The Last Embrace Chapter 53

One week passed since Prince Zain molested Jessy.
She has avoided the dome garden where her favorite flowers were being housed. The trauma was still fresh. She would only go inside the dome garden if her mother is present or Princess Abigail will accompany her. Jessy kept her recent dark experience with the Prince inside her mind and did not tell a single soul.
Princess Abigail, Adam's sister is a sweet 17 years old girl, she has a straight brown hair and pretty face and always wore a cheery smile around her, which reminded her of Ivy. She would always try to strike a conversation with Jessy and make her life in the Facility more comfortable.
It was one of those nights when human workers were already sleeping and vampires can roam the Outer Facility as much as they like.
"So tell me more about my brother when he still alive. What he's like?" said Princess Abigail.
Jessy flashed a smile. Talking about Adam to someone always releases good feelings inside her.
"He is good, a bit moody sometimes, he treats me well and he is sweet," she added with a twinkle in her eyes.
Princess Abigail smiled at Jessy.
"Do you know that when you talked about my brother, you had this beautiful glow in your face. Did you know about that?" she said.
"Really? I have known your brother for a long time. I grew up with him and he was always by my side. We have a history together," Jessy answered.
The Princess suddenly blurted, "Y-you are in love with him?"
Jessy doesn't want to answer. She doesn't know if she can't trust this young girl in front of her.
Princess Abigail let out a little smile.
"It's okay if you don't tell me. But I really feel that you and my brother have a relationship together. When he visits us here the last time, he can't stop talking about you. He talked nonstop of how pretty you are and all the fun things you do and shared together."

Jessy bit her lower lip. Talking and thinking about Adam brought a painful longing in her heart.
The Princess continues grilling her.
"So, tell me, what makes you attracted to my brother, we both know he is not good looking. His look is not worthy of your beauty. You are not a perfect match when it comes to looks, you are best suited with my older brother Zain. You two look good together."
Jessy sighed. She loves Adam for who he is.
"He has a good heart. He always treats me right and makes me feel special and he loves everything about me."
Princess Abigail let out a sweet smile.
"Aww, so now you finally admitted you are in love with my brother," she giggled.
Jessy shrugged. Adam is already dead, what is the use of hiding her true feelings for him?
"We're both in love. Too bad, it ended too soon," that's all she can say.
"Were you happy with your relationship with my brother?"
"Yes of course. I am, we are."
Princess Abigail held Jess' hands.
"Thank you for loving my brother even though his looks are hideous, you still find it in your heart to love him unconditionally and make his last days memorable."
"Nah, don't thank me. Your brother deserves to be love. I will do it over and over again if I have to."
"No regrets?"
"No."
"Good. I'm maybe young to know what love is but what you and my brother had shared, it's probably amazing!"
"Yes, it is."
They were silent for a moment...
Suddenly, Jessy felt uncomfortable. When she looked behind her she saw Prince Zain entering the dome with a woman beside him. They were laughing and talking. They sat on the bench facing the northern part of the dome. Their back was facing them.

