Spring Meadow Mansion

The three-story mansion was built with a castle-like structure, it has a medieval appearance on the outside but has a modern aesthetic appeal when it comes to furniture and interior design.

The mansion housed three people, a vampire boy, a human girl, and the Nanny who was their guardian.

It was situated in a seven-hectare land, surrounded by tall trees and beautiful flowers that bloom all year round. Countless species of birds hover above the trees, hopping from branches to branches. The sound of their chirping was similar to that of an enchanting melody, soothing and invigorating. It also has a beautiful man-made lake nearby. The two teenagers love to spend their free time together in this lake.

Nanny Aida sipped her coffee slowly savoring the aroma of the black coffee with great delight. She's looking through the kitchen window, watching Adam and Jessy playing a ball game in the vast ground of Spring Meadow Mansion. She will be preparing their breakfast anytime soon.

In the eyes of Jessy, this place was her little paradise.

For Adam, this place was both heaven and hell.

The human girl and the vampire boy were playing a ball game.

"Hey! Pass the ball, ugly vampire!" the girl's voice echoed in the air.

Adam didn't move an inch, ignoring her.

He looked at the girl with a mixture of hatred and adoration. He was only ten years old when he arrived in this place. When his parents waved goodbye and left him alone in the new surrounding, he felt so sad and lonely. It was Nanny Aida that comforted him all the time, she nurtured him like her son.

Adam's parents told him that one day he will return into their family's fold. But for the time being, he has to protect and safeguard this pretty evil girl in front of him and become her good companion as well. His parents visited him regularly in his dream, always reminding him that the girl under his watch was their only hope for survival in the future.

Seven years ago, humans had finally created a vaccine that can kill vampires swiftly. The majority of human beings on earth were vaccinated with that powerful formula, invented by a genius chemist scientist whose entire family were killed by vampires. The chemical composition contains in that vaccine can kill vampires in seconds but harmless to a human's body, if vampires bit humans, as soon the human blood enters the vampire's bloodstream the vampire will die instantly. It's famously called Anti-Vampire Vaccine.

Vampires fed on human blood to survive and maintain their age-defying bodies and to strengthen their power.

Due to thirst and hunger, the majority of the vampires perished through the years, their populations were dwindling because they fail miserably to suppress their hunger for human blood. However, there's an existing prophecy foretold by the vampire's clans great shaman, that prophecy passed on through generations. The prophecy was centered around the blood of this certain 'crossbreed', an offspring of a mortal and vampire being that can help transform vampires into human beings completely.

It's either 'die or adopt' kind of situation for all vampires.

And this pretty evil girl that stood in front of Adam- was their last hope for survival. Any vampire who may have the opportunity to drink her blood will gradually turn into human beings within seven days, fangs gone. The vampire's royal lineage shall be pass unto future generations at all costs. She holds the key to the remaining vampires' survival on earth. So, he must watch, guard, and protect her at all times.

Adam sighed, shoulders dropping, if only she has been kind to him all this time, his current life would have been bearable.

Jessy was aware that her playmate was no longer catering to her demands. He just continues staring at her with a look of contempt in his eyes.

"W-what are you waiting for!?" she shouted at him, impatience evident in her voice. "Throw the ball to me now you ugly vampire!" then she giggled maniacally.

Adam closed his eyes trying to control the anger that was boiling deep inside him.

"You ugly vampire! You are the ugliest vampire in the whole world. I am your master and you are my slave! Obey my orders now!" She repeated the same cruel lines over and over again in a sing-song voice.

Until he snapped!

Before she knows it, he was already behind her, his movement was comparable to the speed of lightning! His fingers dug into her arms in a vice-like grip.

Jessy felt his two pointed fangs starting to come out from his mouth, hovering near the exposed skin on her neck. She was shivering with fear when his hot breath came in contact with her bare skin.

"I can kill you now at this very moment!" he hissed.

Inside, she trembled with fright, but she tried hard not to show it. For all the years she insulted him, making fun of his ugly appearance, teasing him over and over again, it's the first time he loses control. "H-hold it- Adam! I'm sorry okay...I'm just joking. P-please stays calm," she yelled in quivering voice, body shaking in terror.

Adam seemed to relaxed a bit, his tensed body starting to loosen up. Then he released her gently from his grip. And she performed the 'thing' that he always anticipated every time she finished insulting him.

For Adam, this is the best part...sweet torture in the best form.

She suddenly embraced him tight. And she whispered the three magical words he always loves to hear, it started last two years ago.

"I love you. You are my only best friend in the world," she had spoken the words sweetly into his face without batting an eyelash. Then she started caressing his back.

Adam smirked and closed his eyes. He loves the feel of her hands rubbing his back, gentle and magical. It always does its job of annihilating his anger, and every time the anger subsided, he realized this girl can manipulate him with just her touch.

The smell of her long black hair was pleasant to his nostrils. He pushes his face deeper into her tresses, inhaling the sweet fragrance of her shampoo.

Her body heat collided with his...Adam loves the glorious feel of her body so perfectly fit with his own body, feels like heaven. And every time her fingers touch the fabric of his t-shirt, it always creates a soothing and pleasant sensation that spreads throughout the length of his body, it invigorates every cell of his body, all the way from the tip of his hair down to his toes. He felt like he's floating on cloud nine every time she pulls this crazy intoxicating stunt of hers.

He could kiss her senseless now and heavens are damned no one can stop him from doing so!

Her embrace was always been heavenly...yet her joke and insults were pure torture to his already tormented soul.

He sighed and then disengaged from her embrace abruptly. 'Welcome to reality,' he told himself sadly.

"Enough! I'm tired of your silly little games! Go back to your room now!" he said wryly.

"Why--- you don't believe me?" she asked him with a childlike innocence that can fool anyone except Adam.

He shook his head lightly, and let out a frustrated sigh."Your words and actions were sweet though, yet that smirk in your lips tells me otherwise..."

"Ohh," she tried to feigned innocence again. Yet she failed, and the smirked was now turning into full-grown laughter.

Every time she smiles and laughs, it never fails to bring sunshine on Adam's heart. What the hell? He always had a hard time understanding why she can arouse so many mixed emotions from him. "So tell me, what movie did you see lately? What movie scene you copied this time and I'm the willing guinea pig you are torturing each time?"

She winked at him playfully. Then she grinned and laughed heartily. "It's the same movie-Adam."

He sighed and groaned. "C-can you make it real next time?" he said flippantly.

"In your dreams!" she retorted back, she stuck out her tongue at him and then run towards the mansion without looking back, she was being followed by the irritated Adam. Her laughter...louder and meaner this time were trailing them from behind.

What a tease! Adam gritted his teeth, clearly annoyed.
