the second round, as King Duglu Longmoche couldn't kill King Daan Godlyn, making this round a draw. This second round will have a reward, whoever will kill his opponent will become the one and only King of this entire planet!"
Both races were unaware of just how much land there was outside of the areas they inhabited and ruled, Akash understood that and elaborated.
"Huge swathes of new land exist beyond your villages and this beast valley. What I'm saying is, the winner will rule all of it and its inhabitants the victor will even be blessed with my power.
All the beastpeople were speechless except one.
"What are you doing? Old Daan is barely alive, and you're telling him to fight this monster again?"
The brave one that questioned Akash was Runa, still held by the grip of the Orc King.
~ROOAAWWR~
A wild and loud low-pitched roar came from the battlefield clearing all the dust.
It came from a 2.6 meters tall Lionman with thick muscles that couldn't be ignored. He had huge claw-like hands with razor-sharp claws.
He was growling at Duglu, showing his white fangs.
"Don't worry, Runa, I will tear this buffoon apart."
Runa's eyes turned teary.
"Ol… old Daan?"
The old Daan had evolved into a young beast.
"Yes, it's me. Wait a bit, I'll end him quickly."
Daan said as he moved towards Duglu.
Duglu gritted his teeth and threw Runa away. He jumped high and landed in front of Daan, barely any distance between them. Everyone was baffled how this weak old man could now tower over the Orc King.
"What gave you the right to be so arroga.."
~PAAAAM~
Karma played its role, Daan gave an explosive slap to Duglu before he even finished his sentence. Duglu flew and smashed against a house.
"A wise person taught me that I don't need any right if I had the power to back it up."
All the beastpeople present looked at Akash, understanding what he meant earlier.
Daan ran towards Duglu who was still laying on the ground, he swung his arm with bared claws.

~POFF~
Duglu caught his hand.
"Know your place!"
He pulled Daan's hand down and flung him away with a kick. Daan rolled back and dug his claws into the ground, tearing through it as he tried to stop himself.
Daan growled at Duglu and pounced on him again, the latter pulled out a wooden pillar from the house he had crashed into earlier and hit Daan with it in mid-air.
Daan tried to stand up as quickly as possible but was smashed at again by a huge pillar.
~BANG BANG BANG~
Duglu wrecked Daan's back with the wood until it was destroyed into pieces.
"You thought you could compete with me with only this much strength?"
Daan was laying on the ground but his golden eyes still had clear life in them. Duglu stomped on Daan's body as he growled in pain. Orc King looked at an orc and ordered.
"Bring me my Axe!"
The orc ran towards it, as he was about to pick it up, he was hit by a brick in the face. His tusks broke and jaw shattered as he flew a dozen meters away, bloodied.
"No one will interfere in this duel!"
Akash looked at Duglu.
"It's your personal fight, go and take the axe yourself!"
Duglu humphed and stepped over the body of Daan. The Lion King didn't let the opportunity go and grabbed his legs, digging his claws into the Orc King.
Daan stood up with a roar and swung the body of the orc as the veins on his muscles bulged. He smashed Duglu's body on the ground again and again.
All the orcs gasped at the view of their king being hauled here and there, the same Orc King they were proud of.
Daan lifted the body of Duglu by his leg and threw it towards another nearby house.
~BOOM~
The house collapsed, only the legs of the orc king were visible, blood pouring out of one as the rest of his body was buried under the wreckage.
Daan stretched his aching back and moved towards his opponent to finish him.
"You oppressed us all these years with your power and numbers, you destroyed our homes and imprisoned our people for no reason.
You stole our freedom without a pity causing us to suffer your atrocities.
You orcs violated the dignity and virtue of our mothers, sisters and daughters just because we were weaker than you.
You humiliated our kind, forcing some of us to commit suicide as they could not endure the suffering any longer.
You will pay for everything, here and now. I, Daan Godlyn, will avenge my brethren today!"
All the beastpeople burst into tears, some even sobbed and wept loudly, remembering their fallen families and friends. Runa fell on her knees covering her tear-stricken face with both of her hands.
Daan reached for the body of the Orc King and grabbed his other leg, hoping to break it as well, but suddenly, the remnants of the house exploded.
Before the Lionman could prepare himself, a giant hammer rose from the wreckage and bashed on Daan's head.
Daan was flung into the air and slammed back down onto the ground. His bright, sun-soaked brownish-yellow mane coloured in red blood.
The Orc King stood, holding a two-handed giant hammer. He thumped it on the ground and limped towards Daan, dragging the hammer with one hand, and pressing the wounds on his injured leg, trying to keep the blood loss under control.
"Don't blame me for your weakness. You said yourself that the strong don't need a right to do anything, that's exactly the reason you suffered.
Don't become so full of yourself just because you got a small taste of power, it is useless in the hands of someone like yourself, with no knowledge of how to properly utilize it."
Daan stood up, blood running down from the top of his head. However, he fell down again, his wobbly legs failing him, yet he didn't give up.
"Power should not be used to oppress others, it is meant to protect the weak and feeble who accept you as their king, but mongrels such as you don't deserve to wield such power.
A king should be like a lion, protecting his pride with his life, but you..."
Daan spat on the ground and continued.
"You are nothing more than a leech who sucks the blood of those weaker than you. You know that you are not a suitable king, that's why you committed those atrocities to satisfy yourself.
At first, our beast valley and your orc village were ruled by my forefathers. The first-ever king of these lands was my great grandfather, The Lion King Bimbira Godlyn.
In his time, both orcs and beastfolk lived happily in harmony with each other, minding their own business. Unfortunately, things changed when you orcs grew in numbers and showed your true selves.
Your grandfather killed my father and all my siblings. Because of you, I'm the only one left from that generation!"
All the beastfolks were shocked as well as the orcs except a few elders including Duglu. Runa looked at Daan in awe.
"Old man, why did you never tell us that?"
Daan bent and held his wobbly legs with both of his hands.
"I was afraid to lose you all."
Every beastman and beastwoman present forgot to take a breath.
"My father gathered the beastfolk and started a rebellion against the orcs. Everyone of my generation joined them only leaving the children and females behind. I was the youngest of my siblings, so I was left to take care of them until they returned.
Your father was a Tigerman while your mother was a Catwoman, they were my friends. When they went to fight the orcs, they left you in my care until they returned. You were but an infant. However… they never came back.
So, instead of avenging them, I decided to hide and remain silent to keep you all safe, I didn't want to lose my people once again, you are the only family I have left…
Runa's eyes widened.
"They… didn't die because of a disease, they... they were killed!"
She looked at the Orc King with uncontrollable rage.
"You... you were the reason I became an orphan. I will kill you. I WILL KILL YOU!"
~RAAWWR~
Runa cried, deafening everyone, as her nails grew into thin sharp hooks and her teeth morphed into fangs, reflecting the image of a true carnivore. Her eyes evolved and her round pupils changed into elliptical shapes.
Runa had unlocked her bestial instincts as well.
~HISSSS~
Runa made an angry hiss and placed all four of her limbs on the ground. The nearby orcs tried to catch her.
~WHOOOSH~
She moved with high speed and gouged out the eyes of an orc. With her swift agility, all the orcs' efforts to catch her were in vain
As Akash Tagar was observing her, a thought came to his mind.
"What an abnormal change, maybe that is why the God race had never invaded a single planet of the beastpeople."