"Who's that?"
"My brother and his attendant, Hannah. I mean they grow up together and she becomes his personal aide at his beck and call."
Jessy saw something in the way they talk easily and the smiles that comes within. She saw an easy friendship and camaraderie between them.
"They grew up together so yeah, they were much closer now than before," added the Princess.
"Oh..."
"Why...you're jealous of her?" the Princess eyed her.
Jessy shook her head. "Nah..."
"You should be, after all, he will become your husband a few months from now. Technically, you and my brother should be together more often. But I haven't seen it happening yet. You two are so distant like fire and ice," the Princess commented.
Jessy wore a disgust on her face.
"I don't like your brother," she said.
"But he likes you. He grew up thinking and loving you. He was very excited to see you in person. It must have been hard on him knowing that you don't like him as much as he likes you."
"I can only love Adam. I can't love your other brother. I think they were suited well with each other." Jessy motioned her head towards Prince Zain and Hannah that were laughing at each other's joke.
Princess Abigail watched his brother's back keenly.
"Hannah adored my brother very much. I won't be surprised anymore if she will fall in love with my brother one day."
Jessy looked at the girl's head. Hannah was laughing and hangs at the Prince's every word.
"Looks like she already did," she said. She is a woman and she knew when a woman is in love, it will show in her body language. Jessy thought that it's good that Prince Zain hangs out with another woman. If his attention is elsewhere she will be safe from his evil intentions and she doesn't have to watch her back and worry about him all the time.
Princess Abigail seemed to agree with Jessy.
"Come with me, I will talk to Hanna. I don't like it when she still hangs around with my brother knowing he already got his future wife under the same roof. It's quite provoking to me," she said.
Jessy placed a firm hold on the Princess' arms. "No. Don't interrupt them. Let them enjoy each others company."
"But you should be the one spending time with my brother not her," the Princess insisted.
"It's okay. We will have lots of time spending with each other after the wedding," replied Jessy just to shut up the Princess.
"I would really love to have you as my sister in law," she smiled affectionately at Jessy.
"Of course, the feeling is mutual," Jessy smiled back at the Princess.
Before they exited the dome, Jessy glanced at her back one last time.
She shuddered when her eyes meet the Prince piercing eyes, he smirked at her.
She threw him her own venomous look before she proceeds to get out of the dome with the Princess.

Arduous New World
Alright, so I'm using this as a whetstone to practice my fiction writing. I have dyslexia, so bear with me if I have any mistakes, if you point them out I'll try and correct them. The story is LitRPG, I'll try and avoid some of the tropes, see FAQ. What happens is that the world turns out to be a simulation coming to an end, and beginning on its new simulation, in this process the system of the universe declares that the new simulation will be rpg-based. The protagonist however is thrust into an empty space before the simulation comes to an end, he escapes and finds that the world as he knew it is gone.Chapters will come sporadically as I'm quite busy IRL. FAQ1: There will be no Harem. 2: If any sexual content, it will be be below the screen, example sentence [they made love - or - they had sex]3: I'll try to keep character motivations steady instead of having characters who says and does one thing in one chapter, only to change their mind in the next one. 3: Villains or "bad guys" won't be charicatures. Of course, as in real life, you can meet these people, but as far as big bads or antagonists goes, they will have some modicum of intelligence. 4: The MC does not have an encyclopedia of random knowledge. 5: OP'ness won't happen overnight, and it is something that I'm wary of in terms of adding it, of course eventually the MC will grow more powerful, but there won't be any cheats, except hard work; and the luck factor will be more or less similar to the rest of the population. 6: He won't be opposing the universe, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant7: he won't become friends with god/the ghost in the shell etc, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant, and an ancient simulation ai has no interest anyway, why would it ? Okay that's that for now.

Cosmic Plague
In this world, everyone is cursed with a single fate: Become the most powerful. But those who do become powerful, they hate it. Power is misery and death is the solace. လလလ Nazar, a weapon of mass destruction created by the ancient God of Destruction revolted against his creator a long time ago. While he did defeat his creator, the power he was given is still within him. He is cursed with infinite power, standing at the top of the celestial hierarchy. He has more power and wealth than he needs. But even then, he craves one thing; death. He wants to die. Power is misery and death is the solace, but he cannot achieve his only goal. He cannot die. Perhaps that will change when one day, an ancient cosmic Goddess rises from her grave? Perhaps she will finally kill him? Or will she fall short before his awesome yet terrible power? Only time will tell. This is a high cosmic story about the hypocritical life of the protagonist and how it affects everyone (and everything) around him. Naturally, it features very overpowered characters with a lot of high stakes battles roaming across the cosmos. Warning: Swearing, some suggestive sexual gestures/words, gore. Feedback is highly welcomed. (The story was originally named, God's Return, but I wanted to change it.)
